  • New iPads with Upgraded Chip Expected This Week

    iPad 10 Colors

Apple launched the iPhone 15 series at its ‘Wonderlust’ event on September 12, 2023. While there were no signs of the new iPads during that event, it seems the Cupertino-based tech giant is all set to launch its next iPad lineup. According to Supercharged and 9to5Mac, the new iPads are likely to be released soo

ner than expected. Since the updates for iPad Air and iPad Mini are indeed due, the October timing makes complete sense. If you’re curious to know when the new iPads are coming, what models are in the pipeline, and what to expect from new iPads, we’ve got you covered. Here’s everything you need to know about iPad 2023 models.

According to sources, Apple won’t hold a dedicated event for the new iPads, instead, they will be announced via announcements on the website, YouTube, and a press release. The giant followed the same strategy for the M2 iPad Pro and even the M2 Pro & M2 Max MacBook Pro models.

    New iPads Expected This Week

As for now, we can expect a new iPad, iPad Air, and iPad Mini. We’ve summed up all the important changes that we might see in the new models. Here you go!

    iPad Mini 7

    iPad Mini 6

The iPad mini 6 sports an A15 chipset and the new iPad mini 7 is expected to house an A16 chipset, offering slight performance upgrades over the current model. Several sources suggest that Apple is working to address the jelly scrolling issue seen on the iPad mini 6 while scrolling in portrait orientation. If rumors are to be believed, Apple plans to rotate screen assembly to reduce the jelly scrolling effect.

    iPad 11th-gen

    ipad 10th gen

Apple refreshed the entry-level iPad lineup in October 2022, making it the most recent of the lineup. The 10th-generation iPad brought some exciting changes to Apple’s most affordable iPad, including a Touch ID side button, a revamped design thin bezels, and new colours. The current model packs an A14 Bionic chipset. At the moment, we do not have any concrete information about which processor the 11th-gen iPad will use. That said, if the new iPad mini 7 is expected to pack an A16 chipset, we can expect the same for iPad 11 as well.

iPad Air 6th Generation with M2

    iPad-Air-5

The iPad Air lineup was refreshed in the spring of last year. The current iPad Air houses an M1 processor and offers a nice performance. Several sources, including Supercharged report, suggest that the new iPad Air 2023 may come with the M2 processor. The jump from M1 to M2 would offer upgraded performance, greater efficiency, and more.

Will there be a 2023 iPad Pro?

Talking about the iPad Pro, we aren’t going to see a new model at the moment. The iPad Pro lineup was last updated in October 2022. And the next-generation model isn’t likely to make a debut until next year. That said, Apple might surprise its fans with an upgraded display and powerful innards. According to several leaks and rumours, we might expect the next-gen iPad Pro models to feature OLED screens, for the first time.

When are new iPads coming out?

Both Supercharged and 9to5Mac believe that the new iPads will be released on October 17, 2023, via press release. The new models are expected to offer minor upgrades with powerful and optimized processors. Unfortunately, we aren’t going to witness any major design changes. In addition to new iPads, we might also see a modified version of the first-gen Apple Pencil with a USB-C port instead of the Lightning one.

However, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has said in his weekly newsletter that while he reported in July that Apple will launch new iPads in October this year, he doesn’t see it happening this month anymore. On the other hand, the Japanese publication Mac Otakara has mentioned that Apple is on the verge of announcing the new Apple Pencil third generation with magnetic tip instead of the new iPads.

Therefore, we recommend our readers to take this with a pinch of salt and wait until the official announcement.

So, that was all about the new iPads that are coming in 2023. Are you excited about the upcoming Apple 2023 iPads? Don’t forget you drop your views in the comments below.

  • Who is Ginny in One Piece? Explained

The latest One Piece manga chapter 1095 took us to the most anticipated God Valley flashback. Longtime One Piece fans know exactly how long we have been waiting to learn more about this legendary incident. Now, author Eiichiro Oda is finally revealing the whole truth about God Valley by including some of the greatest characters we never thought were present there in the first place. Among the list of characters, we have been introduced to a new female character called Ginny (also referred to as Jinny by fans).

One look at Ginny and her behavior has the fans chattering. She is speculated to be the mother of the main character, Luffy. Did that pique your interest? If so, keep reading to discover who Ginny is and whether she is related to Luffy or not.

Spoiler Warning: This article contains spoilers about the story and the characters in One Piece. We suggest you watch the anime and read the manga (up to chapter 1095) to avoid ruining the intended experience.

