Tyson Fury did not seem bothered when told about the WBC’s decision to make Dillian Whyte his next mandatory challenger.
The WBC confirmed on Wednesday night the winner of Fury and Deontay Wilder’s third fight, live on talkSPORT this Saturday, will be ordered to defend against Whyte, so long as he doesn’t lose to Otto Wallin on October 30.

The mandatory will be called unless the Fury vs Wilder 3 winner can work out a deal to face Oleksandr Usyk next – which seems highly unlikely as this would require Anthony Joshua to forfeit his rematch clause.
Upon hearing about this for the first time, Fury told reporters: “That’s something I’ve not been told or am even interested in right now.
“I’ve got Deontay Wilder to deal with first and then me, my team, we’ll all sit down and make a decision on what’s next.”
Fury later added about his heavyweight rivals: “Just for the record, I can beat them all. Every single one of them put together.
“They can’t beat me, none of them can beat me.”

Fury’s US co-promoter Bob Arum told iFL TV: “Last time he [Whyte] was mandatory, he fought Alexander Povetkin and got knocked on his a**.
“Let me tell you, this Wallin is a hell of a fighter and I look for Wallin to clearly beat Whyte, so I’m not even taking it into consideration.
“I don’t think Whyte gets by Wallin. Wallin’s a really good fighter and I don’t think Whyte’s a good fighter.”
When asked if he’d stage Fury vs Whyte in Las Vegas, should Whyte beat Wallin after all, Arum said: “Yeah, of course in Vegas.
“The big fights belong here. Sometimes you do it in the UK, but the PPV in the US is robust.
“The gate – the travel ban will be lifted in November – 10,000 Brits would come over here for the fight.
“They wanna come to Vegas, and Vegas is made for those kind of tours, so it works better here than any place in the world.”
