Amy Robach joined the ABC morning show back in 2012. Post-Good Morning America, she took over as host when the series “Pandemic: What You Need to Know” morphed into “GMA3: What You Need to Know.”
In 2014, ABC News brought T.J. Holmes on board. He and Robach quickly became fast friends. Later, Holmes was named as Robach’s co-host.
Robach told People, “You couldn’t have picked a better person to ask me what I thought of.” She revealed that they’d been trying to find a way to work together for about five years.
Holmes, she said, is “like my brother.” Holmes agreed, saying they can finish each other’s sentences. They get along really well, which is a blessing.
Holmes added, “It’s so wonderful to have, again, it’s that trust, and you don’t always have that on the set.” He emphasized the importance of trust, saying that no matter what happens, they have each other’s backs.
Robach also shared a bit about her personal life. She and her husband, Andrew Shue, often go on double dates with Holmes and his wife, Marilee Fiebig. A bit of a fun fact, wouldn’t you say?
