  • Shock Video: Gun Battle Erupts as Hundreds of ‘Youths’ Riot at Six Flags in Georgia

Hundreds of ‘teens’ sow chaos before “unknown number” of suspects open fire on police at theme park’s opening night

One person was shot when suspects opened fire on police during a riot involving hundreds of ‘youths’ at a Six Flags amusement park in Georgia over the weekend, according to reports.

The shocking string of events unfolded on Saturday evening in Austell, a city in the Atlanta metro region.

Thousands of people turned out for opening day at Six Flags Over Georgia before the event devolved into extreme mob violence.

Hundreds of mostly-younger guests began fighting and sowing chaos throughout the park, forcing evacuations as security lost control of the crowd.

Videos purportedly shot at the scene have been circulating on social media.

After the melee spilled over to areas outside the park, suspects began shooting at police, prompting return fire which led to one person being struck and injured.

“Cobb County Police and Security were able to follow the crowd out of the park onto Six Flags Parkway near South Service Road,” authorities said.

“As officers followed the crowd out, ensuring they left the property, an unknown number of suspects fired at officers. An officer returned fire, striking one of the suspects.”

“Our goal is to provide safe, fun entertainment. We employ state of the art security systems and metal detection, maintain a robust and vigilant Public Safety Department, and have strong support from Cobb County Police who are present both inside and outside the park,” Six Flags Over Georgia told Fox 5 Atlanta in a statement.

“It is incredibly disappointing that our community is disrupted at public events throughout the region by groups of underaged youth. Just like other venues in the area, we are committed to keeping this type of trouble outside our park and off our property. There was police activity involving gunshots; we want to confirm there was no shooting at our property or parking lot. This took place on South Service Road that is not owned or operated by Six Flags.”

    An investigation is ongoing.

In 2023, opening day at Six Flags Over Georgia was also marred by fights between “several groups of young people,” according to Fox 5.

  • Naira Will Rebound If Nigeria Returns To Fiscal Federalism— Prof Ekekwe

Professor Ndubuisi Ekekwe has said that the naira will rebound by more than 100 per cent if the country returns to fiscal federalism where regions can control their resources.

Ekekwe said the naira will likely appreciate to N650 per dollar.

Ekekwe said this in reaction to the federal government’s concluded plan to defend the currency.

On Friday, the currency closed at N1,600 at the Bureau de Change segment of the Nigerian foreign exchange market and N1548.25 at the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM).

But the Central Bank of Nigeria has revealed 1,364 bureau de change operators that it wants to sell $20,000 weekly to in order to curb speculation.

The CBN has also withdrawn the license of 4,173 BDCs over alleged non-compliance to the bank’s guidelines on the filing of accounts and returns.

Ekekwe said, “I want to wish those serving the best of luck as they architect policies. The latest is that Nigeria wants to raise $10bn to support the Naira.

“Of course, anything that works is the best. Yet, I would also like to caution the nation to avoid a loop that could become a vicious circle where to fight today’s crisis, you need to raise money, and for tomorrow’s, more funds would be required at the debt market.

“My position on this will be to look at critical anchors and enablers that can ‘wean’ Nigeria of persistent currency paralysis. For a start, examine Nigeria’s fiscal architecture which has significantly affected our productivity and economic output. Indeed, can we consider looking at how to rearrange Nigeria?”

He argued further, “If the leaders in the nation march to the National Assembly with a document on full fiscal federalism which will be put into motion within six months, Naira will appreciate to N650/$. Fiscal federalism will follow with Regional Police (not state police) to combat vices that are territorial.”

There have been renewed calls for restructuring the country, which some argue would make the country more productive.

During the campaign for the 2023 presidential election, the winner, President Bola Tinubu, had promised restructuring. But last week, he said he is not in a rush to restructure the country.

The National Publicity Secretary of the Afenifere, Mr Jare Ajayi, quoted the president saying a good foundation must be laid before bringing the restructuring in place such that if it is done in a rush without a proper foundation, the restructuring may collapse very soon but it would be done.

“I do posit that we could return to that heritage if we organize around regions. The best “raise” to fight for Naira now is fiscal federalism where every region will keep whatever it earns, and pays taxes to the federal government,” Ekekwe added.

  • SF Giants’ top options to replace Beck in starting rotation

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — With Tristan Beck set to undergo surgery Monday, the leak already sprung in the San Francisco Giants’ rotation morphed into a gaping hole.

Set to enter the season with a group behind Logan Webb that had combined to make 23 major-league starts, manager Bob Melvin has even less he can count on now in his inaugural starting rotation. Finding a fifth starter becomes priority No. 1 in Melvin’s first camp as San Francisco’s skipper.

