  • Orban’s Insight Into The Global Systemic Transition & Hungarian Grand Strategy | The Liberty Beacon

Orban’s Insight Into The Global Systemic Transition & Hungarian Grand Strategy

Worth Reading: He said that the Ukrainian Conflict was a “red pill” for him and elaborated on the ten ways in which it opened his eyes to reality.

    Andrew Korybko reports on Substack

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban elaborated on the global systemic transition and his country’s grand strategy within it during a lengthy speech at the Balvanyos Free Summer University and Student Camp over the weekend. The over 11,000-word English transcript was published on Monday, which the present piece will summarize for the reader’s convenience. It began with him reaffirming that it’s his Christian duty to promote peace and mocking the EU for its Orwellian “war is peace” mantra.

He then said that the Ukrainian Conflict was a “red pill” for him and proceeded to elaborate on the ten ways in which it opened his eyes to reality. First, there have been enormous casualties on both sides, but each will continue fighting unless external stakeholders diplomatically intervene since they’re convinced that they’ll win. Second, the US went from containing China to waging a proxy war on Russia, which pushed those two together and prompted questions about why the US would do this.

Third, Ukraine’s resilience in spite of its objective economic and demographic weaknesses can be explained by its sense of mission that fills it with a higher purpose, which is to become the West’s eastern military frontier. Fourth, Russia has also proven itself to be impressively resilient, and it’s nowhere near collapsing like Western leaders hubristically predicted. Fifth, the EU has undergone fundamental changes since the latest phase of the Ukrainian Conflict began two and half years ago.

It now follows the US Democrats’ lead instead of retaining its strategic autonomy, and the traditional Franco-German axis is now challenged like never before by Poland, which has allied with the UK, Ukraine, the Baltic States, and Scandinavia to create a new center of power in Europe. This is actually an old Polish plan (Pilsudski’s “Intermarium” from the interwar period) adapted to contemporary conditions brought about by the Ukrainian Conflict and fully assisted by the US.

Sixth, the West’s standards are no longer universal and it’s experiencing “spiritual solitude” after the entire non-West refused to follow its lead in isolating Russia. Seventh, the biggest problem in the world is the weakness and disintegration of the West caused by its lack of leadership and seemingly irrational policies, which is accelerating China’s rise as its global systemic challenger. Eighth, Western Europe’s worldview is now post-national while Central Europe still believes in the sanctity of the nation-state.

This dichotomy explains the West’s seemingly irrational policies since each half of Europe is operating according to a completely different philosophy. The US is also experiencing a similar division between those like Trump who want it to remain a nation-state and his opponents who want it to become a post-national state. According to Orban, this division owes its origins to the sexual revolution and student rebellions from over half a century ago, which sought to free people from any form of collective identity.

Ninth, the West’s post-national trends are convulsing democracy and leading to friction between the elite/elitism and the people/populism. And finally, the tenth red pill is that Western soft power/values aren’t universal but are actually counterproductive since Russia’s strongest international attraction nowadays is its resistance to LGBTQ. Orban then said that these trends are leading to the rise of the non-West, which he believes first began with China’s admission to the WTO in 2001 and might be irreversible.

Trump’s priority is to rebuild and strengthen North America, to which end he’ll squeeze the US’ European and Asian allies while negotiating better deals with China. His end game is to make the US self-sufficient in energy and raw materials so that it can stand a better chance at retaining its declining position in global affairs. The EU has two options: it can either become an “open-air museum” (passive international actor) absorbed by the US or pursue strategic autonomy in order improve its standing in the world.

What’s needed is more connectivity, a European military alliance with its own defense industry (albeit without federalization), energy self-sufficiency, reconciliation with Russia, and admitting that Ukraine won’t join the EU or NATO. It’ll return to its prior role as a buffer zone and will be lucky if it gets security guarantees in a US-Russian agreement. Poland’s power play will fail because it lacks the resources to replace Germany so Orban expects that his “Polish brothers and sisters” will return to Central Europe.

