The Evil Within games are a strange set of titles that have grown on me over the years. Shinji Mikami’s The Evil Within has become a cult hit among horror fans, even with its questionable gameplay choices. With October being the spooky month, Epic Games Store decided to spread some love among gamers. The best way they did that was by offering The Evil Within for free on the Epic Games Store.
Epic Games Offer The Evil Within for Free for the First Time
Epic Games consistently offers free games every Thursday on their marketplace. And if you want to stay up-to-date with their offering, we have a handy guide with a list of the free games, updated every week. While the strategy hasn’t been easy on the Fortnite developer’s wallet, they are adamant about customer retention. While they have repeated their previous offerings, they are introducing two sets of games they haven’t offered previously.
Starting October 19, Epic Games Store users can claim the first Evil Within gamefor free. As usual, you will require an EGS account to redeem the game, and it’s yours to keep once claimed. The game is available to claim for a whole week, up until October 26. The ongoing deal on the title only includes the base game and not the three DLCs that the game received. You have to purchase them separately.
Coming next week, The Evil Within 2 will replace the first game as a free offering. That game will be free-to-claim from October 26 and will require an EGS account. Furthermore, it will also be available to claim for a week. Unlike its predecessor, the second game doesn’t have any DLCs. Hence, you get to experience the entire story and conclusion of the saga.
The Evil Within series is a set of third-person survival games developed by Tango Gameworks. The first game, directed by Shinji Mikami, followed a group of detectives stuck in an ever-changing landscape while trying to arrest a supernatural serial killer. It had the signature Mikami touch to it. Furthermore, the game tried to emulate survival movies, introducing letterboxing and other features seen in movies.
The sequel, which Mikami didn’t direct but John Johanas did, continues the first game’s storyline. It reintroduces Sebastian Castellanos, who goes into a spooky Matrix to catch a serial killer and inadvertently comes across his wife, who he thought was dead. Oh, also there is just a lot of white color in this game. Your pod has white water in it. Seriously, there is a lot of white in the game.
Both the games have managed to achieve cult status. Even I have been enamored by the series to the point where I cosplayed one of the boss baddies from the first game (sorry, I’m not sharing any images). Seeing The Evil Within available for free on the Epic Games Store certainly makes me happy, as many new gamers can now experience its magic. Are you excited to try the games out? We start with a shot of traditional Cammy doing the Street Fighter 6 stretch that caused the fan base to lose its collective mind when it was first shown. It’s easy to forget about your lower back and start building up a ton of secret tension there, so good on Cammy for clearing staying on top of that.
Not to be outdone, Juri shows up in image two with an even more impressive stretch. Miss Han contorts herself into a ball as she seemingly comfortably rests a foot on her own shoulder. Again, good on her for keeping ahead of that lower back tension.
Cammy and Juri proceed to trade images as they show off new and older attire, and both eventually slip into some beachwear that’s a tad on the revealing side. Then we get to the Strongest Woman in the World, Chun-Li.
Our first image featuring Chun sees her and Cammy recreating the relatively recent “He wants to order” meme wherein one party is leaning fully over the other as they order at a drive thru. After that Chun gets her own image as she lounges in some wear reminiscent of the memorable Street Fighter 2 animated movie fight against Vega.

One of the most stacked and important stops on the Capcom Pro Tour 2023 so far is taking place this weekend. The
Capcom Pro Tour 2023 Singapore Offline has officially wrapped up its first day of action, and the winner of this event will not only take home a solid portion of the $37,000 prize pool, but will also secure themselves one of the highly coveted spots at Capcom Cup X.
There is a veritable who’s who of players competing at this tournament, from Rohto|Tokido and BST|Daigo to Eva-E|Hikaru, the world’s highest ranked A.K.I. player online. Today we’re taking a look at the top 64 Street Fighter 6 character usage stats from the event to see which fighters are being used in the higher levels of this competition, as well as how often they’re being played.
Looking over this tournament’s character usage statistics for top 64, there are some glaring numbers that aren’t too surprising. The combatants who are often considered the absolute best in the game, Ken, JP, and Luke, are being used in droves here.
Both JP and Ken — who are often placed as the #1 and #2 characters in the entire game interchangeably — both saw 10 players using them as their main in top 64. Luke sits one rung down on the charts, with 9 total players maining him here at this tournament.
From there, there’s a pretty steep drop off. The next most-used fighter appears to be Chun-Li who is represented 6 times in top 64, which might be surprising considering previous tier placements, but some of the world’s best Chun-Li players recently got together to make a tier list and placed her very high up.
What’s even more interesting, though, is that the world’s #1 ranked A.K.I. player has also made it into top 64 on the winners side. Hikaru is the only A.K.I. player in top 64, and there will undoubtedly be eyes on this player as the tournament progresses since A.K.I.’s tier placement is a big point of discussion at this point in time.
