  • Chant “Who The F**k Is Allah” & Get 18 Month Prison Sentence | The Liberty Beacon

61-Year-Old Brit Gets 18 Month Prison Sentence For Chanting “Who The F**k Is Allah”

Told police officers outside Downing Street “you’re not English anymore.”

A 61-year-old man in the UK was jailed for 18 months for chanting “who the fuck is Allah” and telling police officers “you’re not English anymore” during a protest outside Downing Street.

    Yes really.

The sentence handed out to David Spring is the latest shocking example of how low the bar has now been set in terms of free speech in response to rioting that occurred after the murder of three girls in Southport last month.

Spring attended a demonstration of around 700 people in London on July 31 which turned disorderly.

Police bodycam footage that was played in court showed Spring calling police officers “cunts,” making “hostile gestures” and joining in with chants of “who the fuck is Allah” and “you’re not English anymore.”

While Spring’s behavior could be described as offensive and unruly, the fact that he will spent the next year and a half behind bars for saying mean words exemplifies how the UK has slipped into extreme authoritarianism in the space of just two weeks.

    ***

    Image

When he was arrested, Spring told police, “I didn’t go up to London to riot. I went to complain about people put up in hotels,” referring to illegal immigrants staying in hotels at taxpayer expense.

Defending lawyer Piers Kiss-Wilson said, “The defendant asked me to put forward his apologies to the court and he says he is embarrassed by his behaviour and he is ashamed by it.”

“He also wants to apologise to his family and friends and his wife who don’t deserve this.”

The man’s wife, who suffers from ill health, will now be deprived of her primary carer thanks to Spring’s imprisonment.

The question once again arises as to why these individuals are continuing to plead guilty despite the fact that it is not preventing them from being handed jail time.

Despite the fact that the legislation surrounding hate speech and incitement is more draconian in the UK than in numerous other major western countries, one would think a good free speech lawyer would be able to defend these people more adeptly.

As we highlighted yesterday, Spring’s sentence is only outdone in its absurdity by cases where online speech of people who never even attended riots is leading to prison sentences.

Another man was imprisoned for 2 months merely for posting the words “coming to a town near you” alongside images of Muslim men on Facebook.

  • Over 2,500 pounds of meth found packed with celery headed to Atlanta farmers market

ATLANTA (TCN) — Federal officials made one of the largest drug busts in their history last week after they seized over 2,500 pounds — more than 1 ton — of crystal meth shipped from Mexico.

According to the Drug Enforcement Administration, the DEA Atlanta Division made the stop Aug. 8 during an operation at the Atlanta State Farmers Market in Clayton County. The 2,585 pounds of meth were “concealed among boxes of celery in the cargo area of the truck.”

The value of the drugs totaled $3.2 million. It was the biggest drug seizure in history for the Atlanta Division.

Law enforcement officers arrested the truck’s driver, Jesus Martinez Martinez. The drugs had been transported across the U.S.-Mexico border.

Special Agent in Charge of the DEA Atlanta Division Robert Murphy said, “This is a significant and unbelievable amount of drugs to be shipped at one time and to a destination this far from the border. It also shows the confidence of the cartel behind this.”

WAGA-TV reports Murphy confirmed officials disposed of the celery.

He said, “That didn’t make it to the store.”

Georgia Department of Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper explained that the farmers market is “the produce terminal for the United States and if drugs are moving through there, there is a possibility of contamination, and we know that, so it’s important we keep our consumers safe.”

  • Fact Check: Trump didn’t suddenly freeze; he was reacting to a medical emergency in the audience at his rally

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., twice appeared to freeze suddenly in 2023, incidents that raised questions about his health and fitness to lead his party.

A recent Threads post compares McConnell with former President Donald Trump, the 2024 Republican presidential nominee, and wrongly claims a video shows Trump similarly freezing.

“Looks like Don Old has tied Mitch the Glitch’s record for locking up on camera … ” the Aug. 10 post said.

“BREAKING: Trump freezes for 21 seconds during speech at his rally and Fox News has to cut away!” text over the video in the post says.

