  • OGC Nice star attracts Manchester United interest

Manchester United are once more looking to OGC Nice after scouting French side last summer.

Defender Jean-Clair Todibo was the centre of United’s attention at the time as The Red Devils searched for a new centre-back to replace Raphael Varane.

Ultimately Todibo joined West Ham United and Manchester United signed Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro in the role instead.

Now, Ruben Amorim’s side are once more looking to the Ligue 1 club, however not in defence, but in attack.

Stretty News has reported that United are looking at 23-year-old striker Evann Guessand ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Ivory Coast international has established himself as the club’s first-choice striker after coming through the Nice’s academy and having loans with Lausanne-Sport and FC Nantes.

This season, Guessand has grabbed 12 goals and eight assists in 36 games, and with youth on his side he fits INEOS’ profile of impressive young talent with future potential.

The striker also has diversity on his side, regularly being used on both wings as well as up front showing off his adaptability, with United reportedly interested in his physical strength, technical ability and his eye for goal.

However United will have to fend off Tottenham Hotspur who are also interested in the young striker.

United do have an ace up their sleeve though with links through Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s company, who are co-owners of United, also own OGC Nice and Laussane-Sport, where Guessand went out on loan.

As such, INEOS’ recruitment will already be significantly aware of the star, helping the club’s scouting of him, which in turn could support United in signing the impressive striker.

  • Manchester United receive huge boost in Victor Osimhen pursuit

Manchester United are expected to be active in the summer transfer window as they look to strengthen key areas of their squad ahead of the new season.

The club’s inconsistency in front of goal has been a major talking point, with Rasmus Hojlund carrying much of the burden in attack.

While the Danish forward has shown glimpses of brilliance in a couple of games, United are eager to add more firepower to their frontline.

The upcoming transfer window presents an opportunity to do just that, with multiple high-profile strikers being monitored.

The club’s ambitions to return to the top of English football will likely hinge on their ability to land a proven goal scorer.

Victor Osimhen remains a name heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, as the Nigerian international prepares for a potential exit from Napoli.

Reports indicate that Juventus recently made a serious attempt to sign the prolific striker, holding discussions with his representatives to outline their long-term vision.

However, Victor Osimhen made his stance clear, politely acknowledging their interest but reaffirming his desire to move to a bigger league, as reported by JuveFC.

His preference is understood to be the Premier League, with Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea all on his radar.

He is also open to joining Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich, two clubs consistently competing at the highest level in Europe.

Napoli are expected to demand a hefty fee for their star striker, who was instrumental in their Serie A title-winning campaign last season.

Juventus’ efforts to sway Osimhen included a detailed pitch about their project, ambitions, and their plans to reassert themselves as a dominant force in both Serie A and the Champions League.

However, Osimhen remains focused on securing a move to a club that offers a more competitive platform.

Manchester United’s interest in Osimhen is long-standing, and with Juventus seemingly out of the race, the path may be clearer for the English giants to make a move.

Whether the club is willing to meet Napoli’s asking price remains to be seen, but with their attack in need of reinforcements, Osimhen remains a strong candidate to lead the line at Old Trafford next season.

  • Alejandro Garnacho’s stats expose shocking form

Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho continues to struggle for form this season, with his numbers in the Premier League leaving much to be desired.

While he created four chances in yesterday’s defeat to Nottingham Forest, only Bruno Fernandes managed more, Garnacho’s overall season statistics paint a grim picture for the young winger.

With just one assist to his name from 29 appearances and a shot conversion rate of only 5.9%, the 20-year-old is facing a challenging period.

Despite his evident talent, Alejandro Garnacho has failed to replicate the same level of output that fans have come to expect.

His performance against Forest was a stark reminder of his ongoing issues in the final third.

Alejandro Garnacho attempted six shots in the game, which was more than his usual average of 3.5 shots per 90 minutes, but he failed to hit the target with any of them.

His expected goals (xG) of 0.25 was lower than that of Harry Maguire, who came on as a substitute.

United manager Ruben Amorim was quick to defend Garnacho after the match, emphasizing that the young winger is giving his all on the pitch.

    “He is making everything.

CLICK HERE TO JOIN THE CENTRE DEVILS WHATSAPP GROUP CHAT NOW!

    “He’s trying,” Amorim said.

“Sometimes you have one day that you are doing the right things, but in the final third, you are not that good, that can happen.”

However, Garnacho’s overall numbers this season suggest a deeper problem.

He ranks 72nd in the Premier League for chances created, with just 1.4 chances per 90 minutes.

