  • Trump Posts On X In Big Return Ahead Of “Unscripted” Interview With Elon Musk | The Liberty Beacon

Trump Posts On X In Big Return Ahead Of “Unscripted” Interview With Elon Musk

(TYLER DURDEN REPORTS) – Former President Donald Trump is preparing for tonight’s highly anticipated interview on the X platform with Elon Musk, which is expected to be an ‘internet-breaking’ event.

The interview on X is set to begin live-streaming at 8 pm EST – 5 Western Musk wrote on X,

“This is unscripted with no limits on subject matter, so should be highly entertaining!”

The world’s richest man noted, “If you have specific questions & comments, post them under the chat.”

On Sunday evening, Musk launched multiple stream tests, garnering millions of views to ensure X’s backend systems are ready for scaling ahead of tonight’s conversation.

Test preparations followed the May 2023 streaming event on X between Musk and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, which suffered multiple technical difficulties.

Despite Trump’s posting to only Truth Social, the former president has finally returned to X around 1120 ET. Trump’s last post on X dates back to August 2023.

    And another.

    ***

In the days following the attempted assassination of Trump at the Butler, Pennsylvania, rally in mid-July, Musk endorsed Trump. With that came Trump’s U-turn on electric vehicles as well, declaring: “I’m for electric cars; I have to be because Elon endorsed me very strongly. So, I have no choice.”

Musk and his entourage of tech VCs have for decades supported Democrats, if that’s Obama, Clinton, and Biden. But in recent years, especially for Musk, he has declared war on the ‘woke mind virus‘ and Marxism pushed by Democrats. Furthermore, Musk believes in secured borders and law and order in cities – something the Trump ticket supports at the very core level.

    ***

The interview with Musk and Trump, unscripted, is yet another sign legacy ‘far left’ corporate media is dying as the next-gen media rises from the ashes this election cycle. It’s only a matter of time before presidential debates will be held on X.

  • Ohio man allegedly injured father, fatally stabbed mother after she kicked him out of house

CINCINNATI (TCN) — A 40-year-old man was taken into custody over the weekend for allegedly killing his mother and critically injuring his father after his mother reportedly told him he could not stay at their house that night.

According to the Green Township Police Department, on Friday, Aug. 9, at approximately 4 p.m., officers and paramedics were called to a home on the 3300 block of Palmhill Lane regarding a stabbing. When they arrived, they found two victims with apparent stab wounds, one of whom was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified her as Barbara Mortimer. Medics transported the 75-year-old male to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police said the suspect, Kenneth Mortimer, fled the scene before police arrived. They allege Mortimer attacked his parents in the midst of an argument. He was reportedly later found in Cincinnati and arrested. He is in the Hamilton County Jail on charges of murder, attempted murder, and felonious assault.

Court documents cited by WCPO-TV allege Barbara Mortimer told Kenneth Mortimer during their argument that he was not allowed to stay at their house that night. They reportedly got into a physical altercation, and Barbara Mortimer told her husband to call psychiatric services. Kenneth Mortimer reportedly attacked them, but Barbara Mortimer managed to escape outside. Kenneth Mortimer allegedly tackled her and “dragged” her back inside, where he continued to stab her.

Mortimer allegedly confessed to the stabbing while speaking with police.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports Mortimer pleaded guilty last year to public indecency and was sentenced to 93 days in jail and probation.

Records show Mortimer’s bond was set at $2 million.

  • Report: One of Two Illegal Aliens Who Tried to Breach U.S. Marine Base ‘Was on Terror Watch List’

    From Breitbart:

An incident report, obtained by Judicial Watch, reveals that one of the two Jordanian illegal aliens — accused of trying to breach Marine Corps Base Quantico in Prince William County, Virginia, in May — “was on a terror watch list.”

Judicial Watch obtained the incident report, filed by Marine Base Quantico to Marine Headquarters, through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. According to the report, on May 3, 32-year-old Hasan Yousef Hamdan and 28-year-old Mohammad Khair Dabous drove a truck to the base’s main gate and claimed they were making a delivery to Quantico Town’s post office.

Hamdan and Dabous did not have credentials to enter the base. Despite orders to stop, the report alleges that the pair tried to breach the base. Hamdan, according to the report, only had a Jordanian passport on his person.

