When the cosplayer is even more buff than the character; Dr. Yuan Herong pulls off an exceptionally sexy Kitana from Mortal Kombat

A few weeks back we shared some spectacular cosplay photos of Dr. Yuan Herong’s take on Street Fighter’s Chun-Li and Juri, and the response was so strong we figured we just had to share her take on Mortal Kombat’s Kitana as well.

When she’s not at the hospital or home, Dr. Herong is at the gym sculpting every last inch of her incredibly muscular body. Most times you have to use a little imagination as real life humans try to imitate the rather ridiculous exaggerations that are most fighting game characters, but in this case the cosplayer is actually buffer than the cosplayed.

The embeds below contain more than one photo, so be sure to click the arrows to navigate through and see all the enticing angles and poses.

We kick things off with a relatively simple pair of photos as Dr. Herong shows off killer glutes and bonkers back muscles. The following reverse shot gives us a view from the front. The first thing you’ll notice is the pack of perfectly sculpted abs, but as you look longer you’ll begin to see a full MK9 Kitana cosplay as well:

This next embedded collection contains a whopping eight photographs. Our subject strikes a ton of possible win and/or taunt poses as she puts her full figure on display.

The bright and regal blue really adds to Kitana’s natural air of royalty, but Dr. Yuang looks a lot more like a fighter than a pampered princess:

Our last embed here is a video where you can see the professional body builder actually flex and move in her costume. The amount of definition here is jaw-dropping, especially when you consider the fact that Miss Yuang is also flexible enough to easily raise her foot directly above her own head at a 90 degree angle (at least, it looks that way in her Juri video from our previous post).

It’s more than clear that an absolute ton of work went into making this presentation possible, and we’re both awed and appreciative. Let us know in the comments below what you think of Dr. Yan Herong’s cosplay photos here, and be sure to follow her on Instagram for plenty more.
