    Dr Janet Ekpenyong celebrates Nigeria at 63

    Deputy National Coordinator, National Cash Transfer Program under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Janet Ekpenyong  has felicitated with the nation on the occasion of the 2023 Independence Day celebration urging Nigerians to Unite and Advance the Renewed Hope Agenda.

    In a Release made available to the media, Dr Janet Ekpenyong described Nigeria as an evolving Nation whose continuous growth and development is admired by nations and as such, the need for collective involvement in the actualization of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President  Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

    According to Her, the current administration is poised towards providing Nigerians with greater opportunities especially the youths in order to compete favourable with their peers across the globe through enhanced empowerment, provision of funds and resources to fund their dreams and aspirations.

    She further urged Nigerians irrespective of party line, tribes, religion and culture to prioritize the Nigeria project in order to experience peace and fruitfulness, which is significant in the Nation’s flag (Green and White).

    She used the opportunity to congratulate the Nigerian President, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, His Wife, Senator Remi Tinubu, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Dr Betta Edu, the Governor of Cross River State,  Senator Prince Bassey Otu and the Distinguished Senator Representing the southern senatorial district, Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, and wished them and all Cross Riverians, by extension Nigerians a prosperous celebration.

    The Nigerian Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu has sworn in unit heads and cluster executives under her ministry to help redeem the dignity of zero and low income earners across the country.

    In a much historic event held at the Conference Room of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Dr Edu urged the new heads to kick start their duties immediately with optimism, transparency and total dedication.

    She noted that, with over 75 million Nigerians living below the poverty index, the President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope initiative is set to create a lasting to issues of Malnutrition among young school and out of school children Internally displacement people, youth and unemployed adults.

    She urged them to work harmoniously with other affiliate members to bring succor to the lives of the poor by regularly positioning themselves in the field for proper and immediate contact with the targeted population.

    Among those inaugurated are the National Head of Office, National Conditional Cash Transfer, Dr Michael Ajuluchuku, Deputy Head of Office/Deputy National Coordinator
    Dr Janet Ekpenyong, a seasoned Medical Doctor, health Financing specialist, experienced programme mangager and a Philanthropist  from Cross River State. Also inaugurated are Engr Mrs Anjor Obandi (Home Grown school feeding program), Mr Richard Romanus (YESSO Project), Dr Echeri Ansa (Renewed Hope Initiative for out of school children), amongst others.
