  • Two incredible stats sensational Kobbie Mainoo holds already this season

Two games in to the new Premier League season and United have a mixed bag of results.

Their 1-0 win against Fulham in their opening game saw the Red Devils start the season with a win.

Ultimately the game was decided by substitutes Alejandro Garnacho and Joshua Zirkzee with the pair linking up for a debut day goal for Zirkzee.

Unfortunately this weekend’s game wasn’t the same for the Red Devils with Brighton winning 2-1 in extra time. Joao Pedro’s 95th minute winner actually extended a record of Erik ten Hag’s United side in having more extra time winners scored against them than the 1992 to 2022 squads combined.

The 30 years prior to ten Hag’s appointment as manager only saw two winning goals scored against United after the 90th minute. Whereas Brighton’s winner marked the sixth time it has happened to ten Hag’s squad.

However, two positive stats for the Red Devils comes in the form of rising star Kobbie Mainoo.

The defensive midfielder has now registered the most interceptions out of anyone across the first two Premier League fixtures, stopping the ball getting through on 10 occasions.

Also Mainoo is second in the league with another stat, that of completed take-ons, having successfully got past 8 players. Only Mohammed Kudus has more with 9.

These impressive performances have shown why ten Hag is building his squad around the youngster.

Mainoo is currently also nominated for the Golden Boy award this year alongside teammate Alejandro Garnacho. No doubt performances like these will he helping the star rise up through the shortlist for the prestigious award.

  • Manchester United already line up two transfer deals after signing Manuel Ugarte

Recent news surrounding the move of Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain to Manchester United suggest the deal is as good as done.

Fabrizio Romano reported recently that whilst United were looking at a loan-to-buy offer, the sale of Scott McTominay would support a permanent move for Ugarte.

The Red Devils agreed terms with Napoli over the weekend for the £25 million sale of the Scotland international.

However, United already have two transfers they’re determined in making after Ugarte arrives at Old Trafford.

With deadline day taking place this Friday, the Red Devils are running out of time to get their deals across the line.

United set on two more deals

Before the summer is over, United are determined to part ways with Hannibal Mejbri and Jadon Sancho.

The sale of Mejbri appears to be the further along of the two with Burnley set on signing him as a replacement to Sander Berge.

A permanent move has now been agreed between the two clubs, with a sell-on clause included for any future transfer of Mejbri.

However, the Sancho deal seems to have a lot more moving parts.

Firstly we have Juventus. The Italian club have been consistent in their interest in Sancho throughout the summer. Unfortunately though a bid for the winger relies entirely on their ability to sell Frederico Chiesa.

This comes with its own hurdles, with Chiesa looking at a move to Barcelona, however their financial situation is blocking them from registering Dani Olmo, let alone signing any new players.

Closer to home, Chelsea are also keen, with the club looking at using Ben Chilwell and Raheem Sterling in a swap deal.

Now Chilwell has been a previous target of United, with the Red Devils considering him as a solution to their left-back problem.

However Sterling wants to sort out contract discussions with Chelsea first. The winger is not against a transfer to United, with the star being a childhood fan of the Red Devils.

With these two sales a priority to complete by deadline day, United will need to act fast on any offers made to the club.

  • Bayern Munich now interested in signing Manchester United attacker

The transfer window is only open for another four days before close with the ever exciting transfer deadline day.

As a result the clock is ticking for Manchester United who still have a number of stars they still want to offload.

Although Scott McTominay is now set for Napoli, the Red Devils are still looking for a new home for Jadon Sancho, Victor Lindelof and Hannibal Mejbri.

Whilst there is little interest in Lindelof at the moment, Burnley look like front runners to beat Leeds United in signing Mejbri.

However the main excitement lies with Sancho.

The England international has had interest from a number of clubs including former club Borussia Dortmund and French champions PSG.

However, at the moment, the race seems to be between Juventus and Chelsea.

News emerged of Chelsea wanting to offer Ben Chilwell and Raheem Sterling in a swap-deal, whilst Juve are waiting on the sale of Frederico Chiesa to make a move.

