Travis Kelce is aware of your thoughts about him at his weekly indie concerts. You’re especially thinking of him when he’s at Coachella, with none other than Taylor Swift by his side. Jason Kelce, his brother, encouraged him to give an insider’s view of their April 13 date night at the desert music festival. There, Travis and Taylor were spotted in the crowd, enjoying the music with the rest of the fans.
Travis shared his perspective on the April 17 episode of their New Heights podcast. He explained why they chose not to watch from backstage. He said, “I like to see it from the fans’ perspective.” Travis is a music fan, and he loves live shows. He wants to experience it from the front of the stage.
He could have finessed it to watch from backstage, but he thinks the experience is more authentic in the pit. He said, “It’s just that much more of an experience if you’re in the pit, man, if you’re in the madness with all the fans.” Travis loves the madness, the unpredictability, the raw energy of the crowd.
For Travis, a Kansas City Chiefs player, spending the entire weekend surrounded by live music was like losing himself in a daydream. It’s a magical, almost surreal experience for him. He loves every bit of it.