It was flagged as part of Meta’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. (Read more about our partnership with Meta, which owns Facebook, Instagram and Threads.)

The video is authentic, from Trump’s Aug. 9 campaign rally in Bozeman, Montana, but it’s being mischaracterized on social media.

C-SPAN footage of the rally shows Trump was criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, when he focused on something in the audience, nodded and then, at the 16:12 minute mark, where our video clip starts, said, “A doctor, please? Doctor in the house? Thank you, thank you very much, thank you. Take your time. Take your time, Doc. Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you.”

More than a minute after asking whether a doctor was in the house, Trump was still saying thank you and encouraging the doctor to address the audience member. Around the 18-minute mark, Trump appeared as he does in the Threads video, but he didn’t freeze — he was still waiting on whatever’s happening in the audience.

Forbes later reported that Trump was seeking a doctor “to help with someone experiencing a medical emergency.”

We rate claims this video shows Trump freezing False.

  • Lionel Richie Gets Seat at British King’s Coronation – The US Times

Buckingham Palace has confirmed that American singer Lionel Richie will be invited to the coronation ceremony of King Charles III on May 6 at Westminster Abbey. Richie has been the global ambassador of Charles’ charitable Prince’s Trust, a charity founded by Charles, since 2019. He is also confirmed to be one of the headliners at a concert that will take place in the grounds surrounding Windsor Castle on the day following the coronation. The coronation guest list has been tightly guarded, but an excerpt released on Monday by officials revealed that other celebrities have been invited. These include Kelly Jones, the lead singer of Stereophonics and Jay Blades who is the presenter of “The Repair Shop”, a hit BBC series.

Charles is reported to have chosen “meritocratic, not aristocratic,” criteria for the coronation, reflecting modern British life. According to reports, the guest list includes representatives from charitable organizations that are supported by King Charles and Queen Camilla as well as those who have received the British Empire Medal for their good works.

Westminster Abbey will host the coronation ceremony of King Charles III on May 6. In 1953, thousands of people attended the coronation of Charles’s mom, Queen Elizabeth II. Charles’ coronation is being scaled back due to the COVID-19 epidemic. The number of attendees will be limited to 2,000. A concert featuring Lionel Richie and other artists will follow the coronation in the grounds at Windsor Castle.

  • NYT Discloses Lloyd Austin ‘Ordered’ Major Deployment To Conflict Zone | The Liberty Beacon

NYT Discloses Lloyd Austin ‘Ordered’ Major Deployment To Conflict Zone

    Who Is Running America?

A Monday NY Times report revealed of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s recent phone call with Israeli counterpart, Yoav Gallant, the following: In an unusual disclosure, it said Mr. Austin had ordered a submarine to the Middle East.” This line alone begs the question, where is the elected civilian authority of the executive branch, the Commander-in-Chief, right now? And where is Congressional authority and oversight to wage war and put troops in harm’s way? NY Times described further that in the call Austin “reiterated the United States’ commitment to take every possible step to defend Israel.”

Journalist Glenn Greenwald has some similar questions which every American should be asking right now at this dangerous moment the United States is deeply involved in no less than two major wars simultaneously (by heavily funding and arming one side of each)…

    Tyler Durden says…

Or to put it another way: who is currently in charge over at the White House? Have we now reached such a post-Constitutional arrangement that that the major decisions of war and peace are being made by a military-intelligence complex beholden to no one? (…akin to what’s more commonly the case in Third World Banana Republics).

Comedian and Libertarian commentator Dave Smith just went on Tucker Carlson’s show and voiced a similar theme. Here is what he said according to the transcript:

It’s the greatest scandal in American history… we don’t have a president. The President of the United States, everyone has essentially admitted, is too senile to run for president.

Yet he’s going to be president until January?

We are in a proxy war with the biggest nuclear power in the history of the world, and we have another proxy war-ish type thing devolving into a wider regional war in Israel, and we don’t have a president.”

