Mason Greenwood is a man in demand after his loan spell at Getafe.

On his return to football after his suspension at United, Greenwood couldn’t have asked for a better start.

With ten goals in 36 appearances winning him the Getafe Player of the Season award, the 22-year-old has shown the world of football that he is back and ready to hit the ground running.

These performances have made a number of top European clubs take not of the winger with the likes of Borussia Dortmund looking to the Englishman as a back up of their pursuit of Jadon Sancho falls through.

Elsewhere in Europe, it’s been reported that talks with Juventus have been progressing, even to the point of a player-swap deal being considered by Juve with Samuel Illing-Junior being thrown into the mix to in an attempt to lower United’s asking price for Greenwood.

It’s also been reported that Napoli are looking to rival Juventus for the winger’s signature, with another Italian club coming to the table with the full asking price ready to swoop for the young star.

Reports from The Daily Mail suggest that Lazio have been a long term fan of Greenwood and have now opened talks with the Red Devils, offering the full £30 million being asked for 22-year-old.

After missing out on the Englishman last year, attempting to sign Greenwood on lona before he ultimately decided to go to Getafe, Lazio are attempting to convince Greenwood that a move to their squad would be the best chance to building on the progress made at Getafe in restarting his footballing career.

It’s expected that this forward move by the Serie A side will spark other clubs to formalise their interest with a number of teams across Germany, Spain and Portugal all being reported as interested in the winger yet to come forward.