He also considers all of these changes to be an opportunity. Developments in the US favor Hungary, but it must be careful about any deals it might offer due to the Polish precedent. Warsaw bet everything on Washington and received support for its strategic goals, but now it’s “subject to the imposition of a policy of democracy export, LGBTQ, migration and internal social transformation.” Orban ominously notes that this combination risks of the loss of Polish national identity if these trends continue unabated.

Hungary will remain in the EU, but the bloc’s East-West divisions between those that correspondingly respect the nation-state and those that are moving beyond it will widen. The EU must also accept that it’s the loser in the Ukrainian Conflict, the US will abandon this proxy war, and the EU can’t realistically pick up the tab. All the while, Hungary will rely on China for modernizing its economy and boosting its exports, which will lead to mutually beneficial outcomes.

A Hungarian grand strategy is required in order to maximally take advantage of the opportunities brought about by the ten previously described red pills and their abovementioned consequences. What’s already been decided upon since his government began work on this after the 2022 elections isn’t yet digestible and widely comprehensible by the public, and he said that it’ll take around six months for everything to become clearer for them, but he still shared the gist of what this grand strategy entails.

The first part is what he describes as connectivity, which he explained as being plugged in to both the Eastern and Western halves of the global economy. The second is sovereignty, with a focus on the economic dimension by promoting national companies on the world market, reducing debt, becoming a regional creditor, and boosting domestic production. The final part is bolstering his society’s resilience by halting demographic decline, preserving villages, and maintaining Hungary’s distinct culture.

Orban ended by explaining that all Hungarians across the world must help advance this grand strategy. The global systemic transition is expected to last another 20-25 years so the next generation will be tasked with completing its implementation. Their liberal opponents will try to offset this, but such efforts can be counteracted by recruiting young nationalists to the cause.

The impression that one gets after reading through his speech in full is that Orban is this generation’s most visionary European leader.

  • SCAMHC crisis center set for development

SCAMHC crisis center set for development

    Published 9:15 am Saturday, August 3, 2024

South Central Mental Health Center has announced the award of two rural development loans, to enhance mental health crisis services in the region and state. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) granted approval for the awards on June 14. The funding will enable South Central to construct a new Rural Crisis Center in Brantley with a projected opening date of May 2026. Operational funding for the Rural Crisis Center will be provided by the Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH).

SCAMH provides services in Butler, Coffee, Covington, and Crenshaw counties.

The South Central Rural Crisis Center will be a designated place for individuals to walk in, and/or for law enforcement, first responders, and EMS personnel to drop off an individual who is in mental health or substance use crisis throughout the day, 365 days a year. At a center, an individual can receive stabilization, evaluation, psychiatric services, and referral to community resources.

Plans for the South Central Rural Crisis Center mark a significant step in enhancing rural mental health services as it will play a crucial role in the Alabama Crisis System of Care. Gov. Kay Ivey and ADMH Commissioner Kimberly Boswell have been supportive in advocating for this initiative, recognizing its importance in addressing the mental health needs of rural communities and ensuring comprehensive care is accessible to all residents.

Local community and county officials have also expressed support.

“We live in a time where mental health issues are more prevalent than ever before. This facility will provide much needed services for those seeking help. With the support of Governor Ivey, Commissioner Boswell, and the state legislature, we are making significant strides in improving access to treatment. We are grateful for the confidence placed in us to establish this crisis facility,” said William Tate, Probate Judge of Crenshaw County.

The Town of Brantley utilized funds available through the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) and Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) to extend water and sewer services to the project site and construct an access road into the industrial/business park, laying the groundwork for the construction process to begin. The construction of the crisis facility is anticipated to begin October 2024 and is expected to be completed by May 2026.

South Central Mental Health currently operates a psychiatric urgent care facility in Andalusia that provides walk-in psychiatric crisis evaluation and intervention services Tuesday to Saturday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Recognizing the growing need for continuous crisis support, South Central plans to expand the facility’s operations to provide 24/7 services, ensuring individuals in mental health crises have access to immediate care and support at any time of day or night. The urgent care facility will continue to operate until the construction of the crisis facility in Brantley is completed.

I am deeply grateful to God. It’s so humbling to see the numbers increase by the day.

“And we discovered you are the only verified gospel artist in Nigeria on Tiktok, how did that happen?”