However, reports are now coming in of Bayern Munich entering the race.

According to journalist Graeme Bailey for HITC, Bayern are interested in the winger as a replacement for Kingsley Coman, if then can complete the sale of the French winger.

Bailey also revealed that Borussia Dortmund are back in the picture, but only if they can pick him up on loan.

It’s unsure if a loan-to-buy would be considered, but for now they can’t battle with Bayern in a permanent move for the attacker.

  • Premier League club reach agreement for Hannibal Mejbri

Manchester United appears poised to part ways with Hannibal Mejbri in the final days of the summer transfer window.

The club has shown a willingness this summer to permanently sever ties with some of their highly-rated young talents.

Notably, Will Fish recently joined the ranks of Alvaro Fernandez, Willy Kambwala, and Maxi Oyedele, who have all permanently exited Old Trafford.

Fabrizio reveals Hannibal Mejbri is joining Burnley

According to Fabrizio Romano, Burnley has reached a verbal agreement to sign Hannibal Mejbri from Manchester United.

The Tunisia international is set to undergo medical tests today, with the deal between the clubs already concluded.

The agreement is structured as a loan with a mandatory buy clause, which could see Mejbri permanently leave the Red Devils.

    Mejbri’s poor displays last season

Earlier this year, Mejbri was loaned out to Sevilla for the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign.

In a June interview, he expressed his frustration over limited playing time last season, which ultimately led to his move to La Liga.

Unfortunately, his stint in Spain did not go as planned, and he returned to Manchester on the back of a disappointing spell.

Man United interested in cashing in on Mejbri

The new season at United has brought little improvement for the 21-year-old.

Erik ten Hag only gave him one start during pre-season, and he has not been included in the matchday squad for any of United’s first three competitive fixtures.

With Mejbri entering the final year of his contract, United is reportedly keen to cash in while they still can, preferring a permanent transfer unless a loan deal would better address their financial sustainability concerns.

Burnley, currently in the Championship, is looking to strengthen their midfield following the sale of Sander Berge to Fulham, and Mejbri has emerged as a key target.

Meanwhile, United is also exploring the possibility of selling Scott McTominay and Jadon Sancho, with Napoli interested in McTominay and both Juventus and Chelsea linked with Sancho.

This situation highlights United’s willingness to offload players who may not be part of their long-term plans as they navigate the complexities of squad management and financial considerations in the current transfer market.

  • Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United now hold an embarrassing record

Holding a record in the world of football is always an exciting thing to have, if it’s for the right reasons.

Manchester United as a club have held a truly impressive set of records, both as a team and with individual players.

The club hold the record for most amount of Premier League titles won with 20 since its inception. As expected, United also have the most Premier League match wins with 745 games won.

The Red Devils have also recorded two of the top goal differences in a single match with 9-0 wins over Ipswich and Southampton in 1995 and 2021.

New coach Ruud van Nistelrooy also held the record for most consecutive Premier League games scored in, with a run of 10 games in the 2002/03 season.

However some records don’t last forever, with van Nistelrooy’s being broken by Jamie Vardy in Leicester’s fairy tale 2015/16 season which saw them win the league.

Well Erik ten Hag will be hoping that one of his records won’t last after an embarrassing stat has emerged.

Since taking on the managerial role are Old Trafford, ten Hag’s side have conceded three times as many extra time winning goals as United have in the previous 30 years.

Between 1992 and 2022 the Red Devils only let in two goals which have won a game past the 90 minute mark.

However, ten Hag’s time in charge, thanks to Joao Pedro’s headed winner for Brighton in the 95th minute, have conceded six extra time winners.

Whilst ten Hag will be hoping that somewhere in the future this record will be broken, United fans will be hoping this is one record ten Hag keeps.

  • EAFC 25 Manchester United squad player ratings revealed

The start of a new season means the newest edition of EAFC is on its way with EAFC 25.

