PARADISE — The town of Paradise has two afternoon meetings scheduled this week, one about funding and the other about noise.
Tuesday at 4 p.m., the Measure V Oversight Committee will review financial reporting from the first and second quarters of fiscal year 2024-25 and consider whether the town should the ending balance to purchase a Type 3 Pierce International BX3 Fire Engine. Measure V established a sales tax and provisions for use of the funds, including citizen oversight.
Wednesday at 2 p.m., the Planning Director/Noise Control Office will hold a public hearing on a variance requested by PG&E “to exceed the noise ordinance time limits for audible construction and/or demolition work” along Skyway between Wagstaff and Pentz Roads from March 31 through, at the latest, Dec. 19. This is for the underground utility project.
Both meetings are at the Town Council Chambers inside Town Hall, located at 5555 Skyway.
