  • Aerosmith Announces 40 Date Farewell Tour – The US Times

    Aerosmith announced a farewell 40-date tour that will begin on September 2, 2023 Philadelphia, PA and conclude on January 26, 2024 in Montreal, QC. Tickets go on sale Friday. The band will be performing with Black Crowes at all dates. The band’s announcement is not sentimental, as it reads, “It’s just peace out, and not goodbye.” The band’s statement reads, “It’s not goodbye, it’s peace out!” A homecoming concert will be held in Boston, New Year’s Eve.

    Joey Kramer will not be on the tour as he is focusing his attention on his health and family. In the announcement about Kramer’s departure, it is stated that “Joey’s unmistakable presence behind his drum kit will be missed.” The announcement refers only to the band retiring from touring. However, the group has been inactive for over a decade as a recording unit. The band’s last studio album, “Music From Another Dimension!” was released in 2012. In 2012, the band released “1971: Here’s Where The Road Begins,” a collection from their very first demos.

    Aerosmith is a band that has been around since the 1960s. Their final tour follows their Las Vegas residency “Deuces Are Wild” which ended this fall due to Steven Tyler’s illness. The band is still relatively intact, with the exception of Kramer. Tyler, Brad Whitford and Tom Hamilton are the members in the current lineup. Whitford expressed doubts about the band ever performing together again due to health problems and pandemic related rescheduling. However, Aerosmith returned in 2022 for further Vegas residency concerts and the Fenway Park Anniversary Celebration.

    A couple years ago I prophesied. Oh yes! Oh yes! I do that now and then, more when I was a drunk, but still do when the spirit moves me. I was speaking with the venerable Roger from The Liberty Beacon who publish me and discussing the recent invasion of Ukraine by Russia when the balata came upon me and I said, “Them Ukrainians gone stomp the puppy crap out of Russia.” Now Roger ain’t no street kid. He really is versed in all things political, historical and can wrench a decent radio show out of Karrie the Puck which is along the order of parting the Red Sea on the Sabbath so I pay close attention to him when he speaks. This time, however, he was contrary to a message from God, or at least an extremely good guess and he spoke. And his voice got holy, and powerful and resounded-duh. And he said, “You don’t know what the hell you’re talking about!”

    He then went ahead to explain to me about Russia’s military capabilities and how they would systematically stomp a mud hole in Ukraine and walk it dry. However, I kept my position. There were many reasons for this. Russia has enjoyed a fairly good run of publicity for a considerable amount of time. From the myth that they single handedly won World War 2 to the claim that they invented Viagra they have dazzled the world with one Yellow Submarine after another. Oh, they wrote that for the Beatles by the way. When they fell to pieces back when Vladimir Putin emerged and insinuated that he was the second coming of RASputin and with the help of Boney M Russia was back on the map. Oh, they claim they wrote that song, too. Putin embarked on trying to stitch the Russian Empire back together again. He started with Crimea. I think that might be the only war Russia has ever actually won since Catherine the Great was in a training bra. But they won it. That made them the Winner!

    

    But Ukraine was a tasty morsel. Sitting down there with Hunter Biden heading up the labs and tap-dancing comedians running for President, Ukraine needed a little socialization to tighten up the border. So Russia jumped up and jumped on the biggest bunch of methheads on the planet. Now I’m from Killeen Texas. The meth capital of the DisUnited States. I know what a bunch of methheads can do when they run out of meth. There’s even a law in Killeen that if a methhead comes into a KFC saying they’re hungry they get a free thigh and a Coke. Killeen even tried to legalize marijuana within the city limits and the Attorney General of Texas lost a lawsuit to them. I crappith thee not! So I know methheads!

    Now Roger’s position was that Russia could displace Ukraine in short order (without a lot of help from the west, which they got). I thought au Contrairé! Trying to take over Hunter Biden’s side hustle is far different than invading someplace where everyone is hanging out on a beach on the Black Sea. I don’t know. Maybe Putin wanted the beach for his granddaughters.

    Well, time and tears went by. Russia took Kiev, Ukraine took it back. Russia sent missiles in, Ukraine sent missiles to the freaking Kremlin. And all the time the world expected Russia to finish it. And they tried. And tried and tried and tried. Putin reminded the Russian people that as a little boy he once killed a rat with a hammer and Zelenskyy reminded the Ukrainians that he won Ukraine has Talent. You can’t make this up people. Russia tried to flex its muscles by demonstrating a bomb that fell over on the launch pad, chasing the launch crew down a valley. So Zelenskyy produced a plan. Hell! Throw caution to the wind and invade Russia. I’m not kidding. He actually did that. Now this is they guy who reduces Russian tanks to scrap and sells them to the Mexicans. Like a . . . methhead! Told you I was from Killeen. I have found my brass water faucet gone because some hophead ran out of dope. Ra Ra Raputine! Suck on THAT Vladimir!

