  • PSG reach agreement with Man United winger Jadon Sancho

Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly reached an agreement in principle with Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, according to Sports Zone.

The report states that the Red Devils would be willing to sanction the England international’s sale in exchange for a €60m transfer fee.

Sancho joined United in 2021 from Borussia Dortmund in a high-profile €85m transfer and has a contract running until 2026.

However, he spent the last season on loan at Dortmund, where his impressive performances caught PSG’s attention.

Notably, Dortmund managed to eliminate PSG in the Champions League semi-final, further highlighting Sancho’s impact.

With Kylian Mbappé’s departure, PSG is actively seeking a new winger.

Although an agreement for Sancho has been reached, Sports Zone reports that he is not PSG’s top priority.

The French giants are also pursuing other options, including Rennes’ Désiré Doué and Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams.

PSG has already submitted a €60m bid for Doué, who is also a target for Bayern Munich.

Jadon Sancho might be back in Erik ten Hag’s good books but it would not be surprising to see him leave as United want to raise significant income through sales this summer.

And so, the 24-year-old winger, though back in United’s plans, could still be on the move, with PSG emerging as a realistic destination.

This potential transfer marks another significant shift in Sancho’s career as PSG looks to bolster their squad following Mbappé’s exit.

With the summer transfer window in full swing, the coming weeks will reveal whether PSG can finalise the deal or if they will turn their focus to other targets.

  • Besiktas ‘make a move’ to sign Antony

    Antony

Manchester United have made a strong start to the transfer window by securing the signatures of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro.

The club is now focusing on bringing in additional talent, targeting players such as Manuel Ugarte from PSG, and Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich.

On the outgoing side, United has already parted ways with Donny van de Beek, Willy Kambwala, Mason Greenwood, Alvaro Fernandez, and Omari Forson.

Centredevils previously relayed a report that the club’s hierarchy plans to sell at least seven big-name players, including Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Mason Greenwood.

Besiktas make a move for Antony

And now, recent developments indicate that Besiktas have ‘made a move’ to sign Antony, according to Turkish journalist Ertan Suzgun.

While United is open to selling Antony, the player himself reportedly prefers to remain at Old Trafford.

Nevertheless, a report from talkSport claims that Antony is high on the list of potential sales for United this transfer window.

The club’s strategy is driven by the need to trim the wage bill and generate funds for a planned rebuild under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

This rebuilding process has already seen the departures of Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial, with other players on substantial contracts also expected to leave if suitable offers come in.

Antony’s case to stay at Manchester United further deteriorates as Amad has shown excellent form lately. He was great last season in his cameos and has been really good in the preseason so far.

Antony’s underwhelming performance at United last season has made his future at the club uncertain, and he could be set to leave after just two seasons.

  • Inter Milan reject offer to sign Manchester United defender

    Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi

Serie A giants Inter Milan have been relatively busy in the transfer market already ahead of the new campaign.

The Milan based team have brought in six names already – including the likes of Mehdi Taremi, Piotr Zielinski and Davide Frattesi.

And it seems that they’re in the market for more signings.

Specifically in the defensive part of their squad.

Up until this point, Netherlands right-back Denzel Dumfries has only a short time left on his contract.

Observers have been wondering if the player will stay or if he will leave.

Either way, it makes sense that Inter would have a succession plan in case he was to go.

One of those plans apparently included signing a defender from Manchester United.

And new reports from Italy seem to indicate that they no longer are looking in that direction. In fact, Inter Milan have reportedly rejected an opportunity to sign the player.

According to the printed version of today’s La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have actually now reached an agreement for a contract extension for Dumfries.

Due to that, Inter have made it clear that they do not want to sign Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka after being offered to him.

Wan-Bissaka is set to leave the club this summer, with it now seemingly the case that he’ll likely end up at West Ham United.

Not only have La Gazzetta made this clear, but today’s Corriere dello Sport also report that an agreement has been reached between Dumfries and Inter Milan.

According to that paper, Inter were not interested in any proposition for Wan-Bissaka.

Instead, they were more interested in Monaco’s Vanderson, who they thought would fit the club better.

So it seems that any move to Serie A for Wan-Bissaka will not happen. At the very least, it will not happen at Inter Milan.