Not long following this interview, President Biden briefly emerged and fielded a few impromptu questions from the press, and let’s just say it did not instill confidence:

Likely, the assumption of a huge portion of the American public is that Vice President Kamala Harris is basically running things in coordination with a bunch of twenty- and thirty-something unelected White House staffers.

But again, if the NY Times is accurate on Lloyd Austin being the one now ‘ordering’ major military deployments (and who knows with what oversight), America might more currently resemble some military-ruled central Asian or African nation at this point.

Meanwhile, Babylon Bee once again nails it…

  • Man allegedly fatally shot neighbor after victim’s daughter touched mulch in his yard

CANTON, Mich. (TCN) — A 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shooting and killing his neighbor after the victim’s daughter allegedly touched mulch on the suspect’s lawn.

According to the Canton Police Department, on Aug. 10 at approximately 11:48 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Cornell Street regarding shots fired following a “brief confrontation by the suspect toward the victim.” Officers found the victim in the street with a gunshot wound and moved him to safety for immediate medical assistance. Paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Canton Police said the suspect, Devereaux Christopher Johnson, barricaded himself inside his house. Johnson eventually surrendered to police and was arrested on charges of premeditated first-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a felon, and two counts of felony firearm.

The Michigan Republican Party identified the victim as Nathan Morris and released a statement regarding his killing. Morris reportedly worked as an engineer for Ford Motors, ran for the local school board, and stayed involved in local Republican politics. The statement says Morris and his family were taking a walk on Saturday when “his daughter touched the mulch of one of the neighbors.”

Johnson allegedly retrieved a gun and threatened Morris and his family. Morris reportedly urged his family to go home “and said that he would try and defuse the situation.”

The Michigan GOP described Morris as “one of those few guys who are near perfect. He would do no harm and think no harm.”

WJBK-TV reports Johnson has had past run-ins with the police and trouble with his neighbors. Prosecutors reportedly motioned for a competency hearing.

Canton Police said Johnson is being held without bond.

If convicted, Johnson could face up to life in prison without parole.

  • Judicial Watch: New Documents Released on Trump Assassination Attempt – Include Photos of Shooter and Details of Local Law Enforcement Support

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that it received four pages of documents from the district attorney’s office in Butler County, PA, detailing the extensive preparation of local police for the rally at which former President Trump was shot.

The preparation included sniper teams, counter assault teams and a quick response force.

On August 9, in response to a separate open records request, Judicial Watch obtained bodycam footage of the July 13 assassination events from the Butler Township Police Department.

Judicial Watch received today’s records in response to a July 26, 2024, Pennsylvania Right To Know Request for:

All records and documents related to President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign rally that was held in Butler, PA, on July 13, 2024, including but not limited to:

    1) site security plans, risk or threat assessments, designation of security perimeters, plans for responding to suspicious activity or an active threat or attack, memoranda of understanding, or other documents establishing roles and responsibilities of federal agencies and state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) law enforcement partner agencies, and associated chains of command.

    2) All audio/video/photographic recordings captured on body-worn cameras or other electronic  devices in your possession.

Please provide records from July 1, 2024, to present.

Included with the documents were two photographs of Matthew Crooks, the shooter, who was killed by law enforcement snipers.

On July 9th, at 10:17 p.m., Sgt. Edward Lenz, Adams Township Police Department, Mars, PA, emails Richard Goldinger, with a “cc” To William Mayhugh,, with the subject: “Butler ESU Deployment” Request/ Presidential Rally 7 /13/24”. The email states:

    Good evening Rich!

I just want to ensure you have the information and details regarding the request for Butler ESU to assist this Saturday at the presidential candidate rally:

Butler Twp PD and the US Secret Service have requested our assistance at the rally. I have had several discussions with the USSS, and as of today they are requesting assistance from us with providing sniper/ overwatch support, counterassault teams, and a quick reaction force. Our current plan is to provide 2 sniper elements, 2 mobile counterassault teams, and a quick reaction force.

