A woman’s video tour of the “fully functioning Airbnb pub” she recently rented has gone viral.
The video, found here, was posted to TikTok on Thursday by Kelly Mccann (@kellymccann8), who wrote: “Coolest Airbnb ever!!” Already, the post has racked up more than 720,000 views and over 65,000 likes.
“Okay, I’m going to give you a tour of the pub that we rented for the weekend,” said Mccann as she walked into a room that contained an air hockey table, dartboard and billiards table.
Viewers could also catch a glimpse at the pub’s stone walls and wood floors as she rushed into the next room.
“All this pub is ours,” she said. “How cool.”
As she made her way into the main bar area, she briefly showed viewers the pub’s “sitting room” and stepped out into the property’s outdoor smoking area.
“Smoking area, ooh,” she commented as she headed toward the “stunning” wood bar.
She concluded the tour by showing viewers a couple of the property’s upstairs bedrooms, explaining that the pub can sleep up to 16 people.
Of course, Mccann’s viewers were dying to know the location of the rental property.
“Just gonna give you a tour of this pub we rented, but it’s a secret, not telling anyone where it is,” joked McButcher2k.
Mccann responded to McButcher2k by creating a follow-up video, in which she shared that the pub is located in West Cork, Ireland. She also included a link to the property in the video’s caption.
“The original pub dates back to the 1800s when three cottages were converted into the 2nd licensed public house in Ireland,” read the property’s description.
According to the listing, the pub closed to the general public in 2017.
In addition to an interesting history, the “self-catering pub” also boasts 43 amenities including Wi-Fi, an indoor fireplace and a private patio, as well as six bedrooms.
TikTokers were charmed by the property and quickly took to the comments section of Mccann’s video to make vacation plans with their friends.
“Omg can we go [please],” Em asked lindschels.
Holls tagged a group of friends and asked: “Guys, shall we rent a pub?”
Clodagh McDermott, who also tagged a couple of friends, simply said: “Unreal.”
Believe it or not, the pub at which Mccann stayed isn’t the most offbeat Airbnb property to make headlines.
A Winnie the Pooh-inspired home was listed on Airbnb’s website for a couple of days back in September in honor of the beloved bear’s 95th anniversary.
Winnie the Pooh illustrator Kim Raymond, who helped design the “Bearbnb,” defined the property as “a unique experience that brings the charm of Pooh for life for fans, whilst honoring the original adventures that have been so important to many people for 95 years.”
The property is now closed to the general public, but photos of the storybook home can still be viewed here.
