Not less than three people have been feared dead as a speeding Sienna vehicle lost control and rammed into traders at a market in Anambra State.
The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, happened at the Oye Agu Market, Abagana, in Njikoka Local Government Area of the state.
Sympathisers were heard shouting “blood of Jesus” in a video of the incident seen by THE WHISTLER.
A closer look revealed a lad being removed beneath the ill-fated vehicle alive, with onlookers saying “This boy, your God is alive”.
However, about three persons, comprising an adolescent boy and a girl, were seen motionlessly lying down with blood stains.
Tomatoes were seen scattered at the premises of the accident. It is not clear if more traders were trapped under the vehicle.
Meanwhile, the President-General of the Abagana community, Engr Ben Okongwu, confirmed the incident.
He said at least three persons died in the crash, including an under-aged child, while some other persons sustained some degree of injuries.
The Head, the Public Enlightenment unit, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra State Command, RC Margaret Onabe, however, said she was not aware of the incident as of the time of filing this report.
