  • 19-year-old arrested after missing girlfriend's body is found in her trunk

HOUSTON (TCD) — Police arrested a 19-year-old male on suspicion of murder after his missing girlfriend’s body was found in the trunk of her car.

According to the Houston Police Department, on Tuesday, Nov. 28, the 21-year-old victim’s family reported her missing after learning she did not show up for school that day. Relatives reportedly found her Honda Civic parked on Indigo Street and became concerned.

Later that day, one of the victim’s relatives forcibly opened the car and discovered the victim unresponsive inside the trunk. Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived and pronounced her deceased. Houston Police said the victim “had signs of trauma to her face.”

KHOU-TV identified the victim as Idania Maria Campos Muñoz.

Houston Police said Muñoz’s boyfriend, Ariel Cruz, reportedly joined her family in the search. Homicide detectives spoke with Cruz and he allegedly confessed to killing Muñoz. He was then arrested and charged with murder.

Court documents cited by KHOU allege Cruz fatally shot Muñoz because she ended their relationship.

Cruz is being held on $500,000 bond.

  • Man sentenced for decapitating friend with ax and leaving head in wood stove

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (TCD) — A 30-year-old North Dakota man will spend 35 years behind bars for fatally striking one person with a metal iron and decapitating another within the exterior boundaries of Navajo Nation in 2021.

According to a Nov. 28 news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Mexico, a judge handed Shilo Aaron Oldrock the sentence in connection with the deaths of two victims, who were only identified as E.B and P.S.

Oldrock, a member of the Spirit Lake Sioux Tribe, pleaded guilty in federal court in August to second-degree murder and voluntary manslaughter.

On the night of Jan. 29, 2021, P.S. and E.B. reportedly got into a fight while they were drinking alcohol and using methamphetamine with Oldrock. The attorney’s office said P.S. sustained an injury during the dispute, and Oldrock didn’t render aid. Instead, as a way to “finish off” P.S., Oldrock fatally struck P.S. in the head with a metal iron. He later burned the remains in a barrel to cover up the death.

P.S.’s family located his abandoned vehicle and reported him missing. The FBI added P.S. to their List of Native Americans Verified as Missing Throughout New Mexico and the Navajo Nation, and for the next two years, his family searched for him.

According to the attorney’s office, in mid-October 2021, “driven by paranoia from the killing of P.S. and the death of Oldrock’s grandmother,” Oldrock stabbed E.B. approximately 22 times and decapitated him with an ax. Oldrock then threw the head into a wood stove inside the victim’s home.

According to a criminal complaint, on the day of E.B.’s death, Oldrock waved down a ride from someone and asked them to take him to the flea market where his mother worked. The witness told authorities that Oldrock had a “black eye, cuts on his face, blood on his hands, and blood on his clothes.”

During the drive, Oldrock reportedly admitted to the witness that he had killed E.B., “chopped off” his head, and “threw his head in the wood stove.” The complaint alleges that Oldrock said he was angry with E.B. because he believed he had killed Oldrock’s uncle and “threw Oldrock’s mother to the ground.” Additionally, Oldrock reportedly told the witness, “What comes around, goes around.”

Investigators recovered evidence at the scene, including a 4-foot ax and a “charred human head” from the wood stove.

According to the attorney’s office, Oldrock eventually confessed to law enforcement that he had killed E.B. and P.S.

U.S. Attorney Alexander Uballez said in a statement, “It is our solemn duty to bring justice and answers to grieving Tribal communities.”

Uballez continued, “No amount of investigation, prosecution, or years in prison will bring back a murdered loved one. But this team of local, tribal, and federal law enforcement partners will meet the case of each missing and murdered Indigenous person with urgency, transparency, and coordination.”

  • Watchdog Reveals How Much DC Is Spending To Refresh BLM Mural As Violent Crime Surges

    From Daily Caller:

Washington, D.C., spent an eyebrow-raising amount of money to refresh a Black Lives Matter mural amid concerns of surging crime and declining support for the group, according to Judicial Watch.

