Tekken 8 is one of those type of fighting games that tries to incorporate real world martial arts techniques whenever possible. Of course, there are plenty of instances in which combatants are able to utilize more fantastical abilities, such as the Electric Wind God Fist, but many attacks are based on actual moves in the real world.
As such, it isn’t unfathomable to think that a scene from Ultimate Fighting Championship could be recreated in Tekken 8. Needless to say, The Amazing Robin was able to do just that based on a certain match.
While the two opponents are sizing each other up, one of them goes for a kick. This gets blocked, resulting in both fighters readjusting their spacing from one another.
The same aggressor from before then opts to try to surprise the other with a spinning backfist. This also gets scouted and blocked, which seemingly gives the impression of an opening.
However, we then see the combatant spin the other way with yet another spinning backfist. This one seems to land a clean hit, resulting in the opponent immediately crumbling.
It’s actually quite incredible seeing this scene play out both in real life and in Tekken 8. They end up matching pretty well.
