    Massive Cyberattack Cripples Central Bank Of Iran: Report

    (ZeroHedge Reports) – The opposition and Saudi-affiliated Iran International is reporting that the Central Bank of Iran has been hit with a large-scale cyber attack which is caused major disruption to the banking system across the Islamic Republic.

    The outlet says the impact of the attack if far-reaching, suggesting it could be one of the largest cyberattacks on Iran’s state infrastructure to date, coming amid soaring regional tensions with Israel.

    Earlier Wednesday, Iran’s Supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, warned the country about threats of irregular warfare, stating, “The exaggeration of our enemies’ capabilities is intended to spread fear among our people by the US, Britain, and the Zionists. The enemies’ hand is not as strong as it is publicized. We must rely on ourselves.”

    He continued, “The enemy’s goal is to spread psychological warfare to push us into political and economic retreat and achieve its objectives.”

    Could this reported major cyber attack be the work of Israeli intelligence? Likely many in Iran believe so.

    Ironically it comes on the heels of claims by US officials and in Western media that Iranian state hackers are actively working to influence and interfere in the upcoming US elections.

    However, there has been no proof of these allegations, but only references to poorly made spoof websites which seek to influence either conservative or liberal voters.

    As for these Wednesday reports of a major cyber attack targeting Iranian banking, a story picked up in Israeli media as well, Iranian officials have not given official confirmation and state media sources remain silent thus far.

    Last December, a major cyber attack took out a significant part of the country’s gas stations, as it targeted widely used payment software, and Tehran attributed the disruption to Israel and the US.

    Israel has long been known to target Iran’s nuclear program with cyber attacks, some of which have reportedly been successful in crippling the operations of key sites in the past.

    Two weeks have passed since Haniyeh’s killing and Israeli leaders are still bracing for some kind of potential big retaliation from Iran. If it is accurate that Iran’s central bank has been crippled in the attack, and if Israel is behind it, this could convince Tehran to finally pull the trigger on its long awaited retaliation.

  • Soros Spends $117 Million to Elect, Control Leftist County Prosecutors Throughout U.S.

    In a scheme to promote a radical leftwing overhaul of the U.S. justice system, billionaire George Soros has spent about $117 million in the last few years to elect then control dozens of liberal county prosecutors throughout the nation, a new report reveals. Once elected the prosecutors, typically known as district attorneys who represent the government in criminal cases, meet regularly with representatives from Soros-funded nonprofits that coordinate and manage the chief officials responsible for upholding and enforcing the law in their respective districts. The Soros machine orders prosecutors to practice leftist policies that are soft on crime, target police and political opponents. The district attorneys are also directed not to enforce certain laws such as those protecting children from chemical castration and genital mutilation, procedures justified by the left as “life-saving gender-affirming” for transgender individuals.

    The extraordinary details of the robust Soros effort to overhaul the nation’s justice system by embedding leftist prosecutors throughout the country were uncovered during a year-long investigation by the Media Research Center (MRS). Dedicated to documenting and combating the falsehoods and censorship of the news media, the Washington D.C.-based group examined thousands of pages of documents that show a “shocking level” of control by the Soros-funded nonprofits over many county prosecutors. “The Soros machine sets their policies and priorities, staffs their offices with hand-picked leftists, dictates media narratives, lobbies government officials and perverts the American justice system,” the MRC probe found. The investigation determined that the Soros enterprise dedicated at least $40 million to help elect 126 prosecutors and an additional $77,663,316 to the leftist nonprofits that issue their marching orders once they are in office.

    MRC used public records requests to obtain 7,785 pages of internal communications from dozens of Soros-backed prosecutors and examined official files as well as electronic mail, text messages, chats, and other communications. The documents expose how the Hungarian billionaire’s groups directed the liberal prosecutors to manipulate laws involving drugs, abortion, illegal immigration, election integrity, capital punishment and even childhood sex changes. One of the key groups directing the local prosecutors is Fair and Justice Prosecution (FJP), a nonprofit committed to promoting a justice system grounded in fairness, equity and compassion. “Great strides have been made in promoting justice reforms that recognize that prior ‘tough on crime’ and incarceration-driven practices have not always resulted in safer or healthier communities,” according to FJP. The group is a sponsored project of the Tides Center, another Soros-funded conglomerate dedicated to advancing social justice. “FJP held at least 51 private meetings and published 33 formal statements and pledges that contained signatures from prosecutors within its network between 2021 and 2022 alone,” the MRC report states.