I guess the TikTok App just decided to serve me a reward for hard work and Consistency. Lol “Just Joking”. Honestly, I’m not sure how it happened, just woke up one morning to the Blue Tick.

“Your latest song ‘This Year’ went viral on social media and it was featured on US Afrobeats billboard, tell us about it.”

Yesss! So shocking how the song ran into millions of streams just in the first few weeks of its release. “This Year” also made to the US Afrobeat Billboard, starting with No. 43 on the Chart, then moved to No. 35. It’s been topping different charts ever since.

“Your song also beat Miley Cyrus “Flowers” to become number 1 on Shazam, top 100 in France among other ratings.Tell us also about these feats.”

Surprisingly, it started on No.3 with Miley Cyrus at No. 1. Then few days forward “THIS YEAR” knocked Miley Cyrus “Flowers” to take the No. 1 spot for a long while.

“It’s been an interesting year for you so far, with International collaborations from France and East Africa to say the least. How do you manage the exposure that comes with that? What Influence do these collaborations have on your Music?”

Hmmm… The exposure or fame can be very intoxicating, I must be honest. However, I thank God for the people around me, most especially my family. They help to keep me in check and ensure the focus is not blurred.

As regards the influence on my music. I’ve got a new audience listening to my sound, and that for me is really amazing.

“Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?”

In 10 years, I see myself mentoring a community of young passionate musicians all over the world. Help them stay in Purpose and achieve their dreams.

“What is your advice to upcoming musical artists”

I’d like to encourage everyone of them. It might feel like no one sees and celebrates your hard work, but God celebrates diligence, and He’s got time in His hands. Keep Blessing lives.. Leave God to the rest.

  • Kamala Harris and the Great Democratic Cheat Machine | The Liberty Beacon

    By: Daniel Zoernig

There is a Cheat Machine out there.

It worked in the 2020 general election and it’s no doubt gearing up again for another run. The only question is, will it work twice?

Four years ago, after the results of the presidential election finally came in, it was obvious there were problems and inconsistencies with the process. Dead voters, bogus residencies, midnight ballot dumps in crucial swing states that magically propelled one candidate over the other in just a few short hours, 2,000 mules, video evidence of poll workers running ballots through scanners multiple times, etc.

A lot of people took those instances as evidence of massive voter fraud, while a lot of people dismissed them as evidence of the mere anecdotal. Either way, I don’t think those matters were given adequate consideration, because they were never properly adjudicated as cases were thrown out by judges across the country. The Supreme Court never involved itself, though I think it should have, because this is far more important than who uses what bathroom, and Attorney General William Barr washed his hands of it about 30 days after the election, hardly enough time to give it its due. (Even a lawyer for your average murder trial gets a year to hash through the evidence and prepare.)

So these instances of irregularity have always bothered me, but because there’s really no way to get around the “anecdotal” nature of this, one is left to conspiracy theory, cynicism, or abject despair… which may be the point of the whole thing anyway.

But it disturbed me to the degree that I wanted to find some sort of clearinghouse for the whole matter. Where could one go to find data revealing what actually happened four years ago? Where could one find an aggregate collection of data uncontaminated with opinion, bias, or any other point of view apt to skew an average citizen’s quest for accuracy? And after some thought and rumination, I found a place I’d not immediately considered before, a place that just might give me some valid information and a little peace of mind.

I found the U.S. Census Bureau.

The Census Bureau is not really known for anything but data. Raw data. Who was born, who has died, who has children, who does not, and so forth. The Bureau is trusted by the likes of Ancestry.com, the Selective Service, and the curators of the largest genealogical database on earth, the Mormon Church.

So. What could the Census Bureau tell me about the results of the 2020 presidential election? Well, it told me quite a bit.

It told me that Joseph R. Biden received 81 million votes, and it told me that Donald J. Trump received 74 million votes. Three million people also voted for the Communists, the Greens, or themselves. Okay, what else did it tell me? Well, it told me that at the time of the 2020 election, there were 168 million registered voters. So, I got out a pencil and a pad of paper and did me some flyover country cipherin.’ My remedial math skills are not very good, but this was not much of a challenge.