Out of his 25 chances created, almost all came from open play.

Despite having a decent number of shots, his dribble success rate is the worst in the Premier League at 30.8%, completing only one out of every three dribbles he attempts.

With competition for places heating up at Old Trafford, Garnacho’s future could be in doubt unless he improves his efficiency in front of goal and with the ball at his feet.

For now, it’s clear that he has much to prove in the remainder of the season.

United fans will be hoping Garnacho can turn things around and show the potential that once made him a highly touted prospect.

  • Manchester United in tug of war with rivals for Xavi Simons

Manchester United are gearing up for a major summer rebuild, with the midfield being a focal point of their efforts.

Several attacking options have already been linked to the club, with names like Kenan Yildiz of Juventus also in the frame.

However, it’s the RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons who is reportedly at the top of their wishlist, with United eyeing a move for the 21-year-old Dutch talent.

The Red Devils’ interest comes as no surprise, as they look to bolster their midfield with a player capable of adding dynamism and creativity.

Xavi Simons, who made his move to Leipzig permanent in January after an initial loan spell, has been turning heads across Europe with his impressive performances.

Known for his versatility, the attacking midfielder has the ability to play in various positions across the frontline, something that has caught the attention of United’s management as they seek to add more options to their attacking setup.

With 18 goals and 19 assists in 69 appearances for Leipzig, Xavi Simons has proven he has what it takes to shine in one of Europe’s top leagues.

However, Manchester United will face stiff competition for his signature this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool have all shown interest in the young talent, with previous attempts to sign him last summer falling short.

The report suggests that the 21-year-old’s relatively affordable price tag, estimated to be between €70m-€75m (£58.4m-£62.6m), could make him an attractive option for several top Premier League clubs looking to strengthen their squads.

Despite the intense competition, Manchester United are believed to be in a strong position to land Simons, having made him a priority target.

With their ongoing pursuit of midfield reinforcements, the club will have to move quickly to secure a deal before their rivals can make their moves.

United’s need for a creative midfielder has never been more urgent, as they continue to search for the right player to fit into their attacking plans.

As the summer transfer window approaches, it’s clear that the battle for Simons will intensify.

United’s pursuit could see them face a bidding war with some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs, but with the right strategy, they could come out on top in securing the Dutchman’s services.

  • Manchester United confident in securing rival’s former player

Manchester United’s struggles up front this season have been a major talking point for fans and pundits alike.

The lack of consistency in the attacking department has led to frustrations, with Rasmus Hojlund’s form falling short of expectations and the team relying heavily on Bruno Fernandes for the creative output.

Despite a few standout performances, the lack of a reliable goal-scorer has been evident, and it’s clear that strengthening the forward line will be a priority in the summer transfer window.

With the club needing fresh options in attack, Manchester United are reportedly eyeing several targets for the upcoming transfer window.

Among those being seriously considered is Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap.

The 22-year-old striker has made quite an impression this season, even as Ipswich face relegation from the Premier League.

Liam Delap has scored 10 goals in 28 league appearances, proving himself as a capable goal-scorer despite his team’s struggles.

The young forward’s performances have caught the attention of several top clubs, and Manchester United are now believed to be in a strong position to win the race for his signature.

With Liam Delap under contract until 2029, and his £40m release clause in play, United are well aware of the competition, with Chelsea, Liverpool, and even his former club, Manchester City, said to be keen on acquiring the forward.

However, United feel confident in their ability to convince Delap to join, especially given the club’s connection with technical director Jason Wilcox, as per the Metro.

Wilcox worked closely with Delap during their time together at Manchester City, and the Red Devils hope that this relationship will help sway the 22-year-old’s decision.

Delap has been a regular starter at Ipswich and has shown that he can thrive in the Premier League, making him an appealing target for United as they seek to bolster their attacking options.

Speaking on his future, Delap told the East Anglian Daily Times, “It’s engrained in us as footballers.

“It’s so important, especially for me, to focus on where I’m at now.

“I’m so happy here, I’m enjoying it so much here.

“I just look forward to playing football.

“I take every game as it comes and focus on the next.”

Despite his loyalty to Ipswich, Delap is aware of the noise surrounding his future.

He added, “We know, as players and people, that there is noise.

“If we have a bad game and people are slating us for not performing or getting the right results, we stay focused on ourselves and what we have to achieve.”

The potential signing of Delap could be the answer to United’s struggles up front, offering a young, dynamic option who could fit seamlessly into Ruben Amorim’s system.

