The Tinapa Free Zone & Resort, General Manager, Dr. Francis Ekom, today, Friday, 3rd of July, 2020, led a team of Heads of the various government agencies operating in Tinapa, including the Managing Directors of the Free Zone Enterprises to pay a condolence visit to the Nigeria Customs Service, Cross River State Command, following the sudden demise of the Assistant Comptroller of Customs serving in the Tinapa Free Zone, Mr. Charles Ofodile who died Thursday, 2nd of July, 2020.
Speaking during the visit, Dr. Ekom commiserated with the Customs Comptroller, Cross River State Command, Mr. Ahmed Azerema and the Customs High Command, describing the late Ofodile as a fine Officer whose expertise will be sorely be missed, especially now that efforts are on by the Tinapa Management to forge friendship and cordiality among Staff of the various Federal Government Agencies operating in the facility.
This according to him, will minimize inter-agency rivalry and conflict while at the same time enhancing the investment climate in the Zone.
Dr. Ekom prayed God to grant the deceased Officer’s immediate family and the Customs Command the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
In his response, the Customs Comptroller, Cross River State Command, Mr. Ahmed Azerema, thanked the General Manager and the Zone’s Management for the visit, saying that the passing of the late Mr. Charles Ofodile, is a loss to the Command, promising to convey the condolence to the Customs Headquarters in Abuja. #
