The prestigious University of Calabar which is known to the world to be one the best institution when it comes to medicine has been given a big grant to start its downline in the neighbouring West African country.
The Department of Family Medicine under the faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, College of Medicine, UNICAL posted this on the school portal www.unilag.edu.ng saying:
Based on our University′s pioneering role in undergraduate Family Medicine, I have been nominated into the West African College of Physicians (WACP) team to mobilize Physicians in Cote D′ivoire towards establishing Faculty Medicine as well as initiate processes that will facilitate training in Family Medicine in Cote d′Ivoire which would be University based.
The WACP and Faculty of Family Medicine counts on our expertise as this activity will further enhance regional integration policy which is a major aspect of their strategic plan.