      •  The sniper elements would provide overwatch for the rally and would work in conjunction with the secret service counter-sniper unit.
      • The counterassault teams would be dedicated teams that would respond to and address an attack directed at the presidential candidate inside of the venue, whether it be a coordinated attack with multiple assailants, or a single attacker.
      •  The quick response force would be dedicated to respond to and address any high-risk incidents occurring outside of the venue. They would not respond to civil disturbances – this would be handled by uniformed members of PSP. The QRF would assist PSP at the request of incident commander, and upon the approval of the ESU commander. This will be manpower intensive, and Beaver County ESU and Washington County SWAT have agreed to supplement with manpower – Beaver ESU is going to send their armor with 6-8 operators, and Washington County SWAT is going to send a sniper element along with 3-4 operators. The request for assistance will be officially made through Region 13.

Our current plan is to rally at 0900 for a briefing, and to be operational by 1100. As long as the timeline doesn’t shift, we should be releasing the assisting agencies by 1830, but I expect Butler ESU to remain operational until a majority of the farm snow grounds has been cleared.

We have a law enforcement walkthrough at the farm show Thursday at 1000 , and Bill is coming to that as well I believe.

As always, if you have any questions let me know, and I will follow up with more information should anything in our plan change!

        Stay safe!

        Ed

On July 9th, 2014, at 1:18 p.m., Lenz sends an email to Steven Bicehouse, with a “cc” to Kevin Mikulan, with the subject: “Region 13 Tactical Support Request”. The email states:

    Good evening Sir!

Butler ESU has been requested to assist Butler Township Police and the US Secret Service at the presidential rally this Saturday, July 13 2024. Throughout my discussions with the USSS, they have requested we provide sniper teams and counterassault teams, as well as an additional element available outside of the venue. This will be manpower intensive, and I spoke with Pat Young from Beaver County ESU and Guy Kuzak from Washington County SWAT to ask for some assistance. Both offered to send a squad of guys with equipment to assist but asked that an official request be submitted for Region 13 assets.

I have never submitted a request for a pre-scheduled detail, and I’m not exactly sure what information you would need:

    Date: 7/13/2024
Tactical Team Deployment Type: Dignitary Protection w/ counterassault and sniper deployments Event Details: Presidential Candidate Rally
Event Location : Butler Farm Show Grounds
Staging Location: 121 Sparks Ave, Butler PA 16001, Butler Township FD
    Arrival Time: 0900
Expected End Time: 1830 (Region assets will be released as soon as it is operationally feasible, Butler ESU assets will expect to remain later)

Beaver County: Butler County ESU is requesting assistance from Beaver County ESU, specifically their armor asset, manpower, and tactical equipment as determined by operational needs.

Washington County: Butler County ESU is requesting assistance from Washington County SWAT, specifically with manpower and tactical equipment as determined by operational needs.

If you do need further information just let me know, and I will get whatever you need! Thank you!

“Local Pennsylvania law enforcement has been more transparent about the Trump assassination attempt than the Biden-Harris administration, which is in full cover-up mode,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said.

On August 12 Judicial Watch reported that the FBI withheld information on a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for information about its coordination with the U.S. Secret Service regarding the July 13 Butler, PA, rally.

On July 31, Judicial Watch reported that the United States Secret Service completely denied multiple Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests for documents about the assassination attempt on former President Trump.

Judicial Watch has more than 25 FOIA and open records currently pending on the shooting of Trump with the Biden administration and local and state officials and agencies in Pennsylvania.

  • Fact Check: In Spanish ad, Debbie Mucarsel-Powell misleads on Rick Scott’s position on abortion exceptions

Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Debbie Mucarsel-Powell recently launched a Spanish-language radio ad across Florida that accused incumbent Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., of supporting limits on abortion without exceptions.

The ad said Scott “wants to take away women’s reproductive rights with no exceptions.” (In Spanish, the ad says, Rick Scott “quiere quitarles los derechos reproductivos a las mujeres sin excepciones.”)

Laws that govern abortion come with different exceptions, which vary by state. Some of the strictest state laws, such as in Texas and Louisiana, ban abortion at any point in pregnancy, and provide few exceptions. Other states provide more exceptions and later cutoffs.

