The Nigeria Police Force has granted administrative bail to TikToker Olumide Ogunsanwo, also known as Seaking, who called Pastor Enoch Adeboye “very stupid and foolish.”
Seaking’s release was disclosed in a post on X by a human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore.
The TikToker allegedly insulted the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s (RCCG) general overseer over his call for church members to fast and pray for 100 days.
Following the TikToker’s insult, the Concerned Christian Youth Forum petitioned the police and SeaKing was arrested.
He was moved to the Federal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja, headed by DIG Dasuki Galandanchi, on allegations of cyberbullying.
Sowore tweeted, “We are pleased to confirm that Olumide Ogunsanwo @seaking303 has been released from Nigeria Police Force custody after our prompt rejection of the initial bail condition requiring a Level 12 or 10 civil servant, resulting in a swift agreement and release on administrative bail, signed by me.
“Great thanks to Inibehe Effiong, Adeyanju Deji, Tope Temokun, Marshal D. F. Abubakar and the great community of conscientious citizens who reject oppression of all kinds in our nation! #RevolutionNow.”
Earlier on Sunday, Adeboye demanded the TikToker’s release during his church’s February Holy Ghost service, which was held in Simawa, Ogun State’s 3 km by 3 km auditorium.
According to him, Speaking was simply fulfilling a prophecy.
“God told us at the beginning of this year that mockers would be more active; they would become bolder, even hotter,” said the RCCG leader.
“I heard that there was someone who lambasted me thoroughly because I asked my people to fast and pray for 100 days. I did not ask him to fast. I was only talking to my children.
“I was told that some people were so angry and they went and arrested him. Release him! He is fulfilling prophecy.”