The Introduction of Ginny in One Piece

One Piece chapter 1095 presented us with the expansion of Bartholomew Kuma’s backstory; lots of new intricate details about his past were revealed. One of the major highlights was that Kuma was the last survivor of the Buccaneer race. Kuma was enslaved by the Celestial Dragons and, as a result, was taken to the God Valley. We even got to see a young St. Garling Figarland in this chapter. During this incident, Kuma meets Emporio Ivankov and a young girl named Ginny in chapter 1095.

Jinny/Ginny's introduction in chapter 1095 in One Piece
Image Courtesy – One Piece by Eiichiro Oda (Chapter 1095, Viz Media)

This event disclosed that Ivankov was a slave before becoming part of the Revolutionary Army in One Piece, just like Kuma. Ivankov along with Ginny introduced themselves and were surprised to see a member of the Buccaneer race. That’s where we first get to see Ginny eating a piece of a large piece of meat and smiling wide. Remember this point as it serves as a parallel to establish a connection with our beloved main character. She uttered the following words to Kuma, “Big Bro here is pretty big himself, don’t you think?” You can learn more about her relationship in the sections below.

Is Ginny Luffy’s Mother in One Piece?

    Luffy eating meat.
Image Courtesy: One Piece by Toei Animation Studios (Fandom)

Before this chapter was released, the spoiler readers started speculating that she was the protagonist Luffy’s mother. The main reason was that Ginny had a big grin on her face similar to Luffy, along with the way she was seen tearing into that piece of meat. Even Ginny’s eating style resembled Luffy’s, as we have tried to indicate in the image above. These facts together made some of the fans believe that we have finally got the long-awaited reveal of Luffy’s mother.

We know that Monkey D. Dragon was the one who recruited both Kuma and Ivankov to the Revolutionary Army. Then, it is likely that he also recruited Ginny, as this trio was seen together at God Valley. Their age also seems to match and suit this theory. Furthermore, if she was Luffy’s mother, then Ivankov would have acknowledged Luffy as Ginny and Dragon’s son when they had first met or even during the Marineford war arc (one of the best One Piece arcs). But that didn’t happen.

So, I highly think we are on the wrong track, and the revelations in the upcoming chapters will confirm the same. Ginny is sure to play an important role in the upcoming chapters, but that role won’t develop into her being Luffy’s mother. It’s because her characteristics match perfectly with another character, who is also at Egghead Island. Did you guess who that is? If not, it’s none other than Jewelry Bonney.

Is Ginny Bonney’s Mother (Kuma’s Wife)?

    Bonney's introduction in One Piece.
Image Courtesy – One Piece by Toei Animation Studios (Fandom)

So why is Ginny perfectly suitable for the role of Jewelry Bonney’s mother/ Kuma’s wife? Let me explain! One Piece chapter 1095 revealed that Kuma will befriend Ginny along with Emporio Ivankov. In the next OP chapter, together they are expected to escape from being slaves, well, of course, with some help from Monkey D. Dragon (read what D stands for in One Piece).

In the present timeline, Ginny is nowhere to be seen in the One Piece story, which means she must have lost her life shortly after marrying Kuma and Bonney’s birth. If she were alive, we would have seen her working alongside her husband in the Revolutionary Army.

So, if you remember, Jewelry Bonney was introduced the same way as Ginny when she was seen eating a big piece of meat and her favorite pizza in One Piece. Next is Ginny’s name, which rhymes with Bonney’s name perfectly. What we are about to say next may seem silly but when Bonney infiltrated Mary Geoise, she went by the name Connie, which points out the naming style for their family. These together with the story focusing on Kuma’s character, suggest that Kuma and Ginny tied the knot and led to the birth of Bonney.

The voracious appetite, similar characteristics, and relation with Kuma stay cohesive and make the fact that Ginny is most likely Bonney’s mother and Kuma’s wife in One Piece. The fan-colored spreads also paint Ginny’s hair pink, just like Bonney. However, we have to wait for the color spread of chapter 1095 to get an official confirmation.

But at the end of the day, these are just speculations and more light will be shed on this new mystery in the next chapter. In the meantime, what do you think about Ginny’s character? Which side are you on, Is Ginny Luffy’s mom or Bonney’s mom? Let us know your opinions in the comments below.

If you grew up in the early-mid 2000’s (or even beyond) and ended up getting into fighting games, there’s a pretty strong chance you followed Yu-Gi-Oh at some point too.

Two of the biggest names in fighting games with multi-game Evo champion Justin Wong and top commentator Jeremy ‘Vicious’ Lopez were recently featured on the official Yu-Gi-Oh channel to compete against each other in a new Master Duel Deck Flexing series with the help of Yugitubers Team APS.

