Simon Jordan has weighed in on the logistical aspects of a potential Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua heavyweight world title fight.
It has been an eventful past few days in the boxing world, as Fury has done a complete U-turn from calling out Oleksandr Usyk for an undisputed heavyweight world title fight, to now proposing a ‘Battle of Britain’ clash with Joshua.
After Usyk beat Joshua by split decision, it seemed the next step would be a clash with Fury for all the belts.
However, the Ukrainian has made it clear that he doesn’t want to fight again until next year, as he needs to recover from injuries and spend time with his family.
This has prompted Fury, not wanting to wait for Usyk, to offer Joshua a shot at his WBC heavyweight world title and the promoter of ‘The Gypsy King’, Frank Warren, has said he will be sending an offer to AJ’s team before the end of the day.
In terms of the financials, Fury has revealed that they will be offering Joshua a 60/40 split, which seems very reasonable and so shouldn’t cause any sticking points in negotiations.
The location of the fight could be a problem, however, as Fury is insistent that he wants the bout to take place in the UK.
talkSPORT host, Simon Jordan, though, believes the only possible location is Saudi Arabia.

“I just think for what it’s worth, the only way this fight happens is in Saudi, that’s where the money is. I don’t think it happens in the UK.” Jordan said.
“This is a super fight,” Jordan continued. “Tragically for us, a super fight in this modern day does not happen in this country, it happens in Saudi Arabia.”