    Examples include 508 communications—emails, virtual meetings, in-person conversations—between San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin’s office and FJP during an 18-month period, averaging at least one communication a day. Five county prosecutors in Texas worked so closely that they created a shared group chat to strategize on refusing to enforce statutes that ran afoul of their leftist political views. Combined the elected officials represent over seven million Texans and the documents reviewed by MRC show they strategized to undermine political opponents, including the state’s Republican attorney general. “At least 30 percent of the U.S. population currently lives under the boot of the Soros prosecutors who were pressured to sign pledges vowing to adhere to various Soros priorities,” the report says, adding that the “Soros machine” arranged dozens of joint statements and pledges signed by 123 of the 126 prosecutors vowing to adhere to the leftist billionaire’s priorities.

    Besides embedding like-minded county prosecutors nationwide, the records obtained by MRC show that Soros also spent at least $35 million to support anti-police groups and causes in one year alone after George Floyd’s death. His beloved FJP defended the violence and racial unrest triggered by the Black Lives Matter (BLM) and Antifa movements, accusing the American criminal justice system of being systemically racist. Soros’s Open Society Foundations (OSF) also dedicated $220 million for racial justice and black empowerment in the aftermath of Floyd’s death.

  • Fact Check: J.D. Vance wrote the foreword for Project 2025’s Kevin Roberts’ upcoming book

    In his maiden speech as the Democratic Party’s vice presidential candidate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz attacked his Republican opponent, Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio.

    He argued that Vance’s close ties to Project 2025 are clear.

    “J.D. Vance literally, literally wrote the foreword for the architect of the Project 2025 agenda,” Walz said Aug. 6 in Philadelphia, Vice President Kamala Harris standing behind him.

    Walz’s description is accurate.

    Project 2025, led by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, is a 900-page manual published in 2023 that includes detailed policies that the next Republican presidential administration could apply.

    The Trump-Vance campaign has sought to distance itself from Project 2025, which included a foreword from Heritage Foundation President Kevin D. Roberts titled “A Promise to America.”

    Roberts’ forthcoming book, “Dawn’s Early Light: Taking Back Washington to Save America,” includes a foreword by Vance, HarperCollins Publishers’ website and other marketing materials show. 

    In  leading the Heritage Foundation, Roberts has promoted Project 2025 and has been called on its leaders and architects by numerous news outlets, including The Associated Press, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Axios and PolitiFact.

    In his opening to Project 2025’s “Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise,” Roberts said that “The Heritage Foundation is facilitating this work,” and called it “an agenda prepared by and for conservatives who will be ready on Day One of the next Administration to save our country from the brink of disaster.”

    When the Heritage Foundation confirmed that Project 2025 Director Paul Dans had stepped down, Roberts took over as the project’s head. Dans served in Trump’s administration in the Office of Personnel Management.

    Before former President Donald Trump in July selected Vance as his 2024 running mate, Vance touted his involvement in “Dawn’s Early Light.”

    “I was thrilled to write the foreword for this incredible book, which contains a bold new vision for the future of conservatism in America,” Vance wrote in a June 19 X post.

    Broadside Books, a HarperCollins imprint that specializes in conservative literature, is publishing the book. At 304 pages, it “outlines a peaceful ‘Second American Revolution’ for voters looking to shift the power back into the hands of the people,” the publisher’s description says. 

    “Dawn’s Early Light” was originally scheduled to be released in September, but has been postponed to the post-Election Day date of Nov. 12. Vance’s name is on the book’s cover, according to the publisher’s digital preview. The book’s marketing strategy has changed in recent weeks, however, following an assassination attempt against Trump, heightened pushback against Project 2025 and Vance’s selection for the Republican ticket.

    The New York Times reported July 31 that Broadside Books removed a downloadable advanced copy of the book that had been made available to reviewers and booksellers, removed from the front cover art that showed an image of a burned out match and swapped out its original subtitle, “Burning Down Washington to Save America,” for “Taking Back Washington to Save America.”

    In an Aug. 11 interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, Vance tempered his connection to Project 2025 and called Roberts a friend — a word Roberts has also used to describe Vance.

    “Project 2025 is not affiliated with the Trump campaign,” Vance said. “Kevin Roberts is a friend of mine, but I wouldn’t say that he speaks for the president in the same way I wouldn’t say that he speaks for me.”