The nation’s capital reportedly spent $270,000 to repaint “Black Lives Matter Plaza,” according to a statement released by Judicial Watch on Nov. 22. The decision to refresh the Black Lives Matter mural, which rests on a two-block-long portion of 16th street NW, has raised eyebrows by those who suggest the group has heavily contributed to worsening crime rates.

The Washington, D.C., city council voted to reduce the police budget by millions in the summer of 2020 as violent riots rocked the nation in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death. Violent crime continued to surge in 2023, with the city seeing 13 homicides in just the first five days of August. Left-wing lawmakers pivoted to providing police with additional resources in “hot spots” where violent crime is common.

  • Dem-run city drops six figures to repaint BLM street mural as crime skyrockets

    From Fox News:

The Washington, D.C., government dropped hundreds of thousands of dollars touching up its “Black Lives Matter” street painting as crime skyrockets in the Democrat-run city.

The refurbishment of the infamous mural, which Democrat Mayor Muriel Bowser initially painted in June 2020 as BLM protests were underway in the city and across the country, appears to have run taxpayers $271,231, including $217,680 in labor costs and $53,551 in paint supplies, according to documents obtained by Judicial Watch from D.C.’s Department of Transportation.

“DC crime is out of control but local leaders continue to waste $270,000 in tax money promoting the extremist Black Lives Matter movement in the heart of Washington DC that is racist, anti-police, anti-American, and often violent,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement.

  • House Dem Calls For Trump To Be ‘Eliminated’ — After Condemning ‘Dangerous’ Rhetoric

    From Daily Wire:

A House Democrat said former President Donald Trump should be “eliminated” moments after he decried the use of “dangerous” rhetoric, an ironic choice of words that prompted blowback and led the congressman to issue an apology.

Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY), who served as lead counsel in the first impeachment of Trump, alluded to Trump’s 2024 bid to return to the White House while issuing a warning about the former president’s comments in relation to January 6 and legal cases.

Tom Fitton, president of the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, said, “In the least, Goldman should be investigated by the Secret Service for this threat.” Collin Rugg, co-owner of Trending Politics, said, “By using his own ‘logic,’ Goldman should never see public office again.”

  • Houston man accused of killing wife because she had an affair with another man

HOUSTON (TCD) — A 37-year-old man is in custody on suspicion of killing his 35-year-old wife, whose body has not yet been found.

According to a news release, Crystal Lynch was reported missing to the Houston Police Department on May 7. She was allegedly with her husband, Marquise Glasper, the previous night in their apartment at 7728 West Gulf Bank Road.

A witness told police that Glasper believed his wife had an affair with another man. Glasper allegedly made comments in the past that he “would harm her if he ever found out about an affair.”

According to KTRK-TV, Glasper was upset because Lynch allegedly went on a double date with a friend.

Police allege Glasper killed his wife on the evening of May 6. Police found blood in Lynch’s car, and during a search of their apartment, officers noted that “it appeared someone tried to clean up a crime scene.”

Investigators reportedly found evidence of blood in the bedroom, two hammers, and ammunition. Court records obtained by KTRK allege there were also bleach stains on the bedroom wall.

Lynch’s daughter reportedly received text messages from her mother after her death that she believes were not written by Lynch.

According to police, officers with the SWAT team found Glasper on Saturday, Nov. 25, and took him into custody without incident. Glasper was charged with murder, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and tampering with evidence — human corpse. He remains held in the Harris County Jail on $400,000 bond.

KTRK reports that prosecutors are seeking to increase Glasper’s bond to $1 million.

  • 12-year-old leads Michigan police on chase after stealing forklift from school

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (TCD) — Police detained a 12-year-old boy after he stole a forklift from a middle school and led police on a lengthy chase throughout the city.

According to Ann Arbor Police, on Saturday, Nov. 25, at 6:45 p.m., officers were called to Forsythe Middle School on Newport Road regarding a juvenile trying to steal a forklift. Three minutes later, police found the construction vehicle driving southbound without safety lights on. Several police officers engaged in a pursuit with emergency lights and sirens, though their speed did not surpass 20 mph.

Ann Arbor Police shared footage of the pursuit in a 30-minute video in which the officer strategizes with his partner and tells the boy to pull over.

