  • Elon Musk Considers Blocking X in Europe Due to Regulations

Could you imagine a future in Europe without Twitter, one of the world’s most popular social media networks? Well, now known as X, Elon Musk’s social media could soon be removed from Europe due to the company’s inability to deal with the ongoing regulations. Recently, EU officials wrote to Elon Musk to remind him of his company’s legal obligations regarding to the European Commission’s Digital Service Act. However, a person close to Elon Musk states he would rather block X to the whole region and make the X app unavailable for Europeans than comply with the rules.

X (Formerly Known as Twitter) is a powerful tool for misinformation to spread – EU wants a Change

The latest round of debacle stems from the recent events in Israel where people would often see a series of posts with disinformation, which still goes unchallenged on social network. Video game footage is being used as breaking news, and old videos from Syria are being recycled as new one just to get views and start a trend.

According to journalists and researchers, X is “borderline useless as a news source because it contains so much disinformation. In some cases, antisemitic hate speech and posts glorifying terrorism can go through the social media totally unnoticed. Moreover, Musk himself has reportedly shared posts from accounts spreading racist content and conspiracy theories.

    X

People familiar with the matter believe that if Musk blocks Europe, the website’s traffic will fall by around 9%. That would bring some trouble to Musk’s administration. After all, the network’s daily usage is reportedly already 40% down in some regions since he took over the helm.

What is the European Commission’s Digital Service Act?

The Digital Services Act significantly improves the mechanisms for the removal of illegal content. It also aims to effective protect users and their fundamental rights online, including the freedom of speech. The primary goal of the DSA is to fooster safer online environments. With the new rules, online platforms must implement ways to prevent and remove posts containing illegal goods, services, or content while simultaneously giving users the means to report this type of content. The DSA went into effect on August 25, 2023 with giants of the tech segment like Google joining and complying with the rules. However, X incorrectly fails in complying with the new rules.

What happens if platforms don’t comply? Why Elon Musk Might Remove X from Europe

Online platforms that don’t comply with the DSA’s rules may see fines of up to 6 percent of their global turnover. With the report pointing that Musk wouldn’t accept such rules, then the company could see drastic fines being applied. A platform continually refusing to comply could result in a temporary suspension in the EU.

Right now, X keeps working fine on Europe, but that could change in the near future if nothing changes.

  • Tired of losing to Ken? Top Street Fighter 6 player in the world AngryBird releases anti-Ken guide

Amjad “NASR|AngryBird” Al-Shalabi is the man to beat right now when it comes to Street Fighter 6. He’s the reigning Evo champion and thus arguably the top Ken player on the planet, so it should come as an exciting bit of news that he’s released a video on how to fight and defeat his character of choice.

Ken is regarded as one of the absolute best, most commonly used, and most frustrating to fight against characters in all of SF6, so getting some insight from the top dog is wonderfully helpful. If you have trouble dealing with Ken’s Jinrai kicks, Dragon Slash, his rush down, and more, this latest upload from FGC Birds is very much for you.

The first move to be placed under the microscope is the aforementioned Jinrai kick. This is where Ken spins around for a quick kick, and can then proceed into either an overhead or low kick follow up. Many Ken players use this for mix up pressure, but understanding where you can interrupt is key.

AngryBird explains how the light version of Jinrai kick (which can be discerned from the medium version via audio cue) can be interrupted easily, or even punished heavily if it’s done from too far away. Life will surely change for many once they stop letting online Ken users get away with fake pressure and mix ups.

Things go a little more in Ken’s favor if he’s using the slower and heavier versions of the move, but there are still more than likely moments when you’re letting him continue pressure instead of checking him when he’s at disadvantage.

The second move AngryBird gets to is the dreaded Dragonslash, the leaping kick that Ken uses to close distance and garner yet another mix up in your face.

The champ’s wisdom here? The aggressor is playing a guessing game right along with the defender, and the latter should keep this in the forefront of their mind.