With Delap’s ability to score and his potential to develop further, he might just be the striker Manchester United have been searching for.

  • Manchester United target Crystal Palace superstar

Manchester United’s summer rebuild is expected to be one of the most significant in years, with several key departures likely to shape the club’s transfer strategy.

Ruben Amorim has already outlined his vision for the squad, and the recruitment team is working to identify players who fit his philosophy.

United’s attack has been inconsistent this season, with a lack of creativity and cutting edge often costing the team in crucial moments.

The need for dynamic attackers who can operate effectively in Amorim’s 3-4-3 system has become a priority.

As a result, United are exploring several options in the market, with a Premier League star now emerging as a serious target.

Eberechi Eze is reportedly on Manchester United’s radar as they consider making a summer move for the Crystal Palace playmaker.

The 26-year-old has been one of the standout performers in the Premier League this season, registering six goals and nine assists in 31 appearances.

His ability to carry the ball from deep, unlock defences, and contribute both goals and assists makes him an attractive option for United.

CLICK HERE TO JOIN THE CENTRE DEVILS WHATSAPP GROUP CHAT NOW!

According to TEAMtalk, United’s director of recruitment Christopher Vivell and technical director Jason Wilcox have placed Eze high on their shortlist.

Amorim is also said to be a big admirer of the England international, believing he would fit perfectly as one of the attacking midfielders in his tactical setup.

Palace, however, are in a strong negotiating position, with Eberechi Eze under contract until 2027.

The Eagles will reportedly demand at least £60 million for their star man, ensuring there will be no cut-price deal.

Tottenham Hotspur are also monitoring the situation, while Manchester City could enter the race as they look for a long-term successor to Kevin De Bruyne.

United’s ability to fund a move for Eberechi Eze may depend on departures, with Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Jadon Sancho all expected to leave the club permanently.

If United can generate significant funds through sales, a move for Eze could become a realistic possibility.

Amorim is in desperate need of players who suit his system, and the Palace attacker appears to be an ideal candidate to bring creativity and dynamism to Old Trafford.

  • £37m star striker in Manchester United’s sights

Manchester United’s summer transfer window is set to be a pivotal one, with the club prioritizing key additions to strengthen the squad.

Ruben Amorim is expected to reshape the team, with Ineos backing a more structured approach to recruitment.

While United have struggled with goal-scoring consistency this season, addressing the striker position has become a top priority.

The club is also aiming to compete with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea in the transfer market, as the Premier League’s top sides look to reinforce their attacking options.

With multiple European clubs also in the race, securing the right forward will be crucial.

One name that has emerged as a serious option is Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serbian forward is expected to leave the Turin club this summer, with England looking like his most likely destination.

The report claims that Arsenal, Chelsea, and United are all on high alert as Juventus prepare to offload the 25-year-old.

Despite an inconsistent spell at Juventus, Vlahovic has shown glimpses of the form that made him one of Europe’s most sought-after young strikers at Fiorentina.

CLICK HERE TO JOIN THE CENTRE DEVILS WHATSAPP GROUP CHAT NOW!

His physicality, movement, and finishing ability make him an intriguing option for a United side in need of attacking reinforcements.

The reported £37 million asking price could represent a bargain in today’s market, especially for a proven goal-scorer still entering his prime years.

United’s attack has been heavily reliant on Rasmus Hojlund, but the Danish striker has endured dips in form throughout the season.

Amorim is likely to push for more attacking depth, and Dusan Vlahovic could provide exactly that.

With Arsenal also in need of a proper number nine and Chelsea seeking an upgrade on Nicolas Jackson, United will need to move swiftly if they want to secure his signature.

While there is still competition for his services, the prospect of leading the line at Old Trafford could be an appealing one for Dusan Vlahovic.

As United continue their squad rebuild, bringing in a forward of his calibre could prove to be one of their most decisive moves of the summer.

  • Injury scare for key Manchester United defender

Tonight saw Manchester United experience yet another defeat this season, this time at the hands of third-place Nottingham Forest.

In the fifth minute, former United attacker Anthony Elanga picked up the ball in his own half, launching a counter-attack, scoring and giving Forest the lead.

Unfortunately United weren’t able to do anything to draw even or to go on and win the game.

However, as if the loss wasn’t enough, Manchester Evening News reporter Steven Railston has raised concerns about one of Ruben Amorim’s key defenders.

The reporter explained: “Matthijs de Ligt was limping as he left the stadium” giving rise to worries that another one of Amorim’s centre-backs could be out of action.