    81+74+3=158

    158 is 94% of 168.

(I had to use an online percentage calculator for this, because again… poor math skills.)

    But, Hmm…

So, just using very rudimentary data provided by the Census Bureau, we can see that for the first time in American History our voter turnout has finally rivaled that of the old Soviet Union, Communist China, and Casto’s Cuba. Huzzah… I knew someday we’d finally catch up.

Now, the Census Bureau is not known for making mistakes, but if these figures are not merely wrong but catastrophically wrong, then we oughtn’t have a census bureau at all.

So this is what there is:

A written synopsis of the 2020 election on the Bureau’s website states that voter turnout was 67%, but for some reason this is not included as a data point in their table of percentages for the last 100 years.

However, in more recent decades, say from 1960 to 2016, the average turnout has risen to 62% with the pinnacle being 63% in 1964. Since then, we have turned out in numbers below that. Until the last general election, that is.

Either because America loved Joe Biden with a passion or hated Donald Trump with the same, the electorate apparently kicked in the doors to the polls and stampeded en masse to vote in never-before-seen numbers. But again, such figures while possible, are not especially plausible. Sure, one could attribute mail-in voting procedures put in place to address Covid as a cause for the jump (and notice none of these procedures have been revoked back to normalcy now that Covid is no longer a thing), but then we are still left to wonder about that annoying 94% turnout rate that the Bureau’s data actually reveals after you do simple math. This is a 33% increase over just the previous election’s numbers and nothing close to the 67% turnout rate claimed in the Census Bureau’s written synopsis.

Perhaps they did not think it likely someone would actually check the data and do the math. I would hate them to think we are that stupid and I admit I am not that smart, but again, the Census Bureau is located in Washington, D.C. and I live in the middle of a corn patch called St. Louis, Missouri. It’s conceivable there is bias against Yokels.

Just for fun, and for historical context, the average voter turnout for the United States according to the Census Bureau between 1920 and 2020 is a fairly anemic 48%. That’s a 100-year trend that really hasn’t gotten more robust over time.

So having seen this data and digested it, I suppose I have to admit that I am officially an Election Denier. But I do not know what else I can be. I don’t want to admit that our electoral process is compromised, but I don’t see how it is not. And so this brings me to Kamala Harris and the Great Democratic Cheat Machine.

Very smoothly, Kamala Harris stepped into the role of presumptive nominee when the carcass of old Joe from Scranton was shoved to the side of the road. And with his last gasp he endorsed the vice president. Immediately she began setting records for donations, Hollywood jumped for joy and the media cried about her many accomplishments.

“Who doesn’t love a yellow school bus, right? Can you raise your hand if you love a yellow school bus, right?”

It is time for us to do what we have been doing. And that time is every day.”

“…when you think about it, there is great significance to the passage of time in terms of what we need to do to lay these wires… And there is such great significance to the passage of time when we think about a day in the life of our children.”

“We will work together, and continue to work together, to address these issues… and to work together as we continue to work, operating from the new norms, rules, and agreements, that we will convene to work together… we will work on this together.”

    She’s so smart!

No she’s not, but she is ambitious and willing to trade integrity for power. That thought balloon floats above Willie Brown’s head like a zeppelin. So I believe she will still draw many voters back to the booth if only through the sense of relief that comes with, “whew!” at least she is not Joe Biden… Maybe I’ll vote now after all!

So it could be a close race despite Trump’s resurgence in the polls. And really, that is all the Democrats need. A reasonably close race. Because if Harris runs within 10 points of Trump on election night, it will be analogous to the 88 mph they need to get the Cheat Machine spooled up and blasting down the track before it evaporates in a plasmic cloud, rocketing us all into Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World, (I confess that I envision this Cheat Machine as a DeLorean.)

So strap in and hold on tight, folks. Either way it’s going to be historic if not fatal.

  • COLUMN: Encouraging the consideration of choices

COLUMN: Encouraging the consideration of choices

    Published 7:30 am Saturday, August 3, 2024

Knowing your healthcare options empowers patients and caregivers to make informed decisions about available treatments when facing illness.

