The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has approved a budget proposal of N17.6 billion for the 2025 financial year. This was revealed in a communique issued at the end of the NFF’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Asaba, Delta State.

The Congress highlighted the achievements of Nigeria’s national teams, commending the Super Eagles for their silver-medal finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and applauding the Super Falcons for their qualification for the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament after a 16-year absence.

The Congress emphasized the importance of grassroots football development, stressing the need for talent discovery across the country. In line with FIFA’s vision for global football growth, the NFF Executive Committee was urged to prioritize initiatives that promote infrastructure development, refereeing capacity enhancement, and coaching courses, particularly for young talents.
