Watchdog Group Says FBI Is Hiding Records On Trump Assassination Attempt

    Paul Joseph Watson via Modernity.news

A leading watchdog group says the FBI is hiding records relating to its coordination with the Secret Service for the rally during which an assassin tried to kill Donald Trump.

The FBI cited FOIA exemption 7(A) to protect ongoing enforcement proceedings surrounding the incident on July 13 in Butler, PA, when gunman Thomas Crooks was able to shoot at Trump despite being spotted behaving suspiciously hours beforehand.

Judicial Watch sent an FOIA request on July 26th asking the FBI to produce all relevant documents pertaining to its preparation and coordination with the Secret Service for Trump’s rally.

However, the group has been stonewalled by the FBI, leaving questions as to why there was seemingly a delay in taking out Crooks before the shooting unanswered.

“Why is the FBI hiding records on its and the Secret Service’s failures to protect Trump?” asked Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton.

“The Biden-Harris administration is covering up the near assassination of former President Trump.”

“The FBI’s refusal to release these records raises serious concerns,” comments journalist Sharyl Attkisson.

Despite the motive behind the shooting still not being known, it has almost completely disappeared from the headlines within the space of a single month.

As we previously highlighted, Senator Ron Johnson, who chairs the committee overseeing the investigation into the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, has warned that the FBI cannot be trusted.

“You know I do not trust the FBI do this investigation, honestly,” Johnson said in response to claims by FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate that the feds had discovered comments posted by shooter Thomas Crooks that espoused “anti-Semitic and anti-immigration themes.”

Last week it was revealed that Crooks’ body was cremated just 10 days after the assassination attempt, leading some to assert that this was part of an attempt to cover up evidence.

  • Couple 'basically confessed' to failing to treat 12-year-old girl's fatal injuries

ATASCOSA COUNTY, Texas (TCN) — A couple was arrested last week after they reportedly failed to seek medical aid when the woman’s 12-year-old daughter suffered from critical and ultimately fatal injuries.

According to the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office, on Monday, Aug. 12, at 8 p.m., the county dispatch received a call from Denise Balbaneda, who said she needed medical assistance for her daughter. Paramedics met her on Highway 16 South and transported the victim, who was “alive but unconscious,” to a local hospital. Doctors reportedly “worked vigorously to treat the victim,” but she was pronounced deceased at 9:55 p.m. KSAT-TV identified the girl as Miranda Sipps.

Investigators began looking into the circumstances surrounding her injuries and death. The sheriff’s office said Balbaneda and her husband, Gerald Gonzales, “failed to seek medical assistance for the girl, even though she was mentally and physically incapacitated and non-responsive.”

Balbaneda called 911 once Sipps went into respiratory distress.

In a press conference, Sheriff David Soward said Sipps “could flutter her eyes and move her hands a bit,” but Gonzales and Balbaneda reportedly failed to seek medical care for her for four days.

“They had her laying on a pallet in the house,” Soward said.

He did not reveal details about her injuries, but said she was unconscious and required oxygen. Balbaneda and Gonzales allegedly “thought they could nurse her back to health” and tried giving her smoothies, but Soward said, “Someone who is not conscious is not able to swallow.”

According to Soward, they “basically confessed” to failing to seek care for Sipps.

Balbaned and Gonzales were arrested on a charge of injury to a child causing serious bodily injury by omission.

Sipps was a cheerleader at Jourdanton Jr. High School and was supposed to turn 13 this month.

Soward said, “You still have a duty as a parent to provide medical care to a 12-year-old child.”

  • New image of would-be Trump assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks just before deadly shooting emerges

    From New York Post:

An new image of Donald Trump’s would-be assassin sitting on a wall looking and at his phone emerged Friday, showing the moments before he took a shot at the ex-president’s life.

Thomas Matthew Crooks can be seen perched on a wall in a grassy area of the Butler Farm Show Grounds in Butler, Pa., on July 13 as he waited for Trump, 78, to take the stage.

In the picture taken from above, Crooks, 20, appears to be scrolling on his cellphone, which was found alongside a remote transmitter after he was killed by return fire from a Secret Service sniper.

In the picture, the gunman is wearing the same gray influencer-branded shirt he was seen sporting in the only other image previously released of Crooks in the lead-up to the shooting, which killed retired fire chief Corey Comperatore, 50, and seriously injured David Dutch, 57, and James Copenhaver, 74.

The new image was released Saturday by Judicial Watch, along with documents that detail how local law enforcement was stationed in preparation for the rally.

