Tons of unused costume concepts for Chun-Li, Jamie, JP, and A.K.I. in Street Fighter 6 revealed by Takayuki Nakayama

Earlier today, Takayuki Nakayama revealed a ton of unused character costume concepts for Street Fighter 6. Between Chun-Li, Jamie, JP, and A.K.I., there are over 60 concepts showcased, though it should be mentioned that some of the costumes are just variations of other outfits.

Funnily enough, Chun-Li actually has the most costume concepts shown for what would’ve been her Outfit 3. By herself, about 26 different costumes were considered until the developers finally settled on something that’s most similar to the large shot of Chun-Li from the first image.

What’s interesting is that a number of these concepts seem to remind a lot of Yun and Yang, characters that share Chun-Li’s Chinese descent. Of course, it’s been previously mentioned that the developers were thinking of implementing an athletic costume for Chun-Li as her third costume, but they ultimately settled on a more casual look.

Jamie’s costumes seem to emphasize his flamboyant nature as well as his martial arts skills. Over half the concepts utilized red as the main color, which the developers ultimately settled on as the default colors of Jamie’s Outfit 2

JP’s appearances generally have him looking more regal than the rest of the roster. For his Outfit 3, the developers opted to go for something that showed off JP’s chest, though he ends up also shoulder a robe in the final version of the costume.

A.K.I. probably has the most varied of concepts for her Outfit 2. In the end, the developers went for a dress with her, though they also added some black to help contrast with all of the red.