Vickie Wacaster, Patient and Hospice Advocate with Aveanna Hospice (formerly Comfort Care Hospice)

Some suggested questions to ask physicians when considering any treatments are:

    1. What treatments are available for my illness?
    2. What are the chances that a particular treatment will be effective?
    3. Will this treatment prolong my life?
    4. What are the risks of a particular treatment?
    5. How will this treatment affect my other medical conditions and treatments?

While it may seem logical to try every available treatment, it’s important to remember that your physician is there to guide you. They can provide valuable insights into the potential benefits and risks of each treatment, helping you make the best decision for your unique situation.

    6. What is our next step if this treatment does not work?

If hospice is suggested as the next step, it is helpful to know that receiving hospice early, rather than in the last few days or weeks, means a patient enjoys a longer period of stable, controlled symptoms. This allows the patient and the caregiver to focus on other parts of life, while the caregiver receives support and guidance, providing a profound sense of relief and reassurance.

In other words, if a person is eligible for hospice, there is no reason to wait to start care. Everyone deserves the best possible care from the first moment of life to the last. While many illnesses in their advanced stages cannot be reversed or cured, there is still hope to live each day as fully and comfortably as possible.

In a study conducted by The Center for Gerontology and Healthcare Research, it was suggested that involving family members/primary caregivers in the decision-making and preparing them for what to expect is not just beneficial, but integral to the care process. This involvement not only improves bereavement but also may offset increased mortality risks associated with caring for a terminally ill loved one, making them feel deeply valued and integral to the care process.

Also, very important, please take note that patients and families wishing to receive services from a particular hospice should be sure to communicate their choice to their physician, case manager, scheduling or referral person, etc. It is always the patient’s and family’s choice, regardless of whether you are in a nursing facility, hospital, assisted living, or private home resident. Please use your voice and demand the best. Your choice matters and you are in control.

On another note, at times, out-of-town physicians, hospitals, clinics, and specialists are not familiar with the geographical hospice locations, so patients are referred to hospice agencies not located near the patient’s home. The distance a hospice nurse must travel is crucial if the patient gets into a crisis. Again, use your voice and demand the best.

If you have any questions or concerns about hospice services, I am here to help. Whether you’re a patient, a caregiver, or a physician, I’m available to provide information and guidance about the benefits of hospice care.

“We may not be able to change the outcome, but we can certainly change the journey.” Lisa Teel 1 VP of Operations, Aveanna Hospice

Choosing just one from my repertoire is somewhat difficult, as my favorites include stuffed tomatoes, ricotta gnocchi with cashew pesto, pumpkin and mandarin risotto with crispy goat cheese, cocoa pappardelle with lamb ragout I also love making desserts like the mango-lime semifreddo, panna cotta with rice pudding and pineapple flambé with rum, and cinnamon tiramisu.

  • International Boxing Association will award Italy’s Angela Carini with Olympic champion prize money | The Liberty Beacon

ER Editor: The International Boxing Association is, gasp, Russian apparently. Good on them for their appropriate actions regarding biologically female boxers having to compete against the men the IOC has allowed in through regulatory negligence.

This is still smelling like theatre to us.

A reminder that there are two men in the Paris Olympics boxing as biological women. Here is a report on the second boxer beating his female opponent, Taiwan’s Lin Yu Ting —

IBA is to award Angela Carini of Italy with Olympic champion prize money

    IBA

International Boxing Association (IBA) will award Angela Carini, who abandoned the fight against Algeria’s Imane Khelif at Paris 2024 Games after 46 seconds of the first round, the IBA prize money as if she were an Olympic champion, President Umar Kremlev claimed.

Carini refused to continue the fight against Khelif from the last 16 in Paris, as she mentioned that she wasn’t able to continue.

‘I couldn’t look at her tears,’ President Kremlev said. ‘I am not indifferent to such situations, and I can assure that we will protect each boxer. I do not understand why they kill women’s boxing. Only eligible athletes should compete in the ring for the sake of safety.’

Kremlev also said that IBA will support Sitora Turdibekova of Uzbekistan. Today Turdibekova unanimously lost to Lin Yu-ting from Chinese Taipei, who was also deemed ineligible by the IBA back in 2023.

