    Her husband, Derek, gave us a sneak peek of her return to the dance studio. He shared a black-and-white photo on Instagram. The photo showed the couple’s backs as they embraced in an empty studio.

    The caption of the March 20 post read, “Stepping onto this blank canvas together. Beginning to paint again.” It was a poignant moment, captured in a simple image.

    This all comes after a terrifying incident in early December. It happened after a show on her and Derek’s Symphony of Dance tour. Hayley was rushed to the hospital. The diagnosis? A cranial hematoma, caused by a burst blood vessel.

    She’s had to put her professional dance career on hold as she recovers from multiple surgeries. But Derek isn’t counting out her return to the dance floor. He’s hopeful, and so are we.

    “There’s a possibility, there really is,” the Dancing with the Stars judge told E! News. He reminisced about their shared history on stage. “We actually met dancing on stage on tour. Our first kiss was on stage on tour. We were touring last year for the first time as a married couple and now this, going back out, there’s a completely different meaning and tension.”

    So, there’s a chance. A chance for Hayley to return to the dance floor. A chance for the couple to continue their shared passion. And we’re all here, cheering them on.
