December 21, 2024 Brooklyn, New York – Two people were wounded Saturday afternoon after bullets sprayed near the Q train platform of an elevated subway station in Brooklyn, authorities said.
According to police, a 21-year-old man was shot once in the leg and an 18-year old male was grazed by gunfire in the stomach.
The moments leading up to shots being fired is still under investigation. One of the men wounded reportedly ran out of the station with a group of frightened subway patrons and was found by police outside.
Both men were transported by EMS to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition, cops said.
A male and female suspected of involvement in the shooting on a Brooklyn Subway platform are wanted for questioning after two people were hospitalized following the daytime gun violence.
The transit shooting was reported at around 3:30 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Avenue U and East 15th Street at the Q train station.