In May, the IBA leadership took a bold decision to award all Olympic champions and medallists of Paris 2024 allotted prize money. The unprecedented move in the history of the sport is aimed at supporting the athletes, coaches, and National Federations, as well as underpinning IBA’s commitment to delivering the best support for its athletes, based on their hard work and dedication to the sport of boxing.

As stated, all Paris gold medallists in the boxing tournament will receive a substantial financial reward of $100,000. Out of this amount, the athlete will receive $50,000, their National Federation will receive $25,000, and their coach will receive $25,000. For a silver medal, $50,000 prize money will be awarded, with the athlete receiving $25,000, and the remaining $25,000 being distributed evenly between the coach and the National Federation. For a bronze medal, we will provide $25,000, of which $12,500 will go to the athlete, and $12,500 will again be distributed evenly. Additionally, athletes who lost in the quarterfinals and finished 5th, will each receive $10,000 from IBA, making the total prize money fund commitment equalling more than $3.1 million USD distributed to over 100 boxers.

  • Where Technology Meets Adventure in the World of Software Engineering – The US Times

In the realm of technology, where lines of code shape the future, there exists a software engineer whose journey is as enchanting as the systems she builds. Meet Serene Mathew, an ardent architect of digital marvels, with a heart fueled by curiosity and a spirit that yearns for both knowledge and adventure.

In the depths of Serene’s memory lies a transformative moment—a time when a young, wide-eyed Serene first laid eyes on a computer machine. It was a serendipitous encounter that ignited a profound fascination within her soul. Witnessing the machine obediently responding to human commands, she sensed an inexplicable connection, as if the realms of man and machine harmoniously intertwined. Encouraged by her mentors, she embarked on a journey into the world of programming, never once doubting her chosen path.

The early chapters of Serene’s professional life unfolded in the vibrant technology hub of Kochi, India. Yet, as her skills flourished and her hunger for exploration grew, she realized the confines of her hometown could no longer contain her boundless spirit. With a resolute determination, she embarked on a quest to find a place where she could marry her passion for technology with a desire to immerse herself in the diverse tapestry of global cultures.

Destiny unveiled itself in the form of Babbel, an exceptional language-learning app nestled amidst the bohemian charm of Berlin. Serene felt an inexplicable magnetic pull towards this dynamic city, recognizing it as her gateway to an exhilarating world of opportunities. With unwavering courage, she left the familiar behind and ventured forth, ready to embrace the unknown.

At Babbel, Serene found herself surrounded by a kaleidoscope of languages, perspectives, and vibrant personalities. The symphony of global minds harmonized effortlessly, each note adding depth to the collective composition. Collaborating with individuals from far-flung corners of the world, she reveled in the beauty of cultural exchange, forging connections that transcended borders. Every day, as she delved into her work, her heart swelled with gratitude for the tapestry of human experiences that enriched her professional journey.

But Serene’s passion for technology extended far beyond her workspace. Her insatiable curiosity urged her to continuously explore new frontiers within the realm of software engineering. Engrossed in the art of creation, she dedicated her precious moments to research, reading, and experimental tinkering. It was in these sacred spaces of exploration that she discovered her most audacious ideas, breathing life into code and infusing it with human emotion.

Yet, amidst the realm of algorithms and digital landscapes, Serene remains acutely aware of the beauty that lies beyond screens. She savors stolen moments in the midst of cobbled European streets, her bicycle carrying her through enchanted lanes. And when the sun sets, she surrenders to the adrenaline of a city run, her footsteps synchronizing with the vibrant pulse of urban life. Even within the walls of an indoor cycling sanctuary, her spirit soars as she pedals to the rhythm of her dreams.

Serene Mathew embodies the essence of a modern-day trailblazer—a seeker, a dreamer, and a guardian of human connection in a realm often dominated by machines. With every line of code she crafts, she intertwines empathy and ingenuity, crafting digital symphonies that resonate with the human spirit. Serene, the weaver of dreams, inspires us all to embrace the world with open arms and pursue our passions with unwavering determination.