Ken is only +1 after a blocked Dragonslash, meaning that while he does have advantage, he’s really only got limited options: jab or throw (you also see a lot of neutral jumps here to bait defensive throws). Checking with a jab of your own will lose only if Ken immediately jabs here, but will cleanly beat his throw and will give you enough time to react with an anti-air if he jumps.

There’s a lot more to the video and we’ll let Angry do the teaching, but will note that you can sort of use this guide as a barometer to see where you are as a competitive player.

If the idea of going into training and understanding frame data or listening for audio cues to be able to discern strengths of moves sounds like more work that SF6 is worth, that’s okay, just know that you’re going to hit a ceiling in terms of your growth.

If you’re willing to dig into to the game at those kinds of levels, however, you can start upping your win rate against frustrating top tiers like Ken in no time.

  • Can You Play as Venom in Spider-Man 2? Explained

Insomniac has finally released Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and with it comes a bunch of new things upgraded from the original. While you can read our Spider-Man 2 review for the full scoop, our focus today is on one of the game’s main villains. No doubt you have already deduced that we’re talking about Venom. A big question that many have is whether you can play as Venom in the game. Well, to find out the answer, we suggest keep reading as we tell you if you can play as Venom and go on a rampage.

Spoiler Warning: This post includes massive spoilers for the final act of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 game. Proceed at your own risk.

Can You Play As Venom in Spider-Man 2?

To answer your question, yes, you can play as Venom in Spider-Man 2. However, this is only for one mission that happens during the end of the game’s second act. The mission is titled “Don’t be Scared” and takes place in Oscorp Tower.

Once Peter has successfully gotten the symbiote suit off him, he takes it to Harry and tries to convince him to abandon it. However, sick and almost dying, Harry puts it on anyway and fully transforms into Venom. This is where you, the player, get the opportunity to play as Venom as you try to escape Oscorp Tower.

After escaping the tower, the player Venom engages in a gigantic boss bottle against Kraven the Hunter. The entire boss fights and the section, in general, is quite amazing and satisfying to play. However, as mentioned above, you can only play as Venom once during the entire game, so make to savor this time and make the most of it.

How to Get the Venom Suit in Spider-Man 2

Besides getting to play Venom in Spider-Man 2, players get the chance to secure and don the Venom suit as Peter Parker in the game. The game is a linear adventure and follows certain paths players must walk to get to the suit.

To get the Venom Suit, you must finish a particular mission that gives you the Venom Suit in Spider-Man 2. This mission is called “Good Men” and is the 15th mission in the game. As you can see yourself, the mission is around the 50% mark, so you must play for a few hours to get this suit.

Can You Play as Venom in Spider-Man 2? Explained

In the mission, Good Men, Peter, and Harry head out to Kraven’s secret base after discovering the Hunters have kidnapped Mary Jane. The latter was trying to locate Dr. Connors, aka The Lizard, a reformed criminal. As you might have read from our review, Kraven the Hunter is slowly eliminating all current and former supervillains in an attempt to find the biggest prey. Kraven thought if forcefully converted to the Lizard, Dr Connors would fight him.

However, before the fight can begin, Peter tries to stop Kraven but is instead mortally wounded by the former’s knife. After being carried to a nearby area, Peter succumbs to his injuries. However, before he can die, Harry accidentally transfers his Venom powers to Peter, which brings him back to life and fully heals him. This, in turn, also gives Peter the Venom suit and all of its amazing powers.

Once players finish the Good Men mission, they get the Venom Suit in Spider-Man 2. Furthermore, as you keep playing, you slowly unlock the best Peter Parker abilities, which include symbiote powers. Even if you equip the best Peter Parker suits for Peter Parker, you can still use the Venom suit.

