Vane gameplay trailer released for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, launch date revealed

After the bumpy ride of the original fighting game, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising seems to be off to a pretty strong start and will soon have its third DLC character already.

Following the conclusion of the game’s main tournament at the Arc World Tour Finals 2023 today, Cygames revealed the first gameplay trailer for Vane in Granblue Rising as well as confirming his release date.

As can be surmised by looking at him, Vane battles with his large halberd with a focus on the mid to close range combat without a ton of reach on most of his moves except for a sweeping slash special.

He’s also shown to have a shield he can summon to hover in front of him to help absorb a hit as the knight gets in as well as a flurry of stabs and an uppercut.

In the main Granblue lore, Vane is the vice captain of the Order of the White Dragons and childhood friend of Lancelot. He is said to be kind and helpful to basically anyone he comes across.

Vane’s official release date is now set for Tuesday, April 2, for $8 USD by himself or part of the Character Pass 1 for $35 with the previously released Lucilius and Nier Automata’s 2B plus the upcoming Beatrix and two more unannounced fighters.

Beatrix will presumably get her gameplay unveiled at Evo Japan 2024 next month as well ahead of her May release window.