Police said the forklift hit about 10 cars during the pursuit. No one was injured.

About half an hour later, at 7:18 p.m., Ann Arbor Police stopped the chase after the forklift crossed the M-14 highway. Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office deputies took over the pursuit until the juvenile stopped driving at 7:53 p.m.

Police identified the driver only as a 12-year-old boy from Ann Arbor. Officers took him into custody and booked him in the juvenile detention center.

According to police, the boy managed to steal the construction equipment because it was unlocked and the keys were hidden inside. That specific type of forklift can weigh up to 35,000 pounds, police said.

Ann Arbor Police said in the statement, “This was a very dangerous situation that could’ve easily ended with serious injuries.”

  • 14-year-old charged with murder for allegedly fatally stabbing classmate, injuring another

RALEIGH, N.C. (TCD) — A 14-year-old boy was taken into custody after he allegedly stabbed two teen classmates, killing one and injuring another.

According to a statement, on Monday, Nov. 27, at 11:01 a.m., a school resource officer at Southeast Raleigh High School contacted Raleigh Police to report a student had been stabbed during a fight with other students. Officers and school security guards provided aid to two teen victims who were soon taken to a local hospital.

Raleigh Police said a 15-year-old died and a 16-year-old remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police took arrested a 14-year-old after getting a secure custody order and booked him on a charge of murder on a juvenile petition.

The suspect’s mother told the Raleigh News & Observer that the altercation between the students allegedly stemmed from an incident a few weeks ago when her daughter got into a fight at the school. After that altercation, several teens allegedly showed up at the mother’s house and attacked her and her mother.

The mother said she told her son’s case worker at school some of the other students were “threatening to jump on him, to do this, do that” because the suspect defended his sister.

She said, “I warned the school that morning right before I dropped him off.”

Raleigh Police Lt. Jason Borneo told the News & Observer in a statement, “Our investigators will examine every lead in this case to determine the motive. This may include looking closely at the relationship or relationships between the juveniles involved and their families.”

The school went into full lockdown following the stabbing. Administrators canceled class on Tuesday, Nov. 28.

WTVD-TV reports Wake County Superintendent Dr. Robert Taylor called the stabbing “unacceptable.”

He added, “In the aftermath of today’s tragedy, we will review all of our safety processes and protocols to determine what happened and what changes may need to be made.”

  • The Origins of the Censorship Industry is Revealed in Shocking New Files

The origins of the Censorship Industry has been veiled in mystery. Now, we have our first glimpses into how it all began.

In the aftermath of Brexit and Trump’s victory in the 2016 election, which shocked the global elites and hardened them into taking aggressive action, a shadowy network of researchers was formed to do nothing less than police the Internet for state-disapproved narratives.

Michael Shellenberger, along with Alex Gutentag and Matt Taibbi, unearthed the disturbing trove of documents in their Substack named Public and tried to unravel the nascent scheme create the “Censorship Industrial Complex.”

Shellenberger, dubbing these the CTIL Files, said that, “Many people insist that governments aren’t involved in censorship, but they are. And now, a whistleblower has come forward with an explosive new trove of documents, rivaling or exceeding the Twitter Files and Facebook Files in scale and importance.”

The investigative journalists then connect the embryonic censorship plans to a trio of shadowy researchers in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Now, a large trove of new documents, including strategy documents, training videos, presentations, and internal messages, reveal that, in 2019, US and UK military and intelligence contractors led by a former UK defense researcher, Sara-Jayne “SJ” Terp, developed the sweeping censorship framework. These contractors co-led CTIL, which partnered with CISA in the spring of 2020.

In truth, the building of the Censorship Industrial Complex began even earlier — in 2018.

The documents reveal a budding nexus between the military, intelligence, and CISA with the Department of Homeland Security and social media platform Facebook.

Internal CTIL Slack messages show Terp, her colleagues, and officials from DHS and Facebook all working closely together in the censorship process.

The CTIL framework and the public-private model are the seeds of what both the US and UK would put into place in 2020 and 2021, including masking censorship within cybersecurity institutions and counter-disinformation agendas; a heavy focus on stopping disfavored narratives, not just wrong facts; and pressuring social media platforms to take down information or take other actions to prevent content from going viral.