  • Update provided on Leny Yoro injury

    Leny Yoro

Manchester United faced another injury blow as Rasmus Hojlund and Leny Yoro limped off during their 2-1 friendly defeat to Arsenal in Los Angeles.

Manager Erik ten Hag, who dealt with 66 individual cases of illness or injury from last season, expressed concern, especially about Yoro’s muscle injury.

The 18-year-old Yoro, United’s most expensive summer signing at £59 million, left the field after 33 minutes, visibly distressed.

Meanwhile, Hojlund, after scoring United’s only goal, appeared to pull his left hamstring while stretching for the ball and left the stadium walking gingerly.

His availability for United’s next pre-season match against Real Betis is now in doubt, as per Times Sport.

According to Times Sport, Yoro’s injury might be more serious, although Ten Hag refrained from specifying a timeframe for their recovery since neither player’s injury had been scanned yet.

The report also states that Ten Hag left the SoFi stadium last night concerned that Leny Yoro will be out for a considerable period because of the muscle injury he suffered.

Clubs typically wait a day before conducting scans on injuries to allow swelling to decrease for an accurate assessment.

Rumors suggest that Yoro’s injury might keep him out for at least 1 to 2 months, which is significant if true.

This would mean United definitely needs to sign one more center-back before the end of the transfer window.

United secured a 4-3 victory in a post-match practice penalty shoot-out, with Jakub Kiwior and Kai Havertz missing for Arsenal, while Ethan Wheatley was the only United player to miss.

Jadon Sancho, who impressed as a second-half substitute, scored the decisive penalty for United.

  • Rasmus Hojlund provides two-word injury update

    Rasmus Hojlund

Manchester United have started their pre-season tour of the United States, however not in the way they hoped. The match saw them lose 2-1 to Arsenal and have Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund limp off with injuries.

The match saw Hojlund help United take an early lead in the tenth minute with an assist from Marcus Rashford.

Fifteen minutes later though, Arsenal hit back with a Gabriel Jesus goal set up by Ethan Nwaneri.

The game remained in deadlock until the 81st minute where Gabriel Martinelli managed to beat Andre Onana, securing Arsenal’s victory.

Jonny Evans and Erik ten Hag have recently commented on the injuries, speaking to Sky Sports and United’s official website.

Jonny Evans and Erik ten Hag comment on Hojlund’s injury

Speaking to Sky Sports about the injuries, veteran defender Jonny Evans said: “You don’t want any injuries, especially in pre-season.

“It’s one of the biggest things you’re trying to avoid while also getting fit at the same time.

We don’t know how bad the injuries are. Muscle injuries aren’t great. Rasmus hinted it was his hamstring. I’m not sure about Leny yet.”

Taking to Manchester United’s official website, the Dutch manager spoke about the potential injuries.

When quizzed about the incidents, ten Hag commented: “Of course it is too short [to know about their injuries] and we have to wait over 24 hours, then we will hopefully know more.

“We were careful especially with Leny as he only did 50 per cent of the [training] sessions.

“He has to come up but let’s be positive and see what comes out.”

    Hojlund provides his own update

Following the comments of his teammate and manager, Hojlund provided his own update on his situation.

While walking through the mixed zone after the game, reporters asked him for an injury update, to which he replied, “We’ll see.”

Whilst this doesn’t provide anything to substantial to work with, it does suggest that the striker was likely taken off as a precaution rather than needing to be removed, giving hope to ten Hag’s campaign..

    What this means for United

Naturally ten Hag will be hoping that any injury is minor, with the Red Devils set to play Real Betis on Wednesday at the Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego.

With Hojlund and new signing Joshua Zirkzee being the only senior strikers, if Hojlund’s injury is worse however, this will put a lot of pressure on the new boy as United’s only option up top.

However, Zirkzee is currently on holiday following Euro 2024 and so Hojlund is the only match-ready striker going into United’s Community Shield match against Manchester City on 10th August.

  • Manchester United “meet agents” of target, Fabrizio Romano reveals

    Fabrizio Romano

Manchester United are looking to improve their right back options this summer, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka looking increasingly likely to depart soon.

The second-choice right back has already received interest from West Ham United and AC Milan. However, United are seemingly negotiating a player-swap deal with Inter Milan who have been long term fans of Wan-Bissaka.

The Red Devils are looking at Inter’s Kristjan Asllani as a potential solution to their defensive midfielder problem, to replace Casemiro.