Before getting to the deck profiles, both players reveal they were fans of the original Yu-Gi-Oh anime with JWong saying he even used to take his Elemental Hero deck to locals back in the day.

Appropriately, they’re taking the themes back to those early sets with Vicious busting out the Dark Magician and Dark Elf as his big beaters with Justin going full Seto Kaiba with his three Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

As someone who’s followed online and competitive communities for both (though mostly the FGC), it’s interesting to see a crossover like this going down, but this also isn’t the first collaboration between the scenes.

You can check out the full episode of Deck Flexing below featuring Justin and Jeremy, and let us know in the comments what your favorite Yu-Gi-Oh decks and cards were growing up (or now if you’re still playing).

  • Top 100 MR ranked characters in Street Fighter 6 after giving A.K.I. time to settle in with only 2 missing the party

It’s been about two and a half months already since Street Fighter 6 first introduced MR ranking system to try and give players more to strive for beyond just grinding League Points.

Now that A.K.I.’s been given some more time to settle into the game as the latest DLC character, we’ve decided to go through and see who all is (and isn’t) up there in the top 100 MR.

At the time of reporting, Lightspeed is the number one in the world with 2,313 MR right now with Cammy, and interestingly, over half of all the Cammys present in the list are in the top 20.

That doesn’t mean she’s the most popular girl at the ball, however, as that honor now apparently falls on Luke with 13 players doing exceedingly well with him.

In fact, he’s shown the most growth in that regard from the last time we looked at the highest ranks two months ago when he wasn’t even in the top 5.

Chun-Li has also seen a decent boost too up to third place with 11 players in the top 100, but while Ken is slightly better with 12, his overall numbers have actually gone down from last time.

Similarly, JP isn’t even in the top 3 after losing a few numbers (though he isn’t that far off).

We actually had one A.K.I. crack the top 100 with Japan’s Hikaru taking her to 18th overall already.

Meanwhile, DFM|John Takeuchi has managed to take his Rashid all the way up to number 4 overall, which is pretty darn impressive.

The current top 10 is points are made up of Cammy, Chun-Li, Rashid, Kimberly, JP, Dee Jay and Lily with the only repeats being Chun and Cammy.

Out of the now 20-character roster, the only two left out completely were Ryu and Zangief with the grappler coming fairly close to the cut considering DNG|Itabashi Zangief has him up to 104th right now.

Statistically speaking, we can also see that just over half of said roster is technically underperforming in terms of representation, but those spots need to be taken up by somebody.

You can check out a breakdown of the top 100 MR ranked characters for Street Fighter 6 below.

    • Luke – 13

    • Ken – 12

    • Chun-Li – 11

    • JP – 10

    • Juri – 9

    • Cammy – 8

    • Marisa – 7

    • Dee Jay – 6

    • Dhalsim – 5

    • Blanka – 3

    • Guile – 3

    • Manon – 3

    • Rashid – 3

    • E. Honda – 2

    • Kimberly – 2

    • A.K.I. – 1

    • Jamie – 1

    • Lily – 1

    • Ryu – 0

    • Zangief – 0

  • Here’s a look at all NPC characters in Mortal Kombat 1 including Janet Cage

During the story mode of Mortal Kombat 1, the player is forced to fight against a number of NPC characters. Although Quan Chi and Ermac won’t be officially playable until Winter 2023/2024 and Spring 2024 respectively, the story mode offers a sneak peek at these fighters through special battles with them.

As it turns out, a modder known as Ermaccer has already created a mod that allows the player to use the NPC characters that appear in the story mode, and even a few that don’t. A video has been uploaded to YouTube by SHAAR that demonstrates what these fighters are actually capable of.

Of course, Ermac and Quan Chi are among the NPCs that have been made playable through this method. Just like how they’ve been depicted in the story, their playstyles are most reminiscent of how they played in Mortal Kombat 9.

Similar to how Tanya was changed up from an NPC to a DLC combatant in Mortal Kombat X, we can probably expect Ermac and Quan Chi to play radically different compared to how they do with mods enabled.

Recently, we learned that the Johnny Cage Kameo that was originally planned as DLC for Mortal Kombat 1 has been replaced by “Janet Cage.” Though the character barely had any real influence on the story, Janet Cage did briefly appear in the Mortal Kombat 1 single player story towards the end.

Strangely enough, it’s actually possible to access Janet Cage, though it’s worth noting that she just plays like Johnny Cage. There’s also a Cyber Smoke character that is effectively just Smoke in terms of gameplay.

Perhaps the oddest NPC characters found in the code are female versions of Ermac, Reptile, Scorpion, and Sub-Zero. Check it all out in the video below:
