Ward Committee Officer: Office of the Speaker at Midvaal Local Municipality

REQUIREMENTS:

Garde 12.
National Diploma (Public Administration) will be an added advantage. Computer Literate (MSWord, Excel & PowerPoint).
Valid driver’s licence.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, adaptability, assertiveness, leadership, conflict and stress management, negotiation skills, problem solving skills, office management, strong administrative skills and writing and typing skills.
Attention to detail.
Project management skills.
Strong understanding of political / organisational policy, procedures, surrounds, and services related to ward committee operations and functions.
At least 2 to 3 years’ relevant experience pertaining to ward committee or other community related services/programs.

DUTIES:

Responsible for operations related to administration within the Ward Committee operations:
Distribution of Ward Committee Resolutions to relevant stakeholders.
Arrange, compile, and distribute Ward Committee meetings (Agenda and Minutes).
Attending Ward Committee meetings.
Liaising with relevant stakeholders to promote good working relations between ward committees and council.
Proper workflow planning in terms of creating a favourable image of the council.
Conflict, dispute, and grievance resolution from time to time.
Developing and implementing operational/business plans developed in conjunction with ward committees to improve customer service.
Perform any other related ad hoc duties or functions as required by the Speaker, Supervisor or Top Management.
