Terry Bogard’s gameplay trailer was recently unveiled during the Gamescom 2024 presentation. With that, we now know that Terry is slated to be released as the first guest character in Street Fighter 6 on September 24, 2024.
Like always, the next DLC fighter will come packaged with a new patch to ensure that the character is compatible for everyone, even for those that don’t purchase him. It turns out that we’ll have some new features to look forward to with this upcoming update.
The first new feature is some sort of V(irtual) Rival Match. Essentially, this will allow players to train against a new AI.
According to the That Hashtag Show, the V-Rivals mode pairs a player up against an AI opponent based on their ranking league. The idea is to supposedly provide players with a training method without the phobias associated with jumping online.
Street Fighter 6 is also apparently taking a page out of Guilty Gear and Tekken 8’s books with the new Replay Takeover feature. As the name implies, a player can takeover as one of the players observed in a replay.
This will likely prove to be an effective training method for even the high level players. Without the need to jump into the training mode, it’ll be possible to practice alternate scenarios to better understand the game.