At the Capcom Pro Tour 2023 Singapore Offline, nearly every fighter has some representation in the top 64. Every character except two appears at least one time, with Ryu and Dhalsim being the only ones not featured here.

After launching to an overwhelmingly positive reception, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 continues to make headlines and win the hearts of gamers. We had the same reaction while writing our Spider-Man 2 review, and we are sure you will too. Like the game before, Insomniac injects the latest Spidey game with an overarching story that flawlessly connects and leaves you emotional. Towards the end of Spider-Man 2, players see a stream of cutscenes that hint towards many things. We are here today to break all of the ending and post-credit scenes for you in this guide. So, without further ado, let’s begin.
Spoiler Warning: This post includes massive spoilers for the ending act of Spider-Man 2. Proceed at your own risk.
Spider-Man 2 Ending: Peter Finally Retires
Insomniac Games had decided not to follow the traditional Spider-Man timeline in the comics. In the game’s universe, Peter Parker & Miles Morales work together in New York City to fight crime. However, it naturally does not start this way. We already see Peter Parker as Spider-Man in the original 2018 game, and he battles through various foes and finally defeats Doctor Otto Octavius.
Towards the end of the first game, we see Miles revealing to Peter that, he too, is starting to gain the same powers. However, it is really in Spider-Man: Miles Morales that the namesake really starts to come into his own as he slowly becomes independent. Most of that game is spent with Miles fighting alone and managing his newfound powers while Peter trains him.
After the brutal events of Spider-Man 2, which put both Spiders through the grinder, Peter reveals to Miles that he is taking a step back and finally retiring. After years of service, the older Spider-Man wants to focus on the Emily-May foundation that he will run by himself now that Harry is out of the picture. Miles is receptive to the news, and the duo embrace before the young Spidey zips away to help NYC again. While we can still play as Peter in the free-roam, he has essentially retired when it comes to the cannon story.
As expected, Insomniac has handled both the character arcs with grace. Peter Parker is a person who has selflessly served NYC as Spider-Man. However, his journey has been riddled with much pain and loss. We see this and more as Peter loses Aunt May, battles rejection and firing, tries to manage his relationships, and sacrifices much of his life to be Spider-Man. The fact that he finally gets to retire and work on the foundation signals a life beyond the mask in which he can still help.
On the other hand, Miles has been shown to battle many self-doubts and even wonder if he’s ready to do this. However, we see a confident Miles assuring Peter that he’s got this in Spider-Man 2’s ending. This signals his independence and ability to handle New York City without Peter’s help. However, as a tale old as time, the city will be victim villains once again and if our young Spider-Man cannot handle it, Peter just might make a comeback in a potential Spider-Man 3.
Will We See Green-Goblin in Spider-Man 3?
Those who have finished Spider-Man 2 know the end of the game involves defeating Venom and removing it from Harry. However, the latter almost dies. And while we do bring him back to life, Harry goes into a coma and essentially back to square one, as 2018 Spider-Man’s post-credit showed him. Another ending scene in Spider-Man 2 shows Peter and MJ visiting an unconscious Harry in the hospital. Norman Osborn, Harry’s father, is already there and naturally furious at his son’s state.
While the duo leaves as Normal is raging, he makes a spontaneous decision. Norman calls up his lab and tells them to “Get the G-Serum Ready.” Without even saying anything, you can tell thatthe serum is “Norman’s Oz formula” intended to give the user super strength and life. However, a fatal side effect includes the rupturing of the subject’s mind, which turns them evil. We saw this in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man starring Tobey Maguire.
However, it is not yet clear who will end up becoming the Green Goblin using this serum. In many movie adaptions, we see both the father and son taking up this persona depending on the serum used. However, nostalgic fans are more used to Norman taking this mantle up. Insomniac’s Spider-Man universe could see Norman injecting his son Harry with it to cure him. However, that will inevitably result in him becoming Green Goblin and the main villain of Spider-Man 3. However, since Harry has already made a grand appearance in the current game, we doubt that.
It is more likely that Normal Osborn will inject himself with the G-Serum as a way to exact his vengeance and wreak havoc upon NYC. But what’s clear is that the Green Goblin will most likely return in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3.
Doctor Octopus Hints at His Master Plan
In a surprising turn of events, Dr. Otto Octavious also makes an appearance during the ending of Spider-Man 2. The former supervillain is visited by Norman as he lies trapped aboard the RAFT. A teary Osborn asks Otto about the identity of both Spider-Man as they “ruined his son.” While Otto is satisfied to hear the news, Norman notices the book he’s writing and asks the same. To that, Otto replies, “The Final Chapter.” We don’t know about you, but that little hint is as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face.