The best options exist outside the organization. After working with Scott Boras to secure a discount deal with Matt Chapman, perhaps they could do the same with either of his two remaining starting pitching clients, Blake Snell or Jordan Montgomery. Between Joey Bart, J.D. Davis and their glut of outfielders, the Giants also have trade chips to play with, though a top-line option such as Dylan Cease would also require a haul of prospects.

But, if they break camp with the current group intact, here’s a look at the likeliest candidates to fill the final slot.

    Mason Black, RHP

    Age: 24

    Roster status: NRI

    Experience: Triple-A

    2023 stats (AA/AAA): 29 appearances (29 starts), 3.71 ERA, 123.2 IP, 155 K, 52 BB, .219 BAA

The most satisfying outcome internally would be for one of the next crop of Giants pitching prospects to step up and seize the job.

Black, the 85th overall selection in 2021, stands the best chance of the group in camp that includes Hayden Birdsong, Carson Seymour, Landen Roupp and Carson Whisenhunt. The cerebral, smiley righty from Scranton, Pennsylvania, is the only one of the five to have reached Triple-A and this spring is unburdened by workload restrictions.

Black’s two-seam fastball has some rising action, which gives it a unique profile but also means mistakes can be hit a long way, which is what Ehire Adrianza did to Black’s first pitch of spring training. He regrouped and has allowed only one run in the four innings he’s thrown since.

“When the first ball didn’t leave the yard, I was little bit happy,” Black said after going three against the Padres on Saturday. “I think regardless of who fills that role, they’re going to help the team win. If that’s me, that’s what I’m trying to do. But I’m just going to hope for the best and try to take it one day at a time.”

    Sean Hjelle, RHP

    Age: 26

    Roster status: 40-man

    Experience: MLB

    Career stats: 23 appearances (0 starts), 6.17 ERA, 54.0 IP, 59 K, 21 BB, .314 BAA

Early on in camp, Melvin was asked about the 6-foot-11 former second-round draft pick.

“I’d hate to pigeonhole him,” the manager began, “but …”

And went on to do exactly that, laying out that the new regime mostly viewed him as a reliever, formalizing a transition that began last season.

In the wake of Beck’s injury, Melvin was asked again about Hjelle, 11-21 with a 5.51 ERA in 51 starts over three seasons at Triple-A.

“Well, we’re going to stretch everybody out to the point where they get a couple innings in, but I don’t think at this point we target him as a starter,” Melvin said. “Now, we’ll see where it goes.”

    Spencer Howard, RHP

    Age: 27

    Roster status: NRI

    Experience: MLB

    Career stats: 38 appearances (28 starts), 7.20 ERA, 115.0 IP, 109 K, 55 BB, .290 BAA

So far, the recipients of starts in the two vacant rotation spots this spring have been Black and Howard.

While Black brings promise, Howard brings experience, though his track record isn’t necessarily a factor in his favor.

Starting games for the Rangers and Phillies the past three seasons, Howard surrendered home runs almost every four innings, or about the same rate as Ross Stripling last season. And how did he introduce himself to his new new team? By serving up consecutive homers to the first two batters he faced in Cactus League play.

“That certainly catches your attention,” Melvin said afterward, though he penciled him in for a second start Monday.

    Daulton Jefferies, RHP

    Age: 28

    Roster status: NRI

    Experience: MLB

    Career stats: 14 games (10 starts), 5.75 ERA, 56.1 IP, 37 K, 14 BB, .276 BAA

Into the second rung of candidates, Jefferies faces a number of hurdles in his first season back from his second Tommy John surgery and an equally complex thoracic outlet procedure, but there’s some hope he can rekindle the potential that made him a first-round pick out of Cal.

Jefferies said he hopes to be stretched out to five innings by the end of camp, but given his health complications, Melvin said his role would be determined by how much his body can handle.

    Tommy Romero, RHP

    Age: 26

    Roster status: NRI

    Experience: MLB

    Career stats: 4 appearances (2 starts), 10.80 ERA, 8.1 IP, 7 K, 9 BB, .314 BAA

One of the Rays’ many openers in 2022, Romero failed to crack the Nationals’ dreadful roster in 2023 while posting a 5.47 ERA at Triple-A and beginning to pitch more out of the bullpen.

At every stop in the minors to that point, though, Romero posted ERAs below 3.00 while starting all but a handful of his games.