  • Fact Check: Jacky Rosen oversimplifies Sam Brown’s abortion statements in Nevada Senate race

Sen. Jacky Rosen, D-Nev., is attacking her Republican opponent over his stance on abortion.

Rosen, who was first elected in 2018, faces retired U.S. Army Capt. Sam Brown in a highly competitive swing state U.S. Senate race. This is Brown’s second campaign in Nevada. In 2014, he ran unsuccessfully for office in Texas, and in 2022, had a failed Republican primary bid for U.S. Senate in Nevada.

In a 30-second ad appearing on TV and digital platforms, Rosen’s campaign argued Brown has shifted his public statements around abortion to suit his political aims.

“He’s trying to change his story to get elected,” the ad’s narrator said as an image of Brown speaking Feb. 21 on NBC News’ “Meet the Press”  flashed on screen. The show’s chyron read, “Nevada GOP Senate candidate says he wouldn’t support federal abortion ban.”

The narrator continued: “But for years, MAGA extremist Sam Brown has been pushing to ban abortion. He pushed to overturn Roe v. Wade. He said abortion should be banned without any exceptions for rape or incest.”

Brown has made several statements about abortion, not all of them consistent. Before the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June 2022, Brown described himself as “pro-life” but did not specifically say whether or not he supported exceptions to laws restricting abortion access. In 2014, he said he supported a Texas law that banned abortion after 20 weeks without exceptions. In his 2024 run, however, he has been clear that he does not support a national abortion ban but that in states that ban abortion, he does support exceptions for rape and incest.

Polling has generally shown Nevadans support abortion access. Nearly two-thirds of Nevada registered voters in a July 8, 2021, poll from OH Predictive Insight described themselves as “pro-choice.” More than 60% of Nevada registered voters said in an April 2023 poll commissioned by the Nevada Independent they supported amending the state constitution to guarantee a woman’s right to obtain an abortion, a measure that will also appear on November’s ballot.

    Rosen’s claims

Rosen’s ad pointed to a June 2023 HuffPost article that linked to Brown’s response to a 2022 questionnaire from the Christian fundamentalist American Families Association. Asked, “Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?” Brown’s response read, “Risk of life to the mother.”

Brown’s campaign in 2023 sought to distance itself from the 2022 response, however, saying a campaign staffer filled it out without Brown’s authorization.

Rosen’s ad also included a snippet of Brown speaking at a 2014 candidate forum held by the Far North Dallas Tea Party. In it, Brown said he supported a 2013 Texas law banning abortion after 20 weeks. Statehouse Republicans rejected a Democratic-backed amendment to that law that would have included exceptions for rape or incest.

“On issues of life, that is nonnegotiable for me,” Brown said in the video clip.

Asked for evidence behind Rosen’s claim, Rosen campaign spokesperson Johanna Warshaw pointed PolitiFact to a May 11, 2022,  Reno Gazette-Journal article in which Brown was asked about his abortion views.

“In light of a recently leaked Supreme Court draft opinion that would reverse Roe v. Wade, would you stand behind any federal restrictions on abortion, and what exceptions, if any, do you support?” the newspaper asked.

Brown’s response did not address exceptions. It read:

“I’m pro life, and I always will stand on the side of protecting life. I gained a true appreciation for the value of life when I was in Afghanistan and nearly lost my own to a Taliban bomb. As a senator, I’ll continue to protect life by voting against any federal funding of abortion and by voting to confirm justices who protect life.”

    A timeline of Brown’s stance

We independently reviewed Brown’s abortion statements and also found:

    • During his 2014 campaign for Texas House of Representatives, Brown said the following on his campaign website:

“Abortion is not an issue of choice. It is an issue of life and I am proudly pro-life. We need to do everything possible to support and encourage young mothers who are considering abortion to pursue adoption or to recognize the value of life and raise the child they have been blessed with.”

The website included no statements about exceptions to anti-abortion laws.

    • Starting in November 2022, Brown chaired the Nevada Faith and Freedom Coalition, a nonprofit faith-based advocacy group. Brown has described the Nevada chapter as a “spinoff”of the national group, but a separate organization. Ralph Reed, the national Faith and Freedom Coalition’s founder, has said his group will support any legislation that limits abortion, including a total ban. An archived version of the Nevada Faith and Freedom Coalition’s issues page does not mention abortion.

