This season has been a challenging one for Manchester United, yet it has also showcased the rise of a promising young group of players under Erik ten Hag’s leadership.
The reliance on youthful talent has been a highlight, with players like Alejandro Garnacho becoming essential to the team’s lineup. Alongside him, Kobbie Mainoo has proven himself to be invaluable, earning a spot that seems permanent on the team sheet.
In the attacking department, Rasmus Hojlund has been making significant strides, marked by his achievement of scoring in four consecutive matches recently.
Ahead of the upcoming game at Villa Park, Luke Shaw took the opportunity to commend the young Dane’s performance and potential. In an interview with Sky Sports, Shaw expressed high expectations for Hojlund, stating, “(He will be) one of the best, There’s a lot of pressure on his shoulders, he has to come in and hit the ground running. He wants to learn, adapt and push himself to the max.”
Shaw, having missed a considerable part of the season, has recently had the chance to play alongside Hojlund. This pairing has quickly developed a promising synergy, as both players are now fully fit and demonstrating their best form.