After rebranding from FIFA last year, the newly named football franchise is set to hit shelves on 27th September 2024.

So, with its upcoming release, we’re already getting treated to some of the player ratings for this season’s Manchester United squad.

So far only seven have been revealed, with Antony, Rasmus Hojlund, Kobbie Mainoo, Joshua Zirkzee, Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes getting their ratings.

The ratings range from 77 to 87, with Antony and Mainoo given 77, Hojlund then at 78, and new boy Zirkzee with Garnacho on 79. Then comes Rashford with 81 and finally the club captain, Fernandes, with 87.

As for their different individual ratings, Antony’s stand out stats are his 82 pace and dribbling, whilst he next highest at 72 is his passing and physicality.

Next is Hojlund, with a pace of 85 and physicality of 84 he has some strong base stats. However, with shooting at 77 and passing as an awful 59, they aren’t the best stats for United’s top striker of last season.

Then we have rising star Mainoo. His clear standout stat is dribbling at 81, however his passing stat of 74 seems quite low for the Golden Boy nominated youngster. Interestingly though, Mainoo is the only one of  the five to not have a single stat under 66.

Next up is new signing Zirkzee, another impressive dribbler with 83, with a shooting stat of 77. His pace and physicality are consistent with 73 for each.

Then we have wonderkid Garnacho. 86 pace and 81 dribbling he has got to be happy with, but his physicality of 59 is quite low.

Rashford is next with an incredible pace of 89 and shooting of 83, a better shooting star than both strikers.

Finally we have Fernandes as the top rated of all seven. His remarkable passing has got him a stat of 88 with 85 for shooting, showing why Erik ten Hag is happy using him USA a back up striker.

The key takeaway here really is that United don’t have a single striker rated over 80, simulating concerns raised by Roy Keane of not having a prolific goal scorer up top.

This is a developing story with more details to follow soon.

  • Manchester United summer signing makes debut for club

There have been a lot of players coming into Manchester United this season.

Leny Yoro is the most expensive and high profile of the lot.

Yoro joined United from Lille in a move around €62m.

But he wasn’t the only name in the doors.

    And the recruitment hasn’t stopped.

The next arrival into Old Trafford is expected to be Sekou Kone.

Of the players brought into the club, one of the names made his debut for the club yesterday.

You may not be too familiar with the name just yet, but Dante Plunkett joined the club in the summer from Aston Villa.

Plunkett is a left-back and joined United from the Birmingham side’s academy.

He has been signed for the under-18s and made his official debut for the side in yesterday’s 2-0 win over Manchester City under-18s.

The youngster was brought on as a substitute in the closing moments of the game as United were reinforcing their defence to see out the victory.

Dante Plunkett will be hoping that he can continue to be involved in a series of victories and catch the attention of the senior setup.

Left-back has been a particularly problem area for Manchester United over the years.

Luke Shaw, undoubtedly the best English left-back, has been hampered with injuries throughout his career.

Tyrell Malacia, brought in to add another option, hasn’t played for the senior side in what seems forever.

This has meant that Erik ten Hag has had to revert Diogo Dalot to that position in the opening league games.

Harry Ammas is another young left-back prospect that everyone is really excited about.

Dante Plunkett will be hoping that he will also be able to get to a level where Manchester United see him as a part of their first team squad in the future.

At just 16, the youngster has time on his side.

  • Fabrizio Romano denies Manchester United bid for midfield star

    Fabrizio Romano

Fabrizio Romano is easily one of the most well regarded journalists when it comes to transfers  in the sporting world.

Whenever there are rumours surfacing around targets, most people are waiting for one of his famous “here we go” before believing the deal.

Unfortunately for Manchester United fans, the Red Devils are still waiting for the famous catchphrase confirming the signing of Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain.

Now, Romano has provided an update on the move, as well as a sneaky insight into one of United’s apparent other targets.

His recent update claims that the deal is now just waiting on the green light from United, with the Uruguayan wanting a move to Old Trafford all summer.