    • On July 12, 2023, the day after he launched his Senate campaign, a KSNV-TV reporter asked Brown about his abortion stance. Brown said, “You know, I would love to see fewer abortions. I am pro-life. And you know, with exceptions for those tragic cases in which there is rape, incest, or a threat to the life of the mother, but I think we can do better in helping to sort of create a pathway for adoption.”

    • A Dec. 5, 2023, Nevada Independent article reported that Brown’s campaign said it “disavows” and had “no involvement” with the 2022 questionnaire in which Brown said he supports abortion law exceptions when the mother’s life is at risk. The campaign attributed the answer to a junior staff member who it said had not been authorized to respond.

    • In a Feb. 12, NBC News interview, Brown’s wife, Amy Brown, described that days before she met her husband-to-be, she had an abortion because of an “immense amount of pressure that I had to do it.” Sam Brown said in the interview that he supported exceptions to abortion bans for rape, incest and when the mother’s life is threatened.

    • In a June 30, op-ed for the Las Vegas Sun, Brown wrote: “Yes, Amy and I are pro-life. We believe in exceptions for rape, incest and the life of the mother. It is our hope that women choose life, and more families experience the joys of parenthood.

    Brown’s response

Brown campaign spokesperson Kristy Wilkinson on Aug. 10 reiterated to PolitiFact that the American Families Association voter guide response didn’t reflect Brown’s stance.

“He never even saw it,” Wilkinson said. “As he has stated many, many times on the record, he believes in exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother.”

Wilkinson told PolitiFact that Brown’s support for the 2013 Texas law was consistent with his current belief that decisions on abortion restrictions should be left to the states. She said he also wanted exceptions for rape and incest included in the law. Wilkinson did not respond to PolitiFact’s request for examples of his 2013 advocacy for those exceptions, and we found no evidence of Brown’s advocacy for exceptions.

    Our ruling

A Rosen campaign ad said Brown “said abortion should be banned without exceptions for rape or incest.”

Brown supported Texas’ 20-week abortion ban, which had no exceptions for rape or incest. Brown also said states should have final say on abortion access, which leaves open the possibility that states pass abortion bans without exceptions for rape or incest. In a 2022 candidate survey, Brown listed “risk of life to the mother” as the only exception to an abortion ban he would support. Brown has since disavowed that survey, saying he was not the one who filled it out.

In public comments since the Supreme Court ruled against federally protected abortion access, and on the campaign trail in 2024, Brown has said he supports exceptions, including for rape and incest.

The statement is partially accurate but leaves out important details or takes things out of context. We rate it Half True.

PolitiFact Researcher Caryn Baird contributed to this report.

  • Germany says Ukraine Must Pay For Damage From Nord Stream Bombing | The Liberty Beacon

Germany says Ukraine Must Pay For Damage From Nord Stream Bombing

German Bundestag co-chair. Alice Weidel. is calling for Ukraine to compensate Germany for the damage caused to its economy as a result of the September 26, 2022 underwater bombings.

(TYLER DURDEN REPORTS) – We previously highlighted that the recent “bombshell” WSJ Nord Stream report is yet another major attempt by mainstream gatekeepers to radically shift the narrative over the Nord Stream sabotage, and to put official distance between President Zelensky and his supposedly ‘rogue’ top general at the time who ‘oversaw’ the covert op. Still, the following is now crystal clear and fully established at this point, as even mainstream media now fully admits:

Yes, Ukraine did it. No, Russia did not do it. And yes it had the involvement or at least foreknowledge of the CIA.

We further pointed out that this sudden U-turn in the narrative was meant to soften the blow from Germany’s decision to finally cut off Ukraine’s – and Zelensky’s – unprecedented grift. Already and to be expected, some German lawmakers are pissed at being so obviously used and abused by Kiev. After all the NS2 pipeline had been a years-long, multi-billion dollar Russia to Germany natural gas vital infrastructure project which cost $11 billion to build.

In the wake of the latest revelations, member of the German Bundestag, co-chair of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party Alice Weidel has been among the loudest Berlin officials in denouncing Kiev. She is calling for Ukraine to compensate Germany for the damage caused to its economy as a result of the September 26, 2022 underwater bombings.

German rightwing populist politician Alice Weidel, Getty Images

Here’s what she posted to X on Friday in the wake of WSJ’s reporting and the latest disclosures surrounding the ‘mystery’ sabotage (according to machine translation from the German):

The economic damage to our country caused by the demolition of Nordstream presumably ordered by Zelensky – and not Putin as we were led to believe – should be “billed” to Ukraine.

Any “aid payments” that burden the German taxpayer should be stopped.

