After Saturday evening’s lacklustre showing that ended in a 2-2 draw away at Bournemouth, pundits and fans alike had a lot to say with regard to the game and ten Hag ‘s decisions.

One hot topic in the latter’s regard was ten Hag’s decision to hook Alejandro Garnacho off at half time.

The major talking point besides the substitution was Alejandro Garnacho liking tweets from Mark Goldbridge questioning ten Hag’s decision to take off Garancho.

‘Garnacho has been one of our best players this season. Poor first half but taking him off at half time and holding him up as the problem is a joke. Many have done much worse week in week out and are still out there’ Goldbridge posted on his X account after the game.

This was one of the tweets young Garnacho liked.

The other one was in reference to ten Hag ‘allegedly’ blaming Garnacho in the post match conference.

‘Ten Hag subtly blaming Garnacho in the post match press conference…not a good look throwing a 19 year old under the bus who has actually delivered for you this season. But then again he’s clearly scared of upsetting the bigger earners’ Goldbridge posted.

Garancho liking both of these tweets certainly boiled up lots of chatter although as Academy Scoop reports, there is nothing untoward in United’s behind the scenes.

As Academy Scoop reports on their X account, A source close to Manchester United has privately described the situation as ‘totally over and a non-issue’.

According to the report, the club appreciates that Garnacho quickly unliked the posts and consider the matter handled.
