Warriors’ Steph Curry drops 37 in win over Embiid’s 76ers

SAN FRANCISCO — A contingent from the NFC Champion 49ers sat courtside to watch the struggling Warriors with an opportunity to show off a little of their own winning pedigree.

Golden State got a hobbled Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers on the back end of a back-to-back, but still pulled out a solid 119-107 win on Tuesday night.

Steph Curry scored a team-high 37 points shooting 12-for-17 from the field and 8-for-13 from 3 with a little pizazz to get the courtside Niners Trent Williams, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk, among others, up and out of their seats.

Embiid hadn’t played in the 76ers’ game Monday night in Portland with a knee injury, then left Tuesday’s game in the fourth quarter after Jonathan Kuminga landed on his knee while they fought over a loose ball. The reigning MVP scored just 14 points on 5-for-18 shooting.

Klay Thompson was a late scratch for Tuesday’s game due to an illness, giving Brandin Podziemski the start along with Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins and Kuminga.
