Tyson Fury shows off training progress and wants to ‘end year with a bang’ as Gypsy King prepares for December clash with Derek Chisora

Tyson Fury is working hard in the gym and looking in great shape ahead of his trilogy fight with Derek Chisora.

It has been a chaotic past few months for Fury since coming out of retirement, as he always insisted he wanted to fight before the end of the year, but the issue of an opponent was a little more tricky.

After calling out a number of opponents, Fury finally settled on Chisora as his opponent for December 3

Initially, the Gypsy King called out Oleksandr Usyk to take part in an undisputed heavyweight world title clash, but the Ukrainian said he did not want to fight until next year as he needed to recover from various injuries and spend time with his family.

Fury then turned his attention to Anthony Joshua, but negotiations between the British rivals collapsed almost as quickly as they began.

Next up was the 37-year-old former WBA ‘regular’ champion, Mahmoud Charr, who made numerous call out videos for Fury.

But eventually the Gypsy King landed on a trilogy bout with Chisora, which is due to take place on December 3 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

In the first fight between the pair, Fury won comfortably by unanimous decision in 2011 and then he followed up with a stoppage victory in the rematch in 2014.

Now that Fury has finally settled on an opponent, he can turn his focus to training and he is looking in good shape, as he took to Instagram to show off his physique.

“Just finished work hard Wednesday,” Fury said.

“Getting there, getting in shape, getting solid as a rock.

“Working hard everyday, cannot wait for December 3 – come on, bring it on, let’s end this year with a big bang!”

Fury later revealed he is taking a break from social media, presumably to focus on getting back in shape ahead of the December 3 bout.

“Real life please,” he posted in Instagram. “All posts will be handled by #TeamFury.”