However, his other insight is regarding Atalanta’s Ederson.

Recently it’s been reported that while United staff were attending Atalanta’s headquarters to sort out paperwork regarding Rasmus Hojlund’s transfer last summer, they used the opportunity to submit an offer.

Reports from Alfredo Pedulla claim that United made a bid of £42.4 million (€50 million) for the midfielder, with Atalanta rejecting the offer.

However, the update from Romano says “no bids for Atalanta midfielder Ederson, full focus only on final steps of Ugarte deal.”

This could be that Romano is saying that there is no further intention of bidding for Ederson after their rejected offer. However, it could be that he is in fact suggesting that the reported bid never actually happened and United only enquired about the midfielder.

Whichever one of these interpretations is right, one thing is clear from Romano, there are no planned offers to be made for Ederson between now and the end of deadline day.

  • Fabrizio Romano reveals Manchester United could now sign midfielder on permanent deal

    Manchester United

Well Fabrizio Romano has spoken once more on the Manuel Ugarte deal, with a massive update hinging on one of Manchester United’s midfielders.

The saga of Manuel Ugarte to Manchester United has lasted for pretty much the entire summer, however as the transfer window comes to a close, the closing of the deal is in sight.

Previously United have been trying for a loan offer with obligation to buy at the end as a way of kicking the cost of his signing down the line to next summer. However, United may not have to be so evasive, and may be able to go for the permanent transfer which PSG would prefer.

Romano recently reported that the only thing holding the deal back now is the green light from the Red Devils. However, a new update from him hints at the reason why United have been stalling.

Romano claims PSG are reliant on Scott McTominay

The king of the transfer window, Fabrizio Romano, has now reported that the deal for Ugarte is incredibly close and is set to close any time, with the potential of a permanent deal relying on Scott McTominay.

It’s recently been reported that a deal for McTominay between Napoli and United has finally been agreed for £25.4 million (€30 million) has finally been agreed. As a result, with the Scotland international already agreeing to personal terms to a four year contract, a medical assessment is due to be arranged as soon as possible.

So, if all goes well with McTominay’s move to Napoli, the funds from this will allow for United to sign Ugarte on a permanent deal this summer.

This signing will be the first midfield signing of the summer, however Ugarte has been their priority signing throughout.

  • Victor Lindelof’s partner sends cryptic transfer message

    Victor Lindelof

With transfer deadline day upon us, time is running out for for clubs to either complete deals for their summer targets or to sell off their unwanted stars. One such star for Manchester United is Swedish defender Victor Lindelof.

Recently it was announced that United have four players they want to offload before September.

One member of the list was Scott McTominay who has been the centre of interest from Napoli as front runners. Today the Serie A side had their most recent offer, matching United’s asking price, accepted by the Premier League side.

Elsewhere Jadon Sancho looks likely to be heading to Juventus, but only if Juve can complete a sale for Frederico Chiesa to generate the funds for Sancho’s hefty salary. It’s also come out that Chelsea are considering the winger, potentially offering Ben Chilwell and Raheem Sterling for the former Borussia Dortmund man.

Next is Hannibal Mejbri, who is in the middle of a two team battle to bring him to the Championship, to either Leeds United or Burnley.

However, our fourth man, Victor Lindelof hasn’t received much interest that’s been reported since Fenerbahce earlier this summer.

This makes it even more interesting that his partner has taken to Instagram with what could be a very cryptic message.

Posting a couple of pictures of some packed suitcases, geotagged as in Manchester, Maja Nilsson Lindelof captioned the post with a aeroplane emoji and the words “here we go”.

Now ultimately this could mean nothing with her being a digital creator and ambassador for UNICEF she is used to travelling around the place.

However, it’s peculiar that in the dying stages of the transfer window, with it known that United are looking to sell Lindelof, she’s used Fabrizio Romano’s famous catchphrase to confirm a transfer is happening as her caption for her travel.

If this is a cryptic clue of movement in the centre-back’s career, no doubt we’ll have an official “here we go” soon.
