Thomas Frank has doubled down on his stance regarding the Manchester United manager job today.
Erik ten Hag was relieved of his duties this afternoon and potential replacements have already been questioned by the media.
Ruben Amorim already neglected to speak on joing United in a pre-match press conference.
‘I was already expecting this question and obviously I’m not going to talk about the future, because otherwise I’ll always have to comment.
‘I’m very proud to be Sporting coach, that’s all,’ he said.

Now, Thomas Frank has also addressed this topic and clarified that he is totally focused on managing Brentford at the moment.
‘I have one focus which is to do the very best to beat Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow in the Carabao cup and focus on that.
‘I have said many, many times I am very happy here. I think it’s one of the best clubs in the world.
‘What happens in the future? Who knows,’ he said.
The 51-year-old did not shut down the possibility of joining United but still provided a professional answer.

He expressed his sympathy towards Ten Hag and praised him for bringing silverware back to Old Trafford.
‘Of course I feel for Erik. I think he’s a a great coach. I think he’s had a great career.
‘Also, I think he’s done a good job at Man United – two trophies in two years,’ the Danish manager argued.
Frank further explained that United should be realistic with their expectations and that Ten Hag did a good enough job at the helm.
‘I think in a non-stop developing football world, that’s more than acceptable in these big clubs.
‘Especially at Man United there’s massive expectations but I think there also needs to be a bit of a reality check.
‘When you’re a head coach or manager yourself, you always feel for guys that lose their job,’ Frank said.