It is obvious that Norman Osborn now holds deep-seated hate against the Spider-Men because of his son. Considering Dr. Ock’s history with Peter, it is natural he comes to him. If this continues, we might see the Green Goblin and Dr. Octopus teaming up and coming after our heroes in Spider-Man 3.
The words “The Final Chapter” harken back to the connection between “The Gathering of the Five.” In this storyline, Norman initiates a ritual of the same name after surviving an attempt on his life. However, this doesn’t involve Dr. Octopus and hence could be a reference.
What is more likely is that Insomniac Games is using familiar grounds but taking it to a completely different angle altogether. Judging from the pattern we have seen, this could very well be the case. After asking around for an ending comic chapter related to Spider-Man 2 from my colleagues, I could not find anyone who had seen Harry Don Venom before.
If Insomniac continues to set new precedents, then this crossover against Peter and Miles will definitely be something new and unique. To us, this also sets up the perfect ground for a Spider-Man 3, which is starting to look more and more likely. However, the number 3 should involve three playable characters, right? Keep reading to find out more about that.
Will Cindy Moon Be There in Spider-Man 3?
While this is a minor post-credit scene, it’s also the final one and one worth noting. After all the above is wrapped up, Miles finally gets to meet his mother’s new dating partner. For context – Rio Morales wanted to introduce her son sooner, but the events of Spider-Man 2 took up all his time. Nonetheless, Rio introduces Albert, her partner, who has a daughter named Cindy. For those of you who don’t know, Cindy Moon is from Earth-616 and ends up donning the avatar “Silk” as a hero herself.
While we won’t jump to too many conclusions, it is worth speculating that Peter, Miles, and Silk could create a powerful trio in Spider-Man 3 to defeat the Green Goblin and Dr. Ock. However, even if that doesn’t come to fruition, Silk could very well feature in a standalone game or at least as a DLC for Spider-Man 2, making her a playable character. With all this information given to us, no wonder a lot of people needed Spider-Man 2’s ending explained.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has recently approved the use of the 6 GHz frequency band for various devices, including Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. This decision will allow these devices to operate in the 5.925-7.125 GHz band. It will also provide a whopping 1200MHz of spectrum for unlicensed use.
Most of the previous 6 GHz frequency bands were only for certain devices with a license. Apple, Microsoft, Meta, and other brands applied to the FCC in 2019. They were requesting the unauthorized use of the 6GHz frequency band. They claim that the 6 GHz frequency band can rely on “low interference” and “high speed”. This will allow a series of devices to no longer be constrained by cables. The FCC believes that industry innovation “needs flexibility”. However, it still requires a “series of regulations” to allow relevant equipment to have 6 GHz high-speed transmission capabilities.
Background
The FCC’s decision to approve the use of the 6GHz frequency band for unlicensed devices was made on April 23, 2020. The decision was made to expand the unlicensed use of the 6 GHz bands by permitting very low-power devices in the 5.925-6.425 GHz and 6.525-7.125 GHz portions of the band, totalling 850 megahertz of the spectrum. The FCC’s decision will allow for the use of Wi-Fi 6, the next generation of Wi-Fi, and play a significant role in the growth of the Internet of Things.

Apex Legends, the incredibly skill-demanding battle-royale game made by Respawn Entertainment, is receiving an update soon. Respawn has teased the upcoming legend with a new trailer, and she will be called Conduit. Let’s check out the details about the new and upcoming legend, Conduit, joining the Apex games in Season 19!
Who Is Conduit in Apex Legends?
Conduit is a new legend, and her backstory in relation to the game has been explained in a new Stories from the Outlands video. This is also the first time this legend is being revealed. Conduit’s origin is from the Philippines, and her town was attacked but a Monarch Titan saved her family. Later on, she is seen becoming a fan of the Apex Games and wants to provide for her family by entering the games herself.
How does she get the powers that make her a legend? And what are Conduit’s abilities? In the trailer below, she is seen exposing herself by going into an area with ‘Deadly Radiation‘ and a clear indication stating ‘Do Not Enter’. But yes, of course, our new legend enters to risk everything and perhaps gain some powers, well, not intentionally and accidentally! Towards the end, she is seen touching the remnants of a fallen Titan, and her body seems to gain powers at that moment.
For now, this is just an initial tease for the upcoming Apex Legends update. A major part of this update is, of course, the new legend, Conduit. We don’t really have any details on her actual abilities yet, but we can still speculate. In the new & upcoming legend Conduit’s artwork, it can be seen that she has a drone-like gadget, which will be part of her skillset to help during squad fights.
Moreover, we can see that she also has a blue substance flowing through her veins.