    The Associated Press on July 30 shared an excerpt of an advance copy of Vance’s foreword that read, “Never before has a figure with Roberts’s depth and stature within the American Right tried to articulate a genuinely new future for conservatism. The Heritage Foundation isn’t some random outpost on Capitol Hill; it is and has been the most influential engine of ideas for Republicans from Ronald Reagan to Donald Trump.”

    The New Republic reported July 30 that it also obtained a copy of the foreword, which it reprinted on its website. There is no mention of Project 2025 in the excerpt attributed to Vance. It contains the passage shared by the AP and goes on to liken “modern liberalism” to “a well-meaning gardener” who treats a garden with chemicals, killing both weeds and “many of the good things.” A modern conservative movement, the excerpt said, needs to recultivate the garden: 

    “The old conservative movement argued if you just got government out of the way, natural forces would resolve problems—we are no longer in this situation and must take a different approach. As Kevin Roberts writes, ‘It’s fine to take a laissez-faire approach when you are in the safety of the sunshine. But when the twilight descends and you hear the wolves, you’ve got to circle the wagons and load the muskets.’” 

    A Harris-Walz campaign spokesperson pointed us to evidence including Vance’s July 19 X post, as well as book readings and speeches Vance has participated in at the Heritage Foundation.

    When we asked Vance’s team about Walz’s claim, the campaign responded with an Aug. 9 statement from spokesperson William Martin reiterating that Vance “has previously said that he has no involvement with (Project 2025) and has plenty of disagreements with what they’re calling for.”

    Walz said Vance “literally wrote the foreword for the architect of the Project 2025 agenda.”

    Vance wrote the forward for a book authored by Roberts, the Heritage Foundation’s president and a Project 2025 leader.

    President Trump and Elon Musk held a long ‘conversation’ on ‘X’ or Twitter.

    It was well attended, with millions listening. And as they tried to speak, it was as if there was this strange, faint, screeching noise coming from the attic, and a lunatic there had stirred.

    I mean, of course, this:

    It’s just a conversation between two accomplished men. No one has to listen to it. But she doesn’t want us listening to it. She seems … scared of something.

    A good simple summary of what she was scared of is here:

    But a certain eurochicken eurotrash didn’t want anyone listening to it either, and this self-identified “Kommissar” responded in characteristic officious bureaucratic manner:

    Musk returned fire with this:

    Meanwhile, this denizen of the First Amendment’s ‘democracy-dies-in-darkness’ wing crawled out of the woodwork, effectively shouting ‘stop them,’ but going to mommy government to try to do it:

    Did I just read “working on it”? It was probably more than this shill then who is out to violate the First Amendment.

    Wonder who. Maybe them?

    The Daily Beast argues that it was too many people trying to sign on which unintentionally casts some insight as to why the left didn’t want anyone to hear this.

    But Musk says it was hackers and yes, the matter was fixed. I was sorry to see potential listeners like hedge fund manager Bill Ackman and Fox News’s Bill Melugin reporting that they couldn’t sign on. I got on fine through the Firefox browser.

    But if it was hackers, I want to know who these hackers were and why they wanted this conversation shut down. Somebody wanted this conversation to go unheard, same as the characters at the Washington Post and on the White House podium. The White House spokeswoman says they were “working on it.”

    Really?

    Then there were these media sour grapes who, despite their objections, couldn’t resist listening in on this conversation and spewing their venom afterward, as the deed was done:

    Don’t like it? Don’t listen. But that’s too much to ask of them. I’m glad it was three hours long.

    And speaking of three hours long, this is pretty amazing traffic for a three-hour listen:

    TikTok, which is a popular app for sharing AI-generated content, is developing a tool to allow content creators and users to know if their content was created with generative AI. The tool could be similar in nature to a disclosure of sponsorship and would help viewers understand the nature of the content that they are watching. It’s not clear if TikTok requires mandatory disclaimers or how it will enforce them for AI-created contents.

    TikTok, as well as other social media applications, are being pressed to fight the growing prevalence of AI-generated material on their platforms. Recent “Fake Drake”, where an AI-generated Drake video was created singing a song he didn’t actually sing, highlighted the need for these tools. Such tools could provide more transparency to viewers, as casual listeners might not have been able to tell the difference between artificial and real tunes.

    Midjourney, Podcastle and other tools that allow AI-generated sound and image creation are new frontiers for big tech, particularly when it comes down to legality. The idea that AI actors could be modeled after real human talent is a controversial one, and the future entertainment industry remains uncertain.