In the spring of 2020, CTIL began tracking and reporting disfavored content on social media, such as anti-lockdown narratives like “all jobs are essential,” “we won’t stay home,” and “open America now.” CTIL created a law enforcement channel for reporting content as part of these efforts. The organization also did research on individuals posting anti-lockdown hashtags like #freeCA and kept a spreadsheet with details from their Twitter bios. The group also discussed requesting “takedowns” and reporting website domains to registrars.

While the public-private partnership model has become a favorite method of circumventing constitutional protections for American citizens, it has now fully blossomed into fascism, the CTIL files show.

The CTIL group did not just advocate censorship of state-disapproved narratives, it also advocated psychological warfare against domestic populations to manipulate public opinion.

CTIL’s approach to “disinformation” went far beyond censorship. The documents show that the group engaged in offensive operations to influence public opinion, discussing ways to promote “counter-messaging,” co-opt hashtags, dilute disfavored messaging, create sock puppet accounts, and infiltrate private invite-only groups.

In one suggested list of survey questions, CTIL proposed asking members or potential members, “Have you worked with influence operations (e.g. disinformation, hate speech, other digital harms etc) previously?” The survey then asked whether these influence operations included “active measures” and “psyops.”

The veteran independent journalists aver that these files from from a “highly credible whistleblower” and they were “able to independently verify their legitimacy through extensive cross-checking of information to publicly available sources.”

The report adds that the whistleblower “said they were recruited to participate in CTIL through monthly cybersecurity meetings hosted by DHS,” explaining how the researchers were able to obtain the files.

As has become typical for government agencies that don’t feel they owe the public an explanation, the report notes that the FBI, CISA, Terp and the other key CTIL leaders, did not comment on the report.

But one person involved, Bonnie Smalley, replied over Linked in, saying, “all i can comment on is that i joined cti league which is unaffiliated with any govt orgs because i wanted to combat the inject bleach nonsense online during covid…. i can assure you that we had nothing to do with the govt though,” Shellenberger remarked.

Even left-wing biased Politifact has debunked the distorted report that Donald Trump told people to drink or inject bleach in a “fact check.” Thus, this “fact checker” apparently cannot even get the basic facts of stories right.

Shellenberger’s report, however, states that “the documents suggest that government employees were engaged members of CTIL. One individual who worked for DHS, Justin Frappier, was extremely active in CTIL, participating in regular meetings and leading trainings.”

It gets even worse. CTIL had ostensible ambitions to become part of the federal government, accompanied by taxpayer dollars, massive empowerment, and access to extensive data being gathered on Americans.

CTIL’s ultimate goal, said the whistleblower, ”was to become part of the federal government. In our weekly meetings, they made it clear that they were building these organizations within the federal government, and if you built the first iteration, we could secure a job for you.”

The investigative report finds reason to believe that CTIL was largely able to achieve its goal of becoming embedded in the American people’s government.

Terp’s plan, which she shared in presentations to information security and cybersecurity groups in 2019, was to create “Misinfosec communities” that would include government.

Both public records and the whistleblower’s documents suggest that she achieved this. In April 2020, Chris Krebs, then-Director of CISA, announced on Twitter and in multiple articles, that CISA was partnering with CTIL. “It’s really an information exchange,” said Krebs.

The documents also show that Terp and her colleagues, through a group called MisinfoSec Working Group, which included DiResta, created a censorship, influence, and anti-disinformation strategy called Adversarial Misinformation and Influence Tactics and Techniques (AMITT). They wrote AMITT by adapting a cybersecurity framework developed by MITRE, a major defense and intelligence contractor that has an annual budget of $1 to $2 billion in government funding.

Terp later used AMITT to develop the DISARM framework, which the World Health Organization then employed in “countering anti-vaccination campaigns across Europe.”

Terp then invoked the Orwellian term “cognitive security,” apparently to mean populace’s whose worldviews align with those of government narratives.

A key component of Terp’s work through CTIL, MisinfoSec, and AMITT was to insert the concept of “cognitive security” into the fields of cybersecurity and information security.

