Premium Collectibles Studio seems to have a good thing going with their premium Street Fighter power lifting statues as they’ve announced Ryu as the third in the emerging series.
The Street Fighter poster boy is in top form with a design so on point that even non-collectors will find themselves checking their bank accounts to see if they can afford the $750 figure. Don’t be too quick to pre-order, though, as there are actually three versions of power lifting protagonist to choose from, one of which is Evil Ryu from Street Fighter 4.
This series kicked off with a jaw-dropping Chun-Li statue back in January. Pre-orders must have been substantial because a similar workout Cammy statue popped up just a few months later in April.
Ryu now looks to join the ladies as he slips into workout trunks and hits the gym as his 21 inch statue sees him curling more than 360 pounds. The standard version sees bearded Ryu in white trunks with black plates, but there’s also a shaven version that puts Ryu in red trunks with red plates.
Then there’s the Street Fighter 4 Evil Ryu version that, in my humble opinion, is the best of the bunch. This statue depicts Ryu with glowing red eyes and his vicious chest crater that you can see from both the front and the back.
You can currently pre-order any one of these Ryu statues for $675, but that price will go up to $750 when they eventually go on the market (release date not yet established). Each of these quality collectibles are handmade and come with an art print by concept artist, Edwin Huang.
Check out our gallery that shows off each version of Ryu below, and then head on over to the PCS store to pre-order if you like what you see.