Is There a Way to Unlock Venom Earlier in Spider-Man 2

Unfortunately, the only way to unlock Venom in Spider-Man is by following the sections above. As such, you won’t be able to gain access to the suit or its powers before finishing the above missions. As we mentioned before, the game follows a traditional story path, which is very linear in nature. So we advise you to play the game and enjoy the adventure as it comes to you. If you’re still curious about the game and its missions, then we have a comprehensive list of all the missions in Spider-Man 2 coming up, so stay tuned.

And that’s how you play as Venom in Spider-Man 2. • How to Find iPhone 15 with Apple Watch 9 Precision Finding

While the ability to use your Apple Watch to find your misplaced iPhone has been available for a long time, Apple has taken it a step further with the new iPhone 15 series and Apple Watch 9 & Ultra 2. Now, not only does your iPhone make a noise when you ping it with your Apple Watch, but you can now see exactly how far your iPhone 15 is using the new “Precision Finding” feature on your Apple Watch 9 and Ultra 2. Here’s how you can locate your iPhone 15 or 15 Pro using your Apple Watch with Precision Finding.

How Precision Finding Works on Apple Watch 9 & Ultra 2

At the Wonderlust launch event, Apple announced that the Apple Watch 9 and Ultra include the same upgraded Ultra Wideband chip you find on the latest iPhone 15 and 15 Pro lineup. The all-new “U2 Ultra Wideband chip” is the only reason you can use your Apple Watch Series 9 or Ultra 2 to get accurate directions to locate your iPhone 15 through precision finding.

Like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, ultra-wideband (UWB) is a short-range, wireless communication protocol that operates through radio waves. But unlike its counterparts, it operates at very high frequencies, a broad spectrum of GHz frequencies. and it can be used to capture highly accurate spatial and directional data.

How to Locate iPhone with Apple Watch Precision Finding

You need an Apple Watch Series 9 or Apple Watch Ultra 2 along with any model of the iPhone 15 lineup for the Precision Finding feature to work. Here is how it works:

    • Unlock your Apple Watch and press the Side Button to bring up the Control Center. Apple changed the way you open the Control Center on Apple Watch in watchOS 10.
    • Here, locate and tap the Ping iPhone tile, and your iPhone 15 will play a sound if it is within the range of the Apple Watch.
    Control Center on Apple Watch
    • Now, this is where things take a different route compared to the Ping My iPhone feature on older Apple watches and iPhones. Unlike the older models, you won’t only hear the sound played by your iPhone. Instead, your Apple Watch 9 will show a starry circle with the distance to your ‌iPhone.‌
    • Once you start moving toward your iPhone, the starry circle will disappear, and a black circle will appear, showing the distance and the direction you need to move toward.
    • As you move closer to your iPhone, the black circle screen will change to a green screen with a white circle that shows the exact distance between your Apple Watch and your iPhone in the center.
    Precision finding on Apple Watch
    • While finding your iPhone 15 or 15 Pro series models, your Apple Watch will give you continuous haptic feedback, indicating that precision finding is in progress.
    • The distance in the middle will change to “” once your iPhone is located, and the haptic feedback will also stop.
    Locate iPhone using Apple Watch

So yeah, you will no longer need to run around the house or look in each crevice of your couch to find your misplaced iPhone. Also, check out my iPhone 15 Pro Max review to learn more about the new features of Apple’s latest flagship, and share your opinion in the comments below.

  • Introducing the OnePlus Open: Open For Everything

After a lot of teasers and leaks, the OnePlus Open finally became official. It’s the first foldable phone from OnePlus, and the smartphone maker has made a valiant effort to make the device stand out from the rest.

To be exact, one of the primary highlights of the OnePlus Open is its design. It features a shorter and relatively wider book-style foldable form factor. Such a design enhances comfort and makes it easier to handle such a large-sized phone.

And before you ask, it’s based on the Oppo Find N3, which has also just dropped. But the OnePlus Open will be for more global markets.