    Ethan Small, LHP

    Age: 27

    Roster status: NRI

    Experience: MLB

    Career stats: 4 appearances (2 starts), 8.71 ERA, 10.1 IP, 13 K, 10 BB, .370 BAA

When Small registered multiple 95 mph readings on the radar gun in his first appearance of the spring, it caught Melvin’s attention. “He’s got a lot of weapons. He’s got a lot of deception in what he does. And he’s got experience,” Melvin said.

The former Brewers’ first-round pick is expected to factor in more in the bullpen, where Taylor Rogers is the only certain lefty, but Melvin opted to throw Small for two innings in his second outing of the spring, and he had been a fairly successful starter at every level of the minor leagues until last year.

  • ‘SNL’ pokes fun at Biden’s age in cold open

“Saturday Night Live” poked fun at President Biden’s age in its latest cold open as its cast impersonated some of the president’s closest allies to argue that Biden is not too old to serve another term.

The latest NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” opened with a parody of CNN’s “Inside Politics” with Dana Bash, played by Heidi Gardner. Gardner kicked off the mock program with Michael Longfellow, who played California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D).

“I understand that people care about the president’s age, but what they should care about is his record. Look at what Joe Biden has done for America. He’s created more jobs than any president in history. Inflation is down. The Shamrock Shake is back and Beyoncé has gone country. Thank you, Joe,” Longfellow said.

Gardner asked her guest whether Biden can make the case for himself with the “speed and sharpness that someone like you can.” Longfellow appeared to poke fun at Newsom and several allies of Biden by arguing that behind closed doors, the president is “incredible.”

“Dana, he — Joe can do it better. I was just with him and behind closed doors, Joe is incredible. Yesterday we had a big meeting about the border and God, he had such command,” the Longfellow said. “He had charts, tables, PowerPoints, he had an interactive AR display on the Apple Vision Pro – that he programmed himself. The software might be in beta but the man — he’s in alpha.”

When Gardner noted that people call Biden “Sleepy Joe,” Longfellow responded: “Well he has to sleep Dana!” before adding that “even when he’s sleeping, he’s on.”

“The other day he was taking a nap and I whipped a baseball at him and he caught it like De Niro in ‘Awakenings.’ Lightning quick,” Longfellow said.

The scene then cuts to Ego Nwodim playing White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. She displayed portions of Biden’s mock schedule, including a 7 a.m. Soul Cycle class that “he leads,” a speed chess match in the park at 8:30 that he wins by 8:32, and a meeting with the Joint Chiefs where he wins a push-up contest.

“Hello Dana, pleasure to be with you to talk about the most vigorous man I’ve ever known, Joe Biden,” Nwodim said, which was met with a  “Really?” from Gardner.

“Absolutely. I was just with him and behind closed doors, he’s a whirlwind,” Nwodim said.

The cold open also included Marcello Hernández playing the Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, who described Biden’s trip to the border last week. Hernández defended Biden, again arguing that behind closed doors, Biden is “dynamo.”

“This weekend we both went down to the border town in Brownsville, Texas. And Joe went into beast mode. He said we’re going to tighten this border. Look how easy I can cross it. Then he parkoured up to the top of the border wall, pro-flipped into the Rio Grande and came back up with a fish in his mouth. But you didn’t report that because it doesn’t fit your little narrative,” he joked.

Before the end of the segment, Longfellow tried to video call Biden, played by Mikey Day.

“Hey, hold on, I’m just going to turn up the volume — just gotta find a button. There we go —” he said before ending the mock call.

  • WATCH: Guatemalan Suspect Smuggling Fellow Illegals Crashes During Pursuit Topping 120 MPH in Texas

Illegal alien driver slams into multiple vehicles at busy intersection during dangerous chase near southern border

A high-speed pursuit in Texas ended when a Guatemalan suspect smuggling fellow illegal aliens slammed into multiple vehicles after reaching speeds of more than 120 miles per hour, authorities say.

The harrowing incident unfolded in Maverick County on February 23, but the Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) just released details and footage this week.

TxDPS troopers were attempting to pull over a suspicious Dodge Durango on US-277 when the driver swerved into the shoulder lane and sped past multiple cargo trucks.

A TxDPS helicopter tracked the speeding SUV as it flew down the rural highway towards the city of Del Rio in Val Verde County.

Troopers were unable to neutralize the fleeing vehicle with spike strips before it reached the outskirts of the city.

The driver wove through traffic before briefly slowing down as the SUV approached a busy intersection.

It appeared the driver would blow through the intersection, but suddenly the Durango struck multiple vehicles and came to a halt.

Law enforcement officers swarmed the Durango with weapons drawn and pulled out six people.

The driver, an illegal alien from Guatemala identified as Diego Perez De Paz, and an alleged accomplice from Houston were both arrested and charged with smuggling of persons.

