    Job Description

    • The Energy and Metering Specialist, who is part of our Group Property Division, leverages data analytics tools and methods to provide insights and recommendations into optimizing the Group’s (2000+ stores) energy consumption.

    Responsibilities

    Data Management

    • Gather, validate, review, document and maintain the Group’s energy data and processes. 
    • Assess and monitor availability, quality and integrity of data and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate timely interventions.
    • Develop and implement Data Improvement Plans to ensure that data is reliable, complete, and auditable and is of high integrity and accuracy.
    • Monitoring, measurement and energy performance review 
    • Analyse energy data and provide critical insights.
    • Track and review performance against determined baseline and targets
    • Benchmarking performance against appropriate benchmarks – against past performance (internal benchmarking), peers (external benchmarking/ best in class) as well as national and international best practice (reference benchmarking).

    Energy Management.

    • Conducting research into and analysing the company’s current energy usage and reporting thereon. 
    • Analysing of Groups utilities consumption data to identify optimization opportunities
    • Carrying out energy assessments and audits.
    •  Metering of Utilities.
    • Metering data management
    • Carrying out metering audits, developing utility metering plans and executing smart metering projects.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Grade 12 with a relevant undergrad qualification

    Experience:

    • 2+ years of experience in a role where you have managed Energy/Electrical consumption for a large organization
    • Advanced proficiency in the use of any of the following data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
    • An understanding of how electricity is metered
    • Research skills
    • Numerate and able to understand data
    • Analytical and creative
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • The ability to influence stakeholders at various levels across the organisation

    Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Job Purpose

    • The successful candidate for this role will report into the Human Resource Business Partner Lead and will be responsible for delivering HR programs and support to the Wholesale Division including Shared Services.     • Human Resource Business Partner (12 Month fixed term contract) – Wholesales Division in Midrand South Africa

    Responsibilities:

    Talent Management

    • Coordinate the end-to-end talent acquisition process by working closely with the talent team as well as the hiring manager.
    • Ensure that the vacancy requisition is duly authorised and that the position is advertised.
    • Participate in the short-listing process together with the hiring manager and the talent acquisition partner.
    • Ensure that the interviews have been scheduled and that the interview guides have been set up.
    • Participate in interview processes and that recruitment processes are closed out as per the hiring timelines.
    • Follow up with line managers to ensure that the performance review and goal setting processes are completed as per the business timelines.
    • Support the HR Business partner lead with the succession planning process to ensure that successors are identified, development plans are in place and risks are tracked.

    HR Administration

    • Process all documents required for on-boarding and off-boarding employees together with the HR operations team.
    • Ensure that all org changes are processed and that the organisation structures on SuccessFactors are up to date.
    • Ensure that vacancies on SuccessFactors are accurate and up to date.
    • Maintain employee relations tracker.
    • Compile HR reports as required.

    Employee Relations

    • Support the business with employee relations matters ie disciplinary’s, grievances and poor performance in line with Company Policies as well as the Labour Relations Act or any other applicable local legislation in collaboration with the HR Business Partner Lead.

    HR Projects

    • Support the HR leadership team in executing projects in support of the HR Strategy

    Qualifications & Experience Required

    Education, Master, other certification:

    • A minimum of 3-year HR Degree/ National Diploma or an equivalent qualification.

    • At least 3 years’ experience in a same or similar role

    • Ensure that all old parts are placed in a plastic bag in the boot of the vehicle, except in the case of warranty work where old parts must be returned to the Warranty Clerk
    • Ensure that all oils and consumables used are recorded on the job card
    • Ensure that worked hours are clocked correctly
    • Ensure that the vehicle is kept as clean as possible and that all seat and fender covers are clean
    • Do not leave keys in an unattended vehicle
    • Ensure that work bay is kept safe, clean and tidy
    • Report any faulty / broken equipment to the Foreman / Workshop Manager
    • Ensure that special tools and equipment are used according to safety regulations and specifications
    • Ensure that hand tools set conforms to Motus standard
    • Accept responsibility for apprentice and impart as much technical knowledge to him as possible through explanation, practice and the monitoring of work, including rectifying faults
    • Reasonable requests by Management outside your job description will be performed from time to time