Main Highlights of the OnePlus Open

There are a lot of things that make the OnePlus Open a great choice as a book-style foldable. Among them, these are the primary highlights:

Enhanced Displays for Top-Notch Viewing Experience

The OnePlus Open features a 6.31-inch panel on the external cover. It’s an LTPO AMOLED display with 2484x1116px resolution. OnePlus calls it Super Fluid LTP 3.0 screen, which comes with a dynamic refresh rate ranging from 10 to 120Hz. And it features a closer to the traditional aspect ratio, sitting at 20:9.

    OnePlus Open Unfolded

Besides, the external screen of the OnePlus Fold can reach 1400 NIT of typical brightness and 2800 NIT of peak brightness. And for the interior display, the device comes with a 7.82-inch Flexi-fluid LTPO 3.0 AMOLED screen. It, too, has a dynamic refresh rate, but the range is from 1 to 120Hz.

    Internal Screen OnePlus Open

The interior display features a 1.0758:1 aspect ratio, which is basically what makes the Open shorter and wider. Also, the brightness ratings of the display are the same as the external display.

    Eye-catching Design and Lightweight Build

OnePlus Open comes in two different color options. There’s the Voyager Black and Emerald Dusk. The latter is the classic OnePlus color that we’ve all seen in the past few releases. But what’s interesting is that the Emerald Dusk weighs 245 grams, while the Voyager Black is 239 grams. The weight difference is likely for different coatings.

    OnePlus Open Colors

But no matter which one you pick, you’ll end up with a lighter foldable device. To compare, the flagship foldable from Samsung, the Galaxy Z Fold5, weighs 253 grams. And you also get the classic OnePlus alert slider on the side.

    Lightweight Hinge OnePlus Open

That said, the design of the OnePlus Open doesn’t just prioritize comfort and looks. It also aims to make you more productive. When you unfold the device, you will be greeted with OnePlus Canvas. OnePlus says that it has been designed from the ground up to level up multitasking.

    Gizchina News of the week

    Multi tasking with OnePlus Open

Besides, OnePlus has also confirmed that 95% of the mainstream apps have support for the expanded display. You can also play with the active window by resizing it and converting the running apps into a multi-window setup. On that note, the internal display can have three windows at a time. And you can keep them in both horizontal and vertical views.

Top-notch Camera Configuration of OnePlus Open

With the OnePlus Open, OnePlus is pushing the boundaries on imaging. The foldable device comes with five cameras. They all feature Hasselblad tuning, making them more capable of taking some amazing shots.

    OnePlus Open Camera Configuration

On the back, the Open features a Sony LYTIA-T808, which is a brand-new 48MP “pixel stacked” sensor. It measures 1/1.43-inch and comes with a 24mm f/1.7 optically stabilized lens on the top.

Also, the LYTIA-T808 comes with dual-layer transistor technology. It’s essentially a redesigned pixel architecture that aims to offer better light sensitivity.

    Back Cameras

    There’s a 48MP 1/2-inch ultrawide sensor with 14mm f/2.2 lens and autofocus. The last camera on the back is a 64MP telephoto sensor with a 3 x 70mm f/2.6 stabilized lens.

The other two cameras of the OnePlus Open are selfie cameras. Its external display comes with a 32MP snapper, while the internal display features a 20MP selfie shooter.

    Flagship Specs of OnePlus Open

Under the hood, the OnePlus Open comes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. OnePlus has paired this flagship SoC with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of storage. And to power the internals, the foldable device has a 4805mAH battery with 67W fast charging support.

    Main Specs

OnePlus says that the battery can go from 1% to 100% in just 42 minutes. This means you don’t need to worry much when you find the phone’s battery at low levels. Also, the battery will easily offer you more than one day of use.

    Pricing Information

The OnePlus Open is available in a single configuration, which comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. And it’s available at £1,599 or €1,799. Currently, the phone is in the pre-order phase, which will end on October 26. After that, the phone will start shipping.

