Indications emanating from Cross River State Ministry of Information Communication Technology, under the leadership of Chief Offu E. Aya, suggest very strongly that Gov. Ben Ayade's vision of digitalising Cross River State will become a concrete reality.
Earlier today this press outfit had reported that Commissioner Aya was already in China, as at yesterday, with a delegation of the Cross River State Smart City Project to conclude arrangement with the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), Huawei Technologies Coy. Today, the Commissioner and his Smart City Project delegation from the state were conducted around Huawei Production headquarters to inspect their facilities. Prince Adjah E. Adjah, the Media and Publicity aide to the Honourable Commissioner intimated Negroid Haven, saying that 'While the our team where conducted around Huawei facilities, we were informed of the fact that in the year 2015, Huawei's 2500 staff generated the sum of $18 billion which account for our obvious global appeal'. According to the media aide, it was estimated by the Commissioner that, 'should Cross River State Government employ a staff strength of 500 Cross Riverians to further the objective of the Smart City Project, then the astronomical impact to the economy of the state is anticipated to be gargantuan'.
Before the commencement of the tour of the production facilities of the company by the representative of Huawei Technologies Ltd, the Commissioner and his smart city project delegation were treated to a menu of exquisite cuisine of the Chinese people during breakfast.