  • Theater Of The Absurd, Harris-Walz Edition | The Liberty Beacon

Theater Of The Absurd, Harris-Walz Edition

The strategy of the “Harris-Walz” campaign depends on people being dazzled by their theater of the absurd.  Both candidates claim now to believe things they have spent the last decades attacking.

    Roger Kimball | American Greatness

H.L. Mencken apparently never quite said that “No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.” He said lots of similar things, however, and I like to think he would have been proud of being the sort of chap to whom people attributed such astringent mots.

He would also, I feel sure, regard the theater surrounding the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz campaign as a test case of the proposition.

Last week in this space, I pointed out the irony of the Sudden Harris Ascendancy Syndrome. Here she was, one of the least popular figures on the American scene—someone, moreover, whom everyone, no matter their political coloration, regarded primarily as political life insurance for Joe Biden—and yet, Wham!, the very moment Biden resigns, her media reconstruction begins in earnest.

I almost wrote “media rehabilitation,” but that would not have been quite right. We say that someone is rehabilitated when he has fallen from a previous state of health, competence, or popularity.

Kamala Harris has never been competent or popular.  So what the media has done to or with her these last couple of weeks is more of an outright fabrication project. In part, as I wrote last week, it is a product of “magical thinking,” the belief, or at least the hope or pretense, that by saying something is so, you magically make it so.

The primary aim of this bit of theatrical slight-of-hand is positive.  It is to make people believe, for as long as they inhabit this theater of the absurd (the show runs, by the way, until November 5) that the person answering to the name “Kamala Harris” is not against fracking, though her doppelgänger, who existed until July 21 when Joe Biden dropped out of the race, was adamantly against fracking.

Similarly, Kamala 2.0 does not believe in open borders. But the original version, who was Biden’s “Border Czar,” did nothing to stanch the flow of illegal immigrants and spoke openly about a “path to citizenship” for them all eventually and Medicare and other benefits for them now.

Pick the issue: if it’s contentious, you will find that Kamala has had a sudden metanoia in the last couple of weeks. She is like the wolf who, addressing a flock of sheep, assures them that as soon as he is elected, he will become a vegetarian.

They are trying the same thing with Tim Walz, but what is uphill work for Kamala Harris is Mt. Everest for Walz.  He really did order that tampons be put into boys’ bathrooms in Minnesota schools. He allowed eight babies to be murdered after botched abortions left them alive. He sat back and watched Minneapolis burn when the St. George Floyd riots erupted in 2020. Just a day or two ago, NBC reported that Walz now says he “misspoke” in 2018 when describing his military experience.  But he did not “misspeak.”  He lied.

Walz is one of the many Democrats who seem to think that George Orwell’s 1984 was a how-to manual, not a sober warning about the dangers of totalitarianism.  Remember the COVID insanity? Walz was one of the worst governors during that made-up emergency.  Not only did he mandate vaccines, but he also set up a “snitch line” and encouraged Minnesotans to report their neighbors should they dare to venture outside without a mask.  Nevertheless, the media has been playing a clip over and over of Walz saying he wants people to “mind their own business.” As if.

The Democrats’ old friend, what the Freudians call “projection,” is evident everywhere in this entertainment. It boils down to accusing your opponents of the very things you are doing or are.  So, the memo went out that J. D. was henceforth to be described as “weird,” when in fact he radiates normality, competence, and healthy self-confidence.  Walz?  Despite the theatrical producers’ best effort, the fact that the man is one sick puppy cannot be obscured.

The strategy of the Biden-Harris—er, make that the “Harris-Walz” campaign depends on people being dazzled by their theater of the absurd.  Both candidates claim now to believe things they have spent the last decades attacking.  But their supposed conversion is not the result of any heavenly illumination.  It’s not like Saul falling to the ground on the road to Damascus. Rather, it is an abracadabra sort of conversion, i.e., no conversion at all, merely subterfuge.  It’s an elaborate show we are being treated to, replete with fake polls showing Harris-Walz ahead in some swing states.

Already, the façade is cracking as more and more devastating videos come to light about both candidates. The ridicule machine of Trump and his allies is only getting cranked up. More, much more, will be coming to an internet search near you.