To replace Wan-Bissaka, United have been looking at Noussair Mazraoui of Bayern Munich and Denzel Dumfries of Inter Milan.

However now, the Red Devils appear to be advancing their pursuit of another target.

Fabrizio Romano provides update on Vanderson pursuit

Romano has spoken on his YouTube channel about another United target, AS Monaco’s Vanderson.

Commenting on the Monaco star, Romano said: “The third right-back Manchester United could consider is the Brazilian right-back, Vanderson,”

He continued: “He is considered at the moment probably too expensive because Monaco at the moment want an important money for Vanderson. But the Brazilian boy is on the list of many clubs.

“Tottenham have met his agents. Manchester United met his agents. So there is interest in Vanderson and it’s concrete, so let’s see what is going to happen on this situation.”

With the pair of Premier League teams interested in the star, it looks likely that Vanderson will be moving to England this summer, however time will tell if that’s to London or Manchester.

  • Tyrell Malacia hospitalised following injury in Marcus Rashford’s car

    Tyrell Malacia and Marcus Rashford

Tyrell Malacia is not having much luck lately with injuries.

Last season the left-back was ruled out for extensive period through injury, with United stuck with very little choice for covering the gap.

First choice left-back Luke Shaw was ruled out much like his deputy, leaving right-backs Diogo Dalol and Aaron Wan-Bissaka to cover.

Now, close to his return to team training, the star has had a brush with a medical team yet again.

Malacia and Marcus Rashford in car crash

According to The Sun, the incident risking Malacia’s return to the pitch happened earlier this month on 16th July.

While out with Marcus Rashford and a friend of Rashford, the United duo were hit by a suspected drunk driver.

The trio were in Rashford’s Range Rover with the unnamed friend driving. Whilst Rashford was sat in the back, Malacia was in the passenger seat when the black Mercedes hit them.

    The report from Cheshire Police

Cheshire Police confirmed that officers attended the scene of a collision between a black Mercedes C220 AMG and a blue Range Rover Sport earlier this month.

They added that a 55-year-old woman was held at the scene whilst two men were taken to hospital.

After running some medical checks, Malacia was swiftly released from hospital with a clean bill of health and resumed training the next day.

Although, of course, Rashford was not responsible for this incident, he seems to frequently encounter issues in his personal life.

The incident took place only two days before Rashford was given a six-month driving ban for speeding.

The forward was caught driving at 104mph on the M60 in his £560k Rolls Royce but claimed he was driving above the speed limit out of fear he was being chased.

Rashford also insisted that he is followed all the time. The incident took place on December 12, less than two months after the Englishman crashed his super luxurious Rolls-Royce.

Rashford travelled with United squad to Los Angeles for pre-season on Wednesday, while Malacia remained in the UK to recover from last season’s injuries.

Malacia and Rashford have become really close friends, often partying and holidaying together on off days.

  • Shola Shoretire set to join surprise new club

Manchester United’s record breaking former midfielder Shola Shoretire is looking likely to sign for a new European team.

After nine years at Old Trafford, the 20-year-old parted ways with United this summer, now down as a free agent at the end of his contract.

The attacking midfielder held the record for the youngest ever player to play for United in a European competition. Shoretire was handed his debut for the Red Devils and European opener by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with the star playing Newcastle and Real Sociedad in the Europa League back in February 2021 at the age of 17.

With the youngster originally showing a lot of promise, United have tried for months to renew Shoretire’s contract, with the midfielder ultimately choosing to leave Old Trafford.

Now, Shoretire’s next club may be revealed.

Fabrizio Romano comments on Shoretire’s next club

Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano has commented on X that the young free agent has had a whole host of interest from England, Spain, the MLS and Saudi Arabia.

However, reports claim that Shoretire has verbally agreed with Greek side PAOK to join them next season.

It’s expected that the youngster will travel to Greece next week to sign the contract, with the free agent able to start immediately. With the star having no club at this time, all that is needed for Shoretire to start at the club is a written contract of the agreed terms

For United’s reserve squad, Shortire scored 32 goals and grabbed 20 assists in 71 games and showed his versatility by playing on both wings, in attacking midfield, centre midfield and centre-forward.

This versatility and attacking prowess is something that PAOK will be hoping can strengthen their squad to defend their Super League 1 title this coming season after winning it last season for the first time in five years.

