A car accident that happened on Monday has claimed the lives of three girls, after a white Mercedes GLK, was involved in a crash on MCC Road, Calabar Municipal, Cross River State.
This was made known by one Engr Ofemicity via his Facebook page on Monday night. According to him, the Mercedes was part of a convoy travelling along MCC Road when the accident occurred.
He alleged that the driver, a young man, lost control of the car, which led to the fatal collision.
Following the crash, residents of the areas and rescuers reportedly pulled one of the girls from the car with a dismembered body.
Ofemicity stated that the severity of the crash led to the instant death of three of the four female passengers at the scene.
The only survivor suffered severe injuries, including broken limbs, and was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
The post read, “A devastating car accident in the early hours of this morning on MCC Road, Calabar municipal, Cross River State has claimed the lives of 3 girls and left the community in shock.
“The accident occurred during what started as a late-night outing for the occupants of a white Mercedes GLK, a vehicle that had only been purchased few weeks prior. The pre-dawn silence was shattered by a deafening crash, alarming nearby residents who rushed to the scene.
“There, they found the car’s mangled remains, a stark testament to the deadly impact. the vehicle was part of a group traveling along MCC Road when tragedy struck. Reports indicate that the driver, a young man, lost control of the car, resulting in the catastrophic collision. three of four of the female passengers died instantly at the scene, while the driver miraculously survived.
One of the girls is currently being pulled from the wreckage with a dismembered body.
the other girl who is suspected to have survived, suffered severe injuries, including a broken leg and arm. She was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.”
However, attempts to reach the Cross River Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) for comment were unsuccessful as the calls did not go through.