The research paints a picture of a Censorship Industry that has gotten entirely out-of-control.

The sum total of the documents is a clear picture of a highly coordinated and sophisticated effort by the US and UK governments to build a domestic censorship effort and influence operations similar to the ones they have used in foreign countries. At one point, Terp openly referenced her work “in the background” on social media issues related to the Arab Spring. Another time, the whistleblower said, she expressed her own apparent surprise that she would ever use such tactics, developed for foreign nationals, against American citizens.

As Shellenberger pointed out, referencing the whistleblower’s statements, roughly 12-20 active people involved in CTIL worked at the FBI or CISA.

“For a while, they had their agency seals — FBI, CISA, whatever — next to your name,” on the Slack messaging service, said the whistleblower. Terp “had a CISA badge that went away at some point,” the whistleblower said.

This is by no means out of the norm. Dozens of former national security officials have gone to work for social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter after leaving government service. Social media has been thoroughly infiltrated by intelligence actors, which partly explains the hostility against Elon Musk’s relatively free speech platform X after a partial purge of such state actors from Twitter.

Shellenberger, Taibbi, and others will testify before the House Weaponization Committee on Thursday at 10 a.m.

The disturbing report comes after a movement for Congress defund Newsguard, a purported ‘fact checker’ that unconstitutionally works with the Defense Department and State Department, that is being led by the Free Speech Alliance. The FSA also seeks to pressure the government to cease all operations with Misinformation Police like Newsguard, CTIL, and the Global Disinformation Index.

These narrative policers essentially black list independent journalists and center-right publishers and seek to get them delisted with advertisers.

Elon Musk’s X has also been targeted by Newsguard, prompting him to remark, that it is “a propaganda shop that will produce any lies you want if you pay them enough money.”

  • Man gets life for killing dad, stepmom with machete as they tried to stop him from assaulting teen

KENOSHA, Wis. (TCD) — A judge sentenced a 27-year-old man to life in prison for killing his parents with a machete when they stepped in to try to halt an attempted sexual assault.

Kenosha County court records show Jesus Medrano III pleaded guilty in September to first-degree intentional homicide with use of a dangerous weapon and first-degree attempted sexual assault with use of a dangerous weapon. As part of the plea deal, prosecutors dismissed a second count of intentional homicide and child abuse.

Medrano was sentenced Monday, Nov. 27, to life in prison for intentional homicide and 15 years for sexual assault. He is required to register as a sex offender.

According to court documents cited by WISN-TV, in the early morning of Jan. 6, 2021, Kenosha Police responded to a home on 46th Street after receiving a call from a teen who alleged Medrano choked her. A police officer went inside the home and noticed blood on the floor and walls. The officer then found two deceased adults in a bedroom with apparent stab wounds.

Medrano was not at the residence when police arrived, but officers tracked him down to his brother’s house. He reportedly still had the machete in his hand and was subsequently arrested.

WISN reports Medrano told investigators he had sexual ideations about the 15-year-old, who also lived in the same house. On Jan. 6, he went into the girl’s bedroom with the machete and socks he planned to use if she started to scream. The teen reportedly fought back, so Medrano choked her.

Medrano’s father, Jesus Medrano Jr., ran into the room, and Medrano stabbed him. Medrano stabbed himself in the thigh, then went after his stepmother, Latrice Myers-Medrano.

According to WITI-TV, Kenosha County District Attorney Michael Graveley said Medrano brought the machete “to prevent anyone from stopping his assault.”

The Kenosha News reports Medrano Jr.’s cause of death was trauma and shock from stab wounds. Myers-Medrano suffered blood loss from a stab wound that hit her femoral artery.

At his sentencing hearing, Medrano apologized and said, “I want to start off by taking full responsibility for my crimes.”

Judge Anthony Milisauskas called the case “unreal,” adding, “It’s brutal. It’s shocking. It’s grisly.”

Milisauskas said he would not consider sentencing Medrano to extended supervision because of the “need to protect the public.”

Milisauskas expressed, “The facts of this case are just terrible. The trauma had to be just unbearable and tremendous.”