  • Tom Heaton praises Manchester United’s new goalkeeper coach

    Tom Heaton

Veteran keeper Tom Heaton has made comments of working under new goalkeeping coach, Jelle ten Rouwelaar.

With so much change at United this season, those remaining at Old Trafford are getting used to new game plans, tactics and coaching styles.

Off the pitch, United has seen the hiring of Jason Wilcox, Omar Berrada and Dan Ashworth, whilst closer to the players on the pitch, Rene Hake and Ruud van Nistelrooy have joined the coaching staff as assistant managers.

Alongside the Dutch duo, Andreas Georgson and Jelle ten Rouwelaar have been hired to Erik ten Hag’s coaching team as set-piece coach and goalkeeping coach respectively.

Ten Rouwelaar has recently been promoted to head goalkeeping coach with seasoned coach Richard Hartis leaving the Premier League club.

Now, with the pre-season underway, the Red Devils are now experiencing their first few sessions with the new coaches.

Heaton shares thoughts on Jelle ten Rouwelaar

Since returning to Carrington for the pre-season, United’s third choice keeper, Tom Heaton, has been working under ten Rouwelaar.

Both men are now in the United States as part of the Red Devils’ USA tour, with ten Hag’s side taking on Arsenal on Sunday.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Heaton said: “I’ve really enjoyed the sessions. They are different.”

He continued: “He works more on cognitive basic calls, where it’s making you think quite a bit. So on my first warm-up day, he and I went out for half an hour and it was a lot of opposites.

“So there’d be a blue cone, a yellow cone, and it was a case of doing the opposite — if he shouts blue you have to go to yellow.

“Then he passed me the ball and if he said right, it’d be left, and then the progression would be left, left, but the first one wouldn’t be an opposite and the second one would be an opposite.

“I was like; ‘What?’ But it’s good. It does make you think so you’re not just going through the motions.

“I think you can see that games are changing a little bit. It’s less off the cuff now. Teams are very structured in terms of what they do in their press, whether they press with one man, two, three.

“So you’ve got to work it out, you’ve got to count their numbers. You’ve got to count the numbers in your back line and ask; ‘Are we going big, are we going short, where are they coming from, who’s looking to jump?’.

“So I think the training is based around being more perceptive of what’s in front of you.”

Heaton’s praise of ten Rouwelaar’s techniques clearly shows the change that is already being felt at the club which will hopefully show improvements on the pitch.

  • Erik ten Hag reacts to a fan’s dream signing question

    Erik ten Hag

Manchester United continue their active pursuit in the transfer market, with one enthusiastic young fan taking the opportunity to directly ask Erik ten Hag for updates on potential signings.

The club has already bolstered its squad with the acquisitions of Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee, with more additions anticipated before the transfer window closes.

Reports suggest that United have reached personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte, but the clubs have yet to agree on a transfer fee for the player.

Despite securing Yoro from Lille, United remains on the lookout for a new centre-back.

Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite was a target, but the Toffees have stood firm on their £70m valuation, rejecting multiple bids.

Another name on United’s radar is Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt.

Ten Hag’s reaction sparks conversation on social media among fans

During a recent interaction, a young fan asked Ten Hag for an update on De Ligt’s potential move.

The fan inquired, “Erik, when is De Ligt coming?” Ten Hag’s coy response, “You want him?” sparked significant reaction on social media.

Fans shared their excitement, with one commenting,

“Imagine the depth at the back we’d have if we sign him.”

Another said, “I love what I’m hearing,” while a third added, “We are 100% getting De Ligt.”

A fourth fan expressed anticipation, stating, “can’t wait for him as well. He will help Yoro develop so well.”

Speculation initially suggested that signing Yoro might have concluded United’s interest in De Ligt.

However, Erik ten Hag recently clarified that the deal remains a possibility.

Addressing rumors of his preference for Dutch players, Ten Hag remarked to AD Sportwereld, “It remains to be seen whether De Ligt will come.

“I know Matthijs well and I will not deny that. I wanted to sign him two years ago, but at that time, he was already very far along to join Bayern Munich (from Juventus).

“But believe it or not, his name did not come from me in the process (of targeting signings).”

The ongoing transfer activities at United continue to keep fans and pundits alike on their toes, as the club aims to strengthen its squad for the upcoming season, after they had their worst season ever in the Premier League last year.