    At first knowledge commentators said the invasion was a publicity ploy and Russia would respond with Czar Booma and destroy the world. But, if you will notice we’re all still here and Ukraine keeps invading invading and invading. Putin told his ministers that everything is under control, they’re only about a hundred miles inside of Russia. According to the Navy’s definition of rape, “Any penetration, no matter how slight, constitutes the act,” and I think we can all agree that Zelenskyy has a bit more than the head in. A meeting of Putin’s cabinet was up on YouTube yesterday and while his advisors were examining this problem, Putin looked like a child molester that just got turned out on the prison yard in Huntsville Texas! If we measure Ukrainian advances and project natural projection we are about ten days before we see the Ukraine colors flying above the Kremlin.

    So, where are we. When Hitler found himself in this position, he shot himself in the mouth. Putin is still running his. Biden is playing Jacks, Harris is rolling in phoney polls like a dog in a dead armadillo and Trump is galloping to the White House on a white horse. And I stand by my prophecy. I close with the words of another prophet, Paul McCartney, “Them Urkraine girls really turn me on, they leave the West behind!” Verily Verily I say unto thee. . .

  • Texas dad allegedly poured gas in infant daughter's mouth because he wanted her to die

    PARIS, Texas (TCN) — A 24-year-old man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly pouring gasoline in his 4-month-old daughter’s mouth because he wanted her to die.

    According to the Austin America-Statesman, on Saturday, Aug. 10, at around noon, local emergency medical services contacted the Paris Police Department for assistance at a home on the 1300 block of Pine Bluff Street. USA Today reports police learned the child’s father, Edgar Bridgemon, allegedly “had intentionally given the infant gasoline to drink.”

    Bridgemon reportedly ran away from the address, but soon returned. Capt. Terry Bull told USA Today Bridgemon “admitted to having given the infant gasoline to drink with the intention of ending the child’s life.”

    KDFW-TV reports the little girl was “awake and crying” when police arrived. She was transported to a local hospital, then transferred to Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.

    Bull told KDFW Bridgemon confessed, which allowed them to arrest him.

    Lamar County Jail records show Bridgemon is being held on charges of attempted capital murder and evading arrest.

    Roger Allen Cender Jr., 53, of Andalusia, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024.

    A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 3 p.m., at the Andalusia City Hall.

    He is survived by his wife, Natasha Cender of Andalusia; his children, Tonianne Cender of New Jersey, Chloe Cender of Andalusia, Trevor Williams of Jacksonville, Florida, Breanna Smith of Andalusia, Jessica Smith of Andalusia; his granddaughter, Nora of New Jersey; his brothers, Jason Sepulveda and Jimmy Cender of New Jersey; multiple cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family.

    Artificial intelligence (AI), which is used in the production of music, has become a trend that is rapidly gaining popularity. This has been a major influence on the rap genre. AI-generated music has become more popular. The technology is used to create original compositions and covers of songs by deceased artists. AI-generated hip-hop has raised questions about the artists’ livelihoods, likeness and creativity. The recent wave of AI-generated songs in hip-hop raises concerns about their impact on the art form, and the industry which supports it.

    Anyone can use AI to create deep-fake lyrics by entering a few keywords on AI sites like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, or These Lyrics Don’t Exist. It is more difficult to create a song that uses the voice of an established artist. A developer of AI technology demonstrated recently how simple it is to create a song using AI once the technology is trained to produce an artist’s voice tone and inflections. The concern with such technology is that artists’ voices could be used without permission, resulting in a violation of copyright laws.

    Music is the Wild West of AI, and it poses interesting questions about this ever-evolving tech. AI-generated music may allow artists to make better music, but it also poses serious concerns for privacy, creativity and finances. The music industry is trying to determine how AI-generated tracks will impact the art form. However, the artificial-intelligence trend continues to be a controversial topic in the hip-hop community.

    Germany Issues First Arrest Warrant In Nord Stream Sabotage Investigation

    (TYLER DURDEN REPORTS) –The Nord Stream pipeline explosion was one the largest acts of industrial sabotage in modern history. Nearly two years later, speculation continues to swirl about who was behind the attack. 

    Was it the CIA, as famed journalist and Pulitzer prize winner Seymour Hersh claimed? Did the Russians blow up their own undersea pipeline in the Baltic Sea? Or was it a Ukrainian commando with a sailing yacht?

    A new report surfaced on Wednesday, released by several German media outlets, including ARD, Sueddeutsche Zeitung, and Die Zeit. It details how German officials obtained an arrest warrant for a Ukrainian citizen named ‘Volodymyr Z’ in June, who was living in Poland at the time.

    Polish National Public Prosecutor’s Office spokeswoman Anna Adamiak told Reuters that the arrest warrant was sent to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw in June.

    Volodymyr Z was a diver wanted in connection with the Nord Stream explosion that rocked the NatGas pipeline, which stretches from Russia to Germany, in September 2022.

