Ponticelli is seeking a skilled Welding Engineer to join our team in Nigeria for a significant infrastructure project. The ideal candidate will haveextensive hands-on experience in welding engineering on oil&gas projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement welding procedures and specifications in compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Conduct welding inspections and assessments to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Collaborate with project managers and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of welding processes into overall project execution.
Provide technical support and guidance to welding teams on-site.
Participate in the review and approval of welding qualifications and certifications.
Troubleshoot welding-related issues and propose effective solutions.
Maintain accurate documentation of welding processes, inspections, and certifications.
Profile Wanted
Education:
IWE (International Welding Engineer) with a minimum of 3 years of experience, or
IWT (International Welding Technologist) with significant practical experience in welding engineering.
Experience:
Proven experience in welding engineering within the oil and gas or construction industries.
Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and standards (e.g., ISO, ASME).
Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure.
