President-elect Donald Trump is planning on holding a major “victory rally” at the Capitol One Arena in Washington, D.C., on January 19, just one day prior to his inauguration as the 47th president of the United States.
The rally, which has been labeled the “Make America Great Again Victory Rally,” is currently being promoted by the Trump Vance Inaugural Committee on its website. Underneath the event headline, the committee wrote, “Join President Trump at Capital One Arena for a victory rally you’ll never forget!”
According to the website, doors at the Capitol One Arena are expected to open at 11 a.m., with the event scheduled to begin at 3 p.m on Sunday January 19. Tickets are currently available online; however, only two tickets can be obtained by each mobile phone number, and all tickets are “subject to first come first serve basis.”
ABC News reported that an email sent to Trump’s supporters read, “This is President Trump’s VICTORY RALLY the DAY before being sworn in as the 47th President — the crowd needs to be HUGE!”

The outlet also noted that the Capitol One Arena, which hosts the Washington Wizards National Basketball Association team and the Washington Capitals National Hockey League team, can hold roughly 20,000 people.
In a statement to NBC News 4, Monumental Sports & Entertainment, the organization responsible for Capitol One Arena’s operations, confirmed that Trump will be welcomed at the arena.
“We have made our arena available to every administration for inaugural events, dating back decades, irrespective of party,” the organization said. “We are happy that President Trump has accepted our offer and we will welcome him and his guests to Capital One Arena on January 19.”
Following the Make America Great Again Victory rally on January 19, Trump will be sworn in as the 47th president at the U.S. Capitol on January 20.