    “Ultimately, Volodymyr Z. was not detained, because at the beginning of July he left Polish territory, crossing the Polish-Ukrainian border,” Adamiak said.

    She continued, “Free crossing of the Polish-Ukrainian border by the above-mentioned person was possible because German authorities… did not include him in the database of wanted persons, which meant that the Polish Border Guard had no knowledge and no grounds to detain Volodymyr Z.”

    In February, Swedish and Danish authorities closed their investigation into who was behind the pipeline sabotage.

    In early 2023, months after the pipeline attack, journalist Seymour Hersh published a bombshell report on his Substack that alleged the US blew up the Russia-to-Germany NatGas pipeline as part of a covert operation under the guise of the BALTOPS 22 NATO exercise.

    “The Navy proposed using a newly commissioned submarine to assault the pipeline directly. The Air Force discussed dropping bombs with delayed fuses that could be set off remotely. The CIA argued that whatever was done, it would have to be covert. Everyone involved understood the stakes,” the report, entitled How America Took Out The Nord Stream Pipeline, reads.

    Days after the explosion, America’s corporate media outlets pushed this propaganda.

    One can’t help but wonder if the latest push by EU corporate media is yet another misinformation and disinformation campaign to shift the blame from the US to Ukraine.

  • Ark. mom pleads guilty in death of boy who drowned in toilet and was found under floorboards

    LEE COUNTY, Ark. (TCN) — A 30-year-old mother will spend four decades in prison after her boyfriend fatally drowned her 5-year-old son in a toilet as punishment and injured her 6-year-old daughter in 2022.

    Ashley Rolland pleaded guilty on Aug. 8 to two counts of permitting abuse of a minor, Arkansas State Police said in a release. She subsequently received a sentence of 40 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections.

    According to an affidavit, in December 2022, Lee County deputies responded to a home on Front Street, where Ashley Rolland brought out her daughter. The child had apparent injuries on her head that had scabbed over. The mother claimed her son, Blu Rolland, was not at the residence.

    The daughter was transported to Forrest City Hospital, where staff determined she had been severely burned.

    According to the affidavit, Ashley Rolland’s mother told deputies that Blu Rolland was possibly deceased inside the defendant’s home. Authorities entered the residence and found the boy under the floorboards wrapped in multiple layers of plastic bags.

    Ashley Rolland reportedly told police her son died three months earlier, on Sept. 9, 2022. The victim allegedly “angered her boyfriend, Nathan Bridges, by biting his finger when Bridges stuck it in” his mouth. As punishment, Bridges reportedly drowned the child in the toilet. The defendant admitted she had entered the bathroom and saw her son struggling to breathe and that his body appeared limp.

    According to the affidavit, Ashley Rolland told investigators Bridges buried the victim under the floorboards after his death.

    The defendant allegedly said her daughter’s injuries were also caused by Bridges when he held the girl’s “head and upper torso under hot water in the bathtub.” Ashley Rolland’s daughter reportedly struggles with behavioral issues, and Bridges would use hot water as punishment.

    According to state police, both Rolland and Bridges were initially charged with capital murder, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, and endangering the welfare of a minor.

    Bridges pleaded guilty in July to first-degree murder and first-degree battery and was sentenced to 60 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections.

    Johnathan Caton “Jayce” Lee, 18-month-old son of Johnathan Glenn Lee and Taylor Diane Lee of River Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.

    Funeral services were held Saturday, August 10, 2 p.m., at New Hope Independent Baptist Church. Bro. Drew Barlow officiated. The family received friends at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were John Lee and Brandon Watson. Keahey Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

  • Apple’s Rapid Security Fixes for Devices – The US Times

    Apple released its first public batch of “rapid-security” patches to address vulnerabilities that are actively exploited or pose significant risk to Apple’s customers. Rapid Security Response Updates are designed to provide important security updates between software updates. Some rapid patches, but not all, can be installed without rebooting. Users running iOS 16.4.1 and iPadOS 16.4.1 as well as macOS 13.3.1 can download the rapid security update.

    The update has not been installed immediately for some users. Apple has not yet commented on this update. It is unclear what it fixes. Researchers have recently discovered new exploits created by spyware makers QuaDream Group and NSO Group to target iPhone users worldwide. Both spyware makers exploited previously unknown vulnerabilities in Apple software that allowed their government clients to steal data silently from the victim’s device.

    Apple released this rapid update to fix security vulnerabilities efficiently and quickly, providing important security improvements in between software updates. This is a faster way to update your device than it would take for a normal software update. Apple has yet to respond to comments made about the feature. It is enabled by default. Users running iOS 16.4.1 and macOS 133.1 can download the update. Some users reported that the update did not install immediately. Apple must continue to release security updates as researchers continue to find new exploits. This will protect Apple’s customers.