Does Scott, a former two-term Florida governor, support restrictions “with no exceptions?” No.

Scott has defined himself as “pro-life” and supports limits on abortion, but with exceptions. He has said that if he were still Florida’s governor he would have signed the state’s current six-week abortion ban, which includes some exceptions.

Scott has also said he prefers abortion limits at 15 weeks of pregnancy, with exceptions for rape, incest and the life of the pregnant woman, because he believes that’s what most Americans support.

Seven in 10 Americans think abortion should be legal in all or most cases, a July AP-NORC poll found. About one quarter of the respondents who said women should be able to get abortions for any reason also said states shouldn’t allow abortion after 15 weeks, The Associated Press reported.

Jonathan Turcotte, a spokesperson for Scott’s reelection campaign, told PolitiFact that “Scott opposes a national abortion ban and supports the consensus at 15-weeks with exceptions for rape, incest, and life of the mother.”

    Scott’s abortion stance

Scott served as Florida’s governor from 2011 to 2019 and signed many anti-abortion policies into law, including an ultrasound-viewing requirement before women can undergo abortions.

Nothing he signed rivaled the six-week abortion ban Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., signed into law.

On April 13, 2023, Scott said on X that he would sign Florida’s six-week abortion ban if he were still governor.

He reiterated his position a year later in an interview with Spectrum Bay News 9. “If I was the sitting governor and the six-week abortion ban came in front of me, I would sign it. I’d always said I would sign it,” Scott said April 16.

Florida’s six-week ban includes exceptions in cases of rape, incest and human trafficking through 15 weeks of pregnancy, and if the pregnant woman’s health or life is “at serious risk of substantial and irreversible physical impairment.”

Scott has also repeated that, while he would have signed the law, he prefers a 15-week abortion limit, with exceptions for rape, incest and the life of the pregnant woman.

“So if I was writing a bill, I’d think that 15 weeks with the limitations (for rape, incest and to protect the life of the pregnant woman) is where the state’s at. I think it’s important we do what there’s consensus” for, Scott told The Hill in an April interview.

Mucarsel-Powell’s campaign pointed to Scott’s support of Florida’s six-week law, saying it didn’t have mental health exceptions or exceptions for rape, incest and human trafficking. Florida had to clarify the exceptions in its law shortly after it took effect May 1, but it does have rape, incest and human trafficking exceptions, up to 15 weeks, and exceptions for the pregnant woman’s health.

PolitiFact reviewed news archives from Scott’s tenure as Florida governor and found no evidence he has ever supported zero exceptions for abortions.

Reproductive health experts say abortion exceptions are vague or require complicated steps that often don’t work in practice. Doctors say they wrestle with legal language that makes it difficult to determine whether a patient’s case qualifies.

For example, Alabama outlaws abortion except when there are serious health risks to the pregnant woman. Its health exception includes mental health, but requires a psychiatrist to diagnose the pregnant woman with a “serious mental illness” and document that it’s likely the woman will engage in behavior that could result in her death or the fetus’s death, KFF reported. The law doesn’t define “serious mental illness” and doesn’t allow physicians to determine what illnesses qualify for the exception.

In complicated cases, physicians find themselves weighing patients’ medical conditions against concerns about their legal liability. The penalties for mistakes can be severe: In some states, violating abortion laws is considered a felony, and can be punishable by large fines and from a  decade to life in prison.

    Our ruling

Mucarsel-Powell said Scott does not support abortion exceptions.

    This is inaccurate.

Scott supports some exceptions. He has said that, if he were Florida’s governor, he would have signed the state’s current six-week abortion ban, which includes exceptions for rape and incest through 15 weeks of pregnancy and the pregnant woman’s health and life.

Scott says he prefers abortion limits at 15 weeks of pregnancy with those three exceptions, because he believes that’s what most Americans support.

We found no examples of Scott saying exceptions should not be allowed.

    We rate this claim False.

RELATED: All abortion bans include exceptions for a mother’s life. But are they working?