De Paz was also charged with evading arrest.

Four illegal aliens being transported in the vehicle were turned over to U.S. Border Patrol.

Dangerous smuggling pursuits unfold constantly along the U.S.-Mexico border, as InfoWars frequently reports.

  • Community welcomes former SF Giants pitcher Jake Peavy at Chico Nuts’ 25th annual Spring Fever event – Paradise Post

CHICO — For the last 25 years, the Chico Nuts American Legion Spring Fever event has been a large draw for baseball fans throughout Northern California, and Friday night was no different.

The event is a key fundraiser for the Chico Nuts, Chico Suns and Chico Rice teams, raising money for travel, tournament fees and other expenses.

A packed crowd at the Chico Elks lodge welcomed enthusiastic and charismatic guest speaker Jake Peavy — a former pitcher for the San Francisco Giants, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox and San Diego Padres — as Peavy signed autographs for fans, took photos, shared conversations, then spoke to the crowd.

(Justin Couchot/Enterprise-Record)

“I think the biggest thing in an autograph session like that is it’s nice when people are patient, because you don’t like to run through everybody,” Peavy said. “You like to have a few words with someone in line. It’s just fun hearing where everybody’s from and the effort that they made to come out, and you have a lot of young aspiring players come through.”

Peavy shared a couple of highlights from the hour-long autograph session, including an elderly woman who came through and talked about how much the Giants’ 2014 World Series victory was a highlight of her life. An 8-year-old boy told Peavy that 2014 was the year he was born.

“I love connecting with people. I’m a social creature,” Peavy said. “So getting the chance to meet Giants fans that appreciated what I was a part of is a pleasure.”

    Life lessons

When speaking to the crowd, Peavy shared a plethora of stories from his 15-year career as an MLB player after being drafted out of St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Mobile, Ala. He then shared some of the most important messages the community, coaches and players needed to hear.

His main message to the youth was to remember that baseball is supposed to be fun, so be sure it is. Remember that life is about experiences, so enjoy them. Peavy also told the players about the importance of being a good teammate, encouraging one another, and the importance of staying locked in in key situations of the game.

For the coaches and fans, Peavy said the No. 1 job is to encourage. Don’t just tell a kid they could not lay down a bunt and how it could have changed a game if they did, but tell them how they can do better the next time they’re in that situation. The game of baseball isn’t always about wins and losses, but it is about learning. Peavy said to the crowd that his best pitching coach ever told him day in and day out that he was better than he was, and eventually that mindset stuck.

Peavy shared that his brief time in Chico had reminded him a lot like his home in the southern, rural part of Alabama. Peavy is the latest speaker at the Spring Fever event, which has featured players and coaches such as Will Clark, Dusty Baker, Ryan Vogelsong, Jeremy Affeldt, J.T. Snow, Rich Aurilia, Brooks Robinson, Bruce Bochy and Hunter Pence. Many have reached out, and when they brought it up to Peavy, they said how great of a time it was.

“The people of Chico love baseball, and in and around this area you can certainly feel that,” Peavy said. “The town showed up. Look at this room; it’s full, which is wild to think about.

“I certainly didn’t know it would be this big of an event, but this has been long standing now. That’s pretty remarkable when you talk about half of the century we’ve been doing something here, and for American Legion and for the youth to have the ability to continue to play baseball and that be promoted, great night all around.”

Dinner was served following a silent auction, which featured items from Chico businesses, local sports teams, and even trips.

Peavy, who learned of the event from past speakers such as Bochy and Pence, was thrilled to see the support of Chico showing up for its baseball community.

“Look at this room: It’s slammed with people who are supporting each other and causes and being here for each other,” Peavy said. “That’s what America is about in my opinion.”

    Awards

Chico Nuts outfielder/utility player Landon Sable was honored prior to Peavy speaking as this year’s recipient of Mr. American Legion, an award given to a player who exemplifies character and leadership, and who represents the Nuts’ organization the way the leaders envisioned it. Many would consider it similar to the Willy Mac Award the San Francisco Giants give out each season.

Sable, a Sutter High School graduate now grey-shirting at Sacramento City College, spent two summers with the Nuts organization.

When Nuts head coach Brian Thomas was asked about why Sable was the deserving honoree this year, he mentioned first that his character is “top notch.”

“He was there every day, and he had to travel at least 45 minutes,” Thomas said. “That was one thing, and the other thing was how he held himself and the way he commanded the defense, in the dugout, and when we were doing room checks at night, he was always someone that you can count on who was going to be doing the right thing.”

