Everybody loves free costumes in fighting games. In a world where additional cosmetics can cost players a pretty penny, there isn’t a soul in this timeline nor Liu Kang’s new timeline that doesn’t like free character costumes.
With that being said, you’ll be pleased to hear that Mortal Kombat 1 currently has a new skin for Kitana that you can grab in-game right now, free of charge. This costume introduces a maskless option that unveils the princess’ full beauty.
“Fight as Outworld Beauty Kitana with the latest free skin available in your inventory,” the in-game notification starts. “Thank you for playing Mortal Kombat 1!”
If you boot up Mortal Kombat 1 right now, this new Kitana skin should already be in your inventory without having to do anything extra. Simply go into the character customization mode, pick Kitana, and you will find it under her alternate palettes.
This free costume actually includes two separate color palettes to choose from giving players even more options here. We see the first palette as Kitana’s default blue, while the second one comes in at a lighter blue.
The alternate skin mainly takes after Kitana’s default costume in Mortal Kombat 1, but it removes her mask entirely. Since her main gear item in the game is her fan and not her mask, this outfit gives players a maskless option should they want one.