The firebrand and populist conservative politician is essentially telling Ukraine at this point: ‘you bombed it, you pay for it and stop taking advantage of our taxpaying citizenry.’ Or in other words, the gravy train has ended as the truth comes out.

Berlin-Kiev relations have further strained as the German Prosecutor General’s Office also lately issued an arrest warrant for a Ukrainian citizen suspected of involvement in the pipeline sabotage plot. The suspect is also described as having at least two accomplices, identified as experienced divers who directly assisted in installing explosive devices to the pipelines.

All of this is indeed having swift effect, given soon after news of the arrest warrant was made public, a Saturday report in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) said that the German government will stop new military aid to Ukraine as part of the ruling coalition’s plan to reduce spending. The report, which cited non-public documents and emails as well as discussions with unnamed sources, goes on to note that the moratorium on new assistance – which is already in effect – will affect new requests for funding, not previously approved aid.

Berlin, which is Europe’s main supplier of military aid to Kyiv, had previously signaled a change in course on Ukraine last month, when the governing coalition of the Social Democrats, the Greens and the Liberals adopted a preliminary deal on a draft budget for 2025. The compromise detailed plans to slash future assistance to Ukraine by half to €4 billion to fulfill other spending priorities. And, it now appears, that even this token amount could be cut to zero.

It will also be interesting to see how much traction Alice Weidel’s enough is enough messaging and calls for getting German public funds back from Ukraine will have among the German populace. Likely it will resonate strongly after well over a year of ‘war fatigue’ and as tensions could escalate into nuclear-armed showdown between Russia and NATO.

Longtime investigative journalist Seymour Hersh says alternative NS2 sabotage theories in NYT and German press were ‘concocted’ by CIA….

And likely the last shoe has still yet to drop on the still unraveling Nord Stream sabotage narrative. Legendary US investigative journalist Seymour Hersh predicted all of this ‘official narrative manipulation’ months ago.

  • BOMBSHELL: The CIA was at the Capitol on January 6 — doing what?

    From Blaze Media:

Judicial Watch has filed a federal lawsuit seeking to force the CIA to disclose any involvement in the January 6 Capitol riot — and President Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch isn’t giving up.

After coming across documents that showed that the CIA had teams present at the Capitol and responding to the alleged pipe bombs found near the RNC and DNC, as well as other agents on standby, Fitton believes there’s a lot more to the story than the public is being told.

“This was astonishing news to us,” Fitton tells BlazeTV hosts Jill Savage of “Blaze News Tonight” and James Poulos of “Zero Hour.”

“We didn’t know the CIA had operators deployed on January 6 at the U.S. Capitol, and I’m sure it’s a surprise to Americans that the CIA was conducting law enforcement activities here in America,” he continues.

  • How James Murphy Built a 400+ Property Portfolio Without Owning Any Properties – The US Times

James Murphy’s success story is a testament to the power of creative property strategies. With only £5,000 ($6,000) of his own money and a £10,000 ($12,000) bank loan, James and his wife Stephanie built an 8-figure property business in three years. Even more impressive is that they did it without owning any of the properties in their portfolio.

James and Stephanie started their property journey by purchasing a few properties to generate cash flow. However, they soon realized they could scale their business more quickly by adopting a different strategy. They began to focus on “rent-to-rent,” a method in which they lease properties from landlords and then sublet them to tenants at a higher price.

This strategy allowed them to grow their portfolio rapidly, as they could take on multiple properties without worrying about the capital needed for a down payment. They could also negotiate favorable lease terms with landlords and generate higher cash flow by renting the properties at a premium.

James and Stephanie’s success with this strategy led them to explore other creative property strategies, such as lease options and assisted sales. Through these strategies, they could acquire more properties without significant upfront capital. They also developed a business infrastructure and appointed a CEO to run the business, allowing them to focus on teaching and consulting for property entrepreneurs, investors, and business owners through their consultancy business, GPWN (Global Property and Wealth Network).

James and Stephanie’s success with these strategies has garnered viral attention and recognition. James has amassed over 110k followers on Instagram, spoken at various property events and featured in several major media outlets.

James and Stephanie’s story highlights the power of thinking outside the box and utilizing creative strategies to build a successful property portfolio. By leveraging relationships, negotiating favorable terms, and focusing on cash flow, they have scaled their business to over 400 properties and become leaders in the industry. Their story serves as an inspiration to others who may be struggling to get started in the property business or those looking to take their portfolio to the next level.