Thomas shared a story about Sable that shocked both Thomas and the head of the Nuts’ organization, Tom Stevens. Sable’s high school team won the CIF NorCal Division IV championship on June 3, 2023, and in the following days, the town of Sutter was throwing a parade for the Huskies. The parade happened to take place on the first day of summer practice for the Nuts, and Sable showed up to practice in Chico. The day it happened, Thomas and Stevens looked at Sable and said, “What are you doing? You need to be on the back of a parade float!”

Sable responded with, “Hey coach, it’s baseball time. I committed to the team and I’m ready to practice.”

Thomas continued: “We were like, ‘How awesome is that?’ How he would take away from a celebration that he should have been at, because he was such a big impact for that school. It was crazy to see it all unfold, but it was special.”

Past winners of the Mr. American Legion award include Jackson Blakely last year, Troy Moench in 2022 and Mateo Martinez in 2021.

  • JR Majewski drops out of Ohio House GOP race

JR Majewski, a controversial congressional candidate, confirmed that he will be dropping out of the Ohio House Republican race.

Majewski, an Air Force veteran, already mulled ending his bid earlier this week, just days after early voting started in Ohio, but solidified his decision in a post on Saturday.

He shared the announcement on X, formerly known as Twitter, where he blamed the “deep state” and said that former President Trump did not ask him to end his bid.

“While I know I would win, and have a great shot in the general election now that my record was cleared, it is inevitable that the Deep State will do whatever it takes to fight against me,” Majewski said. “Even going as far as attacking my family and once again accusing me of stolen valor.”

Majewski said the “best way” for him to fight for the people “who feel as if their voices are being ignored by the DC Elite” is to “dedicate” his energy to backing Trump in his 2024 presidential race.

    2024 Election Coverag

Majewski was the GOP nominee in 2022 when he was endorsed by Trump, but his campaign fell into an irreversible downturn after it was revealed he lied about serving in combat in Afghanistan. He also faced backlash after using an ableist slur during a podcast appearance in February.

After joining the race last April, hoping to unseat Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-Ohio), he dropped out in May, citing his mother’s health. Majewski later rejoined the race.

The Ohio GOP primary is slated for March 19. The District has leaned Democratic in the past, but the new congressional map changed the prospects, giving the GOP a better opportunity to challenge Kaptur’s seat.

  • WTF: Democrat Lawmaker Proposes ‘Child Sex Dolls’ for Pedophiles

Kentucky State Senator argues that “child sex dolls” will curb pedophiles’ urges to abuse children in the real world.

A Kentucky Democrat State Senator left her colleagues in disbelief after arguing in favor of providing pedophiles with “child sex dolls” to discourage them from acting on their impulses against children in real life.

State Senator Karen Berg in her argument before the legislature refused to use the term “pedophile”, instead opting to use the term “minor attracted persons.”

“…there are what they call ‘MAPS,’ minor attracted persons and – the limited amount of research that’s done on these dolls suggests that they actually, for people who are attracted to minors, that these dolls actually decrease their proclivity to go out and attack children,” Berg argued in video obtained by Robby Starbuck.

    !function(r,u,m,b,l,e){r._Rumble=b,r[b]||(r[b]=function(){(r[b]._=r[b]._||[]).push(arguments);if(r[b]._.length==1){l=u.createElement(m),e=u.getElementsByTagName(m)[0],l.async=1,l.src=”https://rumble.com/embedJS/u4″+(arguments[1].video?’.’+arguments[1].video:”)+”/?url=”+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+”&args=”+encodeURIComponent(JSON.stringify([].slice.apply(arguments))),e.parentNode.insertBefore(l,e)}})}(window, document, “script”, “Rumble”);

    Rumble(“play”, {“video”:”v4e0lux”,”div”:”rumble_v4e0lux”});

“It actually gives them a release that makes them less likely to go outside of their home and what was interesting is the research did not support the same conclusions for people who were adult-attracted using dolls,” Berg added.

Adult-attracted? Must be a new term Democrats plan to use more in the future.

    • Winter Sun Plus is NOW 40% off! Boost your natural defenses with this powerful vitamin D3 and K formula!

During her bizarre explanation, Berg admitted that “research is not very good and it’s not comprehensive” on the matter of sex dolls helping to curb child sex abuse before immediately claiming that “the research that is out there is conclusive.”

Fortunately, the GOP has an 82% majority in the Kentucky Senate so Berg’s insane proposition to aid in pedophiles’ fantasies isn’t going to make any headway.

In related news, Democrats in Colorado just shut down a bill that would institute the death penalty for criminals found guilty of child sexual abuse and human trafficking.

Why are Democrats so quick to defend pedophiles?
