Update on Project L coming tomorrow, game's official name set to be revealed

Another update for Project L is on the way and arriving very soon. Executive producer on the title, Tom Cannon, took to Twitter this morning to let fans know that more information on the upcoming League of Legends fighting game is set to drop tomorrow.

According to Cannon, tomorrow’s update will be a quick one, but we’ll learn some important things about the game, it seems. As far as what’s on the docket, Cannon notes that we’ll actually be learning the real name for the game.

“Hey folks, Tomorrow (for real) we’ll drop a quick Project L update,” Cannon wrote on Twitter. “It will also be the last Project L update, because we’re announcing our actual name and social channels. See you then!”

Since as far back as 2019, this upcoming fighting game has been referred to as “Project L.” Despite it being well known as Project L, that isn’t what the game is actually going to be titled.

As such, we’ll finally learn what Riot Games has decided to name the project when tomorrow’s update rolls around.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen anything substantial about Project L revealed. The last major announcement for the game happened in August of last year when Yasuo, The Unforgiven, was announced as a playable fighter.

With that having been said, we probably won’t get a ton of details about the game tomorrow as Cannon specifically noted it will be a “quick Project L update.” Hopefully we get at least some better idea of when the game might launch, but we won’t know for sure until tomorrow rolls around.