As I say, this show is scheduled to run at least until November 5, maybe longer, depending on how much election fraud the Democrats are allowed to indulge in. But there will be occasional intermissions during which the deciding question will be pressed upon all of us theatergoers. Is this campaign about mood and emotion—is it, I mean, essentially a female campaign?  Or is it a matter of competing policies, of things like peace, prosperity, individual liberty, and economic competitiveness?

I am betting that, when the Chardonnay is gone and paper masks no longer fit, every robust voter will decide that he wants to live in the real world of common sense, not the hot-house world of woke theatrics and socialist nostrums. In other words, I predict that Mencken’s diminishing wager about the American public will, at least in this one instance, turn out to be dead wrong.

  • Jordanian who tried to enter Quantico Marine base was on terror watchlist, incident report says

    From Washington Times:

Marine Corps security officers were told that one of the Jordanians who tried to enter Quantico earlier this year was on the terror watchlist, according to the Serious Incident Report filed after the incursion.

The report, which was obtained via open-records request by Judicial Watch, bears out the Jordanians’ assertion that they were making deliveries for Amazon. But their illegal immigrant status raises other questions about how they came to be in the delivery truck.

The report identified the driver as Mohammed Khair Hassan Dabous and said Hasan Yousef Hamdan was a passenger in the delivery truck that tried to make its way onto Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia.

Sentries arrested them after their vehicle tried to leave an inspection area. When they ran checks on the men, a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer confirmed to the sentries that Mr. Hamdan “was on a terror watchlist.”

ICE said Wednesday that Mr. Hamdan was investigated and has been deemed not to be a terror risk.

The May 3 incident made headlines and Republicans on Capitol Hill have demanded answers about the men.

Now the new Quantico incident and ICE information are filling in some of those questions.

Overnight Hezbollah Missile Salvo On Northern Israel

    Speculation: Iron Dome Failure?

    mobile-logo

Hezbollah has fired dozens of rockets from Lebanon into northern Israel, calling it retaliation for Israeli attacks last week. Israel’s military says its Iron Dome defence system intercepted some, but not all, of the projectiles.

In the overnight and early morning hours Hezbollah pounded northern Israel and the Western Galilee with at least 30 rockets. While Israel’s military says intercepted some of the rockets, it is clear from widely circulating videos (though unverified) that many of them got through Israel’s sophisticated anti-air systems.

A number of regional analysts are remarking on the utter failure of Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system during the salvo; however, Ynet says many rockets struck open fields and uninhabited areas, causing fires.

Lebanese Hezbollah said the target was an IDF military installation near Kibbutz Ga’aton. The Israeli side reported no casualties in the wake of the overnight assault. A regional source indicates that “One of Israel’s interceptors hit the Hydro Therapy Centre located in the Mount Hermon region, damaging a building.”

The Iran-backed Lebanese paramilitary group has been vowing revenge for the assassination strike by Israel of senior Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut on July 30. The next day, an Israeli operation in Tehran killed Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.

Israel says it is busy strengthening defenses ahead of the still anticipated Iranian response, which is expected to include stepped-up Hezbollah action.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant told a meeting of defense leader, “We are in the days of vigilance and readiness, the threats from Tehran and Beirut may materialize and it is important to explain to everyone that readiness, preparedness, and vigilance are not synonyms for fear and panic.”

As for the claims of the Iron Dome utterly failing in the latest attack, others pointed to the following video, which like the above remains unverified…

Israeli officials are meanwhile monitoring Lebanese media reports which say Hezbollah has entirely evacuated its Beirut headquarters in anticipation of a significant flareup.

Some Hezbollah-aligned Lebanese politicians have also issued new threats:

Nabih Berri, the speaker of the Parliament of Lebanon and a staunch Hezbollah ally, says of a tensely anticipated joint Iranian and Hezbollah attack on Israel that “revenge is a dish best served cold.”

He warns that the “response is inevitable” after the recent killings of top Hezbollah military commander Fuad Shukr in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.

Below: Iron Dome missiles have reportedly landed on Israeli residences over the last several days. Last week a 27-year old man was critically injured by a malfunctioning Iron Dome interceptor missile when it fell on a northern highway he was traversing.

The Pentagon has said it is speeding up its naval assets heading to regional waters, including the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group and the deployment of the USS Georgia guided missile submarine, in anticipation for a potential Iranian attack on Israel.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