Those who pre-order the phone will get a free OnePlus Buds 2 Pro. Also, there’s a 10% discount for students. On that note, Open sales will begin on October 27. Fresh OnePlus Open owners will get 10% off on the OnePlus Pad and a 30% discount on Nord Buds 2, Buds Pro 2, and Buds 2R until November 30.

  • MELMO’s curvy Street Fighter Chun-Li and Cammy cosplay provides another stunning take on two iconic fighters

Street Fighter’s own Chun-Li and Cammy are not only two of the most popular characters in fighting games, they are video game icons. While Chun-Li certainly paved the way for her Street Fighter 2 comrade and the fighting females that followed, both world warriors are immensely popular and highly recognizable.

When it comes to cosplay, these two Street Fighter contenders are among the most frequently portrayed, but with designs and cosplay work as good as MELMO‘s, it’s pretty hard to get tired of seeing new depictions of them.

To kick things off (pun intended), let’s take a look at MELMO’s amazing Chun-Li cosplay. The inspiration for this look is taken from the powerful fighter’s design from back in the Street Fighter Alpha days, as opposed to her classic Street Fighter 2 look.

The first game in the Street Fighter Alpha series was released back on June 5, 1995. With this new (at the time) generation of Street Fighter, Chun-Li saw her updated look make its debut.

In the Alpha games, Chun-Li rocks a blue and yellow tracksuit with sneakers. We see her two hair buns return, only this time they’re held together with yellow ribbons.

MELMO’s Alpha Chun-Li gets everything right. The details in the costume, the hairdo, and the attitude all shine brightly here, and this cosplayer even goes the extra mile by hitting some of Alpha Chun-Li’s poses from various artwork to really make the work come alive.

This Chun-Li cosplay looks incredible, and MELMO looks stunning with this getup as well.

Though the majority of the cosplay we have here is of Chun-Li, MELMO also put together a depiction of Cammy. We see a battle-ready version of Cammy here, and this cosplayer even strikes Cammy’s most iconic win pose making for a top notch Cammy cosplay.

While Cammy wasn’t a part of the initial eight world warriors in Street Fighter 2, she would go on to join the fight in Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers which launched on September 10, 1993. Cammy joined the roster alongside T. Hawk, Dee Jay, and Fei Long.

MELMO’s cosplay work extends beyond Street Fighter, though. We also see an excellent portrayal of Honoka from the Dead or Alive series, which you can check out below.

Outside of fighting games, MELMO has cosplayed as Ulti from One Piece, Nobara Kugisaki from Jujutsu Kaisen, and many others. Be sure to head over to MELMO’s Twitter for more amazing cosplay.

  • Valorant ISO: Abilities, Release Date, Trailers, and More

The growing pool of Valorant agents expands further as Riot Games has officially released the trailer for ISO, the latest duelist agent, today. During the VCT 2023, Riot confirmed two new agents and instantly released Deadlock. While they confirmed that the other agent would be a duelist, we only recently got to see some teasers and posters for his abilities and presence. Finally, after a series of leaks, Riot has released the reveal trailer of Valorant’s latest duelist ISO. so, let us have a look at the trailer, abilities, and release date of ISO in Valorant.

    Valorant ISO Release Date

    valorant iso official image

ISO will be released with the upcoming Valorant Episode 7, Act 3 update, which is coming on October 31, 2023. The agent reveal trailer is already here (linked below), and the gameplay trailer will be released on 20 October 2023. We can also see ISO speaking Chinese in the trailer, which confirms his origins. ISO being a Chinese agent can possibly link to the origin of Omen as another Chinese agent Sage is also part of his lore.

    Valorant ISO Reveal Trailer

The ISO reveal trailer is here. In this trailer, he is shown as an assassin who is hired by a mystery entity to wipe out a scientist and some guards. At the end of the trailer, we also see this mysterious individual giving ISO the task of assassinating Valorant agent Omen (go read our Valorant agent tier list while you are here). Apart from that, we hear the guards talking about ISO, mentioning him as a bulletproof wizard. And well, with his abilities out in the open, we understand why that is the case.