    Japan is going through a “once in a generation” political crisis, analysts say, as the government fights to clean up its image in the face of a corruption scandal.

    His approval ratings are down to 17% – the worst in over a decade.

    Public anger and outrage has boiled over on social media.

    Some hope this could be a tipping point for reforms in governance. But others note it’s the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) in the spotlight – the party that has ruled Japan almost continuously since 1955.

    Its time in power has long been marked by similar scandals- one reason why analysts say voters in the leading Asian democracy are feeling disillusioned and cynical.

    Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida says he will step down in September

    Kishida will not seek re-election as the leader of the ruling LDP in party elections next month.

    Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has announced he will not seek re-election as the leader of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) in next month’s party polls, in a decision that means the country will also have a new prime minister.

    Speaking at a news conference in Tokyo on Wednesday, Kishida said it was time for a new face at the helm of the LDP and that he would fully support their leadership.

    “In this election, it is necessary to show the people that the LDP is changing and the party is a new LDP,” Kishida told reporters.

    “For this, transparent and open elections and free and vigorous debate are important. The most obvious first step to show that the LDP will change is for me to step aside. I will not be running in the forthcoming presidential election.”

    Kishida had informed senior administration officials of his intention not to run, Japanese media including national broadcaster NHK reported earlier.

    Kishida was elected party president in September 2021 for a three-year term and won a general election shortly afterwards.

    But his approval ratings have fallen sharply amid a major corruption scandal within the LDP surrounding unreported political funds raised through tickets sold for party events. More than 80 LDP lawmakers, mostly belonging to a major party faction previously led by assassinated former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, have been caught up in the scandal and 10 people – lawmakers and their aides – were indicted in January.

    “He’s been a dead man walking for quite some time,” Michael Cucek, an expert in Japanese politics at Tokyo’s Temple University, told the Reuters news agency. “Public discontent with Kishida was connected with the LDP’s entanglements with the former Unification Church, which became apparent after Abe’s assassination, as well as slush fund scandals, and the slide in the yen that increased inflation pressures.”

    Whoever wins the race for party leader will face a raft of challenges as they take on the job of prime minister, which goes to the leader of the party with the most seats in parliament.

    Kenta Izumi, the leader of the Constitutional Democratic Party, the country’s main opposition party, noted that the issues which had caused trouble for Kishida has not gone away.

    “These problems are still unsolved,” he wrote on social media platform X.

    Kishida, a former foreign minister with a reputation as a consensus builder, took on the top job from Yoshihide Suga who was criticised for his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Under Kishida, Japan pledged to double its defence spending to the NATO standard of two percent of GDP by 2027.

    This marked a turn from decades of strict pacifism, encouraged by the United States amid concern about China’s increasingly assertive stance in the Asia Pacific.

  • Man allegedly crawled through his mother’s doggy door and stabbed her to death

    BRANDON, Fla. (TCN) — A 37-year-old man is in custody after he allegedly broke into his mother’s home to steal an item but then fatally stabbed her amid a dispute.

    According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, on Aug. 12 at around 4:40 a.m., deputies received a report of a 64-year-old woman suffering from a stab wound. Authorities responded and found the victim, Julie Aylor, deceased at the scene.

    In a news conference, Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said authorities allege the victim’s son, John Aylor, broke into his mother’s house by crawling through a doggy door, which he had done before.

    Aylor allegedly planned to steal something when he went into his mother’s bedroom armed with a knife. An argument between Aylor and his mother ensued before Aylor allegedly stabbed her at least once in the chest.

    According to Chronister, Aylor’s 10-year-old daughter was in the house, and his mother cared for her and a 16-year-old family member in the home. The two minors were awakened by the victim’s screams. The teen reportedly called 911 for help, but the victim had already died from her injuries by the time first responders arrived.

    Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Aylor on charges of first-degree felony murder while engaged in a burglary and armed burglary of a dwelling with assault/battery. The search for Aylor ended on Aug. 13 when a concerned citizen reported the suspect’s possible location, and officials took him into custody without incident.

    According to the sheriff, Aylor has an extensive criminal history, including arrests dating back to 2003. He has previously been charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle, felony petit theft, and possession of a controlled substance.

    In a statement, Chronister said, “Today, we have taken a significant step towards justice with the arrest of the individual responsible for the tragic and violent stabbing that took the life of an innocent woman.”

    The sheriff also noted that this was the 14th family-related slaying of the year.
