Party Stalwarts of the PDP at the Margaret Ekpo Int’l Airport, welcoming Senator Gershom Bassey

The recent uproar against Senator Gershom Bassey representing Southern Senatorial District of Cross River State in the National Assembly according to the Senator’s inside source claims that some unscrupulous elements within the Senator’s envoy staged a runaway with cash meant for transport for guest and party faithfuls who went to welcome the Senator just to embarrass his campaign bit.

Evidently; guest, supporters and party faithfuls of the PDP were left unattended to after hours of waiting for the Senator at the airport and finally escorting him back to his house in grand style to the viewing splendor of spectators.

An angry protestor of the Senator’s neglect to provide for his constituent who came to welcome him, simply identified as Etim said,

we had to leave all our activities to welcome Senator Gershom Bassey in the spirit of the party but only to be embarrassed with N200″
“I am even lucky, what about those have not gotten anything, will this even make up for our transport in the first place?