    Valorant ISO: List of Abilities

As a duelist, ISO was speculated to be focused on gunplay and sharpshooting. With the reveal trailer, Riot has cemented that and declared him an assassin but instead of taking up arms like Chamber, he’s more focused on protecting you against enemy fire. Let’s check out all of ISO’s abilities here:

    Contingency (C)

    Contingency

You can equip this ability to assemble a prismatic energy. Once done, press fire to send forward an indestructible wall of energy. This wall blocks bullets and destroys itself after reaching the endpoint. Sounds overpowered?

    Undercut (Q)

    Undercut

ISO equips a molecular bolt that you can throw in a direction. It travels in a straight line, and the bolt applies a brief fragile effect to all the enemies it touches. This fragile effect applied by ISO is similar to Valorant agent Killjoy’s alarm bot. You can throw this molecular bolt through any object. This includes boxes, structures, or even walls.

    Double Tap (E)

    Double tap

Tapping the signature ability button will start a timer called the focus timer. During this timer, you enter a flow state wherein if you kill an enemy, they generate an orb similar to Reyna’s orb. If you shoot the orb, it grants you a purple shield. While you are in this shield state, you can evade any damage once, including Raze’s showstopper (shown above) or an instance of Sova’s hunter’s fury.

    Kill Contract (X)

    Kill Contract ability Iso

ISO creates an interdimensional arena in the Valorant battlefield using his ultimate. Once it is activated, you can launch a column of energy through the battlefield. This pulls you and the first enemy it hits into an arena. In this arena, you and your enemy stay until one of you wins the duel by combat. No other player cannot interface until the duel is over.

So that’s pretty much everything we know about Valorant’s 24th agent called ISO, who is the newest duelist, right now. We will learn more about this Chinese agent in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. What are your thoughts on ISO in Valorant? Does he look overpowered or will he emerge to be underwhelming like Deadlock? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

  • Some of the easiest and most ridiculous 100% and infinite combos in fighting games

Infinites and 100% combos are nothing new in fighting games. A lot of times, it takes strong execution and the correct resources to pull one of these insanely hard-hitting sequences off.

However, much like the balance of life, there have also existed infinite combos and 100% touch-of-death (TOD) sequences in fighting games that were ridiculously simple and easy to perform. JMCrofts’ latest video delves into some of the most “casual” 100% combos in fighting games and not only showcases them, but also discusses how they’re done and how they work.

JMCrofts kicks off with a TOD combo from Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 that isn’t quite as well known as others. Everyone in the game can utilize 100% combos if they have X-Factor in play and have enough super meter, but that’s not quite what we’re looking at here.

This combo uses Arthur and only requires five bars of meter and the rest of his team to be knocked out in order to set it up. With this criteria in place, Arthur can uses his level 1 super over and over again from full screen away, and as JMCrofts demonstrates, its execution involves simply pressing one single button repeatedly until the combo runs its course and the opponent is KO’d.

We also see the infamous “one button” Ibuki infinite combo from Street Fighter 3: New Generation on JMCrofts’ list here. Essentially, Ibuki’s close standing heavy kick would launch the opponent into the air, and as long as she can remain close enough to hit the normal again, she could do it indefinitely until her foe’s life bar was completely drained.

But both of those titles are on the older side now, and you’d think easy 100% combos would be a thing of the past, right? Well… Dragon Ball FighterZ’s most infamous DLC character, Android 21 (Lab Coat), also had some very easy TODs that she could perform thanks to the unique trait found within her grab super.

When she lands this level 1 super, Lab Coat gets a 21% damage buff to her special moves and plants a 21% damage nerf into the opponent’s attacks. When she has this damage buff in place, has the damage boost from being the final remaining character on her team, and Sparking Blast in play, all she needs is essentially three special moves and two supers to wipe out an opponent’s health bar.

There are more ridiculous infinites and 100% combos to see here, so make sure to watch JMCrofts’ full video below.