Lisandro Martinez has already been ruled out of the rest of the season whilst Ayden Heaven and Jonny Evans are close to recovery.

However, thankfully for United fans, Railston explained that Matthijs de Ligt has calmed the concerns with Railston commenting: “he told me he was okay”.

As there’s no mention of a protective boot, that’s another good sign that the Netherlands international should be ok, with the Manchester Derby set for the weekend.

  • Five things learnt from Nottingham Forest 1-0 Manchester United

As Man Utd returned to Premier League football after a long international break, they were unable to break down a stubborn Nottingham Forest block and lost 1-0.

Nottingham Forest took their time with dead ball situations and were there usually solid selves relying on counter-attacks to threaten Man Utd.

It’s just a shame for the Red Devils that the goal scored was by a former Man Utd player in Anthony Elanga, rubbing salt into the wounds.

Though the performance was improved in parts, Man Utd found it difficult to break Nottingham Forest down and bar a late rally with Harry Maguire thrown up top, didn’t create enough clear cut chances with poor decisions in the final third.

Here are five things we learnt from the trip to the City Ground:

    1) Good Opening 45

It feels like when we mention a positive for Man Utd this season we’re scraping the barrel, but just as the commentators suggested, Man Utd were good vs a team who are 3rd in the league for 45 minutes.

Man Utd held the ball well, found space in wide positions to make Nuno Santo move to a back five and penned Nottingham Forest in for most of the first half, they just couldn’t find a goal and conceded to Anthony Elanga on the counter-attack.

There wasn’t enough clear cut chances created, but the press and winning the ball back was much  improved but it feels as though Man Utd are a team that scores such little goals, if it isn’t against a relegation candidate you feel they’ll have to score first.

The main aim from now until the end of the season when Man Utd aren’t playing in the Europa League is for the players to get comfortable with Amorim’s principles and execute them.

There was patterns and moves where you could say this was happening and Man Utd were getting into the final third

More chances created are absolutely needed but the first half was an encouraging opening 45 minutes.

    2) Lack of Cutting Edge

Following on from the point above, when Man Utd had the ball wide, the amount of poor crosses was astounding.

Apart from the last 15 minutes when Harry Maguire went up front and Man Utd pushed on.

Amorim’s system is meant to compliment the wide forwards and wide full-backs, the problem was whenever Patrick Dorgu, Alejandro Garnacho or Diogo Dalot got into a crossing position, the delivery was flat or poor.

The irony is when the ball finally came, the minute was 92 and Dorgu was finally released by Garnacho and it was Harry Maguire on the end of it, with the header going wide.

In-possession Man Utd were miles better but in the final third it’s still miles off where they should be.

    3) Harry Maguire Battering Ram Cameo

I think it’s pretty clear where Ruben Amorim felt the space was if Harry Maguire was pushed up as a centre-forward.

With Maguire up top, Man Utd peppered the crosses in for the English centre-back who managed to cause some chaos, particularly with a goal line clearance at the end by Murillo.

It goes to show, just like games vs Everton and Ipswich Town, the screw is turned more when Man Utd need to desperately turn a result around.

Perhaps because of his physical presence and the fact it was so late on and Nottingham Forest sat off deeper, but Man Utd looked more threatening with this tactic deployed.

Man Utd’s attack doesn’t have a player like this in their arsenal, come the summer, they may need to look for a striker who is brilliant in the air.

    4) Frustrating 90 Minutes from Garnacho

Alejandro Garnacho is an exciting player and Man Utd at least have some pace in their forward line when he plays.

He’s still very young, but for a player who gets himself in such promising attacking positions and isn’t afraid to keep taking a man on, you find yourself wanting a lot more from him.

His tactical awareness and decision-making needs improving.

The amount of times Patrick Dorgu overlapped him and the Argentinian just ignored his run to shoot was a little exasperating.

The attacking line is probably better with Garnacho in the team, but he can do better, especially in terms of developing a relationship with his full-back.

    5) Momentum checked

Form had improved before the international break with Man Utd losing once in nine games.

The defeat to Nottingham Forest was the 13th in the league season, a damning mark on this dreadful season.

Despite the improvement in performance vs Nottingham Forest, it’s par for the course that Man Utd are not good enough to beat a team that is 3rd in the league.

The Red Devils simply do not create enough or score enough and it’s going to have to change in the league games remaining or pressure will increase on Ruben Amorim.

With the Manchester Derby coming up on Sunday and a crunch tie away to Lyon four days later, Man Utd are going to have to pick themselves up quickly and go again.
