A devastating building collapse in Ibadan, Oyo State’s capital, has claimed the lives of 10 individuals, with seven others injured. The incident occurred at 2 a.m. on Thursday in the Jegeda Oluloyo area of Ona Ara Local Government.
According to the Oyo State Fire Services Agency, a distress call was received at 2 a.m., prompting immediate response.
General Manager Yemi Akinyinka recounted, “We received a distress call from the people in the neighborhood at 2 a.m. When we got there, ten people died outrightly. Three people had been recovered before we got to the place, and our men recovered four. They are still working.”
